No wonder people are so worried about PRC EVs going to markets outside of China. This EV clearly is a strong competitor to German and Japanese Brands.
I don’t see a German or Japanese brand EV competes.
Porsche has a refined platform with the Taycan, it could start trickling down to the cheaper models and also get more advanced for the next generation in a few years.
I'm again saying EVs are hype.
and if we really want to move for better future we need something else.
you can see the -ve sides of EVs in next 10yrs

There are so many high quality EV cars in China. The Zeekr 007 is only USD28,000. It has full leather, HUD, 20 inch wheels, luxurious cabin, auto parking, 21 speaker system, etc. I just placed an order and so excited. Show how much companies are ripping off the customers in Western countries.
I tried the IM car in shanghai, makes ferrari look like shit
😂😅😊❤🎉 bạn thật vui tính
@@user-nj2cd1ef7v ừ tốt hơn là ảo tưởng
I agree, that 2.73 seconds will put most Ferraris to shame
It doesn't go as fast as a Ferrari and its Chinese so the quality will be questionable like most Chinese cars with super low prices quality is being cut somewhere.
@@Sophisticatedduck-po4lp price and brand has nothing to do with quality, land rover, Tesla and other American products already proved this, but it's something easy to spread lies about
Send some over to Australia
Bring them to North America. So beautiful
The US will never let that happen even if it will undercut the competition
The US gov won't allow that, that'd be actual competition and US automakers can't deal with that.
Their just delaying the inevitable
US dont want chinese tech so let them live and fall behind.
North Americans are only interested in suv's, which is a shame. Would love to have a phev wagon.
I'm impressed!

CATL already got solid state battery in production? I though they going to joint venture with BYD to produce solid state...they are even faster than Talent New Energy solid battery at 720Wh/kg battery???
China EV battery progresses so fast that it scares the hell out of me.
这是清陶能源的电池,不是宁德时代
Its not CATL, another startup owned by SAIC. And from the description its a supercapacitor not a battery.
Technically, it's a "semi solid state" battery. And although it sounds like a downgrade from the real "solid state" battery we all are waiting for, it's still more energy dense than the classic lithium-ion battery found in your iPhone. It's also less prone to leak, and is more environmentally friendly to produce.
competition is severe inside china, every manufacturers should do their best to stay afloat, that's why the progress is so fast.
When they tell you they are working on 5.5G, it means they are already going to roll out 6G. 🎉
My god, EV is the future
Always great to get a sneak preview of a car
Nice looking but the styling is similar to many sedans announced recently. To the right of this video I see Geely E8 video and the recently announced Xiaomi SU7 and I think there's more that looks similar . I think this styling started since Nio ET5.
It's not from ET5, IM have launched several cars already years ago, their designs don't change much since then.
Hmmm Porsche 911 turbo kinda numbers - thats no small thing! - great review as always
Great preview! Hope to see a full review of the car later. When do you think that will be?
Finally we are getting there once we cross the regular 1800 km range we can officially move on from other cars and go for water and Evs finally..
Chinese EV is very good
What a great design 😍😍
The vehicle market is going to be wild. The stuff coming out of China is crazy impressive.
The battery is huge in terms of kWh but I'm wondering if that a huge battery in size or does the semi solid state construction allow them to have more kWh in a smaller battery. Does it charge a lot faster than the current batteries?
New subscriber, I like your content...
Wow that rear window is nothing more than a port hole for viewing! I hope it comes with a digital rearview mirror! Does it have a frunk?
Or even a fartment.
Cheers mate
thanks for the review..
It seems we are playing games in the car. my brother, well done. Hardly believe the Chinese tear down Japan and Gameny Cars
New cars now have the most extreme competition to drive the market to cars like this and far beyond. I know I'd love to have one...I'm retired and have two fossil fuelers ... But no way most of us retirees will ever afford these cars.
Awesome, just worried about the charging times. The main obstacle for EVs taking over ICE and hybrids. Otherwise, why introducing swaping stations?
Wow that's amazing
That yoke thing needs to go. It's an automobile, not an aircraft...🤣
im pretty sure its from f1...
Its an option but people wo purcase this car 70% of them choose yoke.
Morning mate
They should just shrink L7. That's a more sleak styling.
need this car in melbourne
Nio ET7 did this already. Way better car
Does the car have battery swap or just charging?...
Audi is using this brand's platform to build their EV.
nice videos. Request. At least ad city or town or road name where you drive in china!! Places look beautiful and would like to know about place too! 😂
Head-on competitor to the new Xiamoi SU7 - both designs are inspired by the Taycan. Btw, when will you review the SU7?
SS-battery... I believe it when it's in the production cars
Its a supercapacitor rather than battery.
competition make china ev more competitive
Above description says IM is a Changan brand, but in the video, he says SAIC, which matches all the sources I've seen, fwiw.
shanghai ,not chongqing(changan)
Bellissimo ! How do you think this car is better then SU7?
Su7 design more "Porsche". Nicer
A fight against Xiaomi SU7, Geely Galaxy E8, Zeekr 007, MG9, well , take your pick...

Very exciting times!
Probably released in the west using MG brand
Zeekr 007 ❤️

You are missing out on the Xiaomi su7. The other guy got almost 1 million views. I hope when you bring it to your channel, you actually make a direct comparison against the model 3 performance and not just a simple car review

Sony Ericsson.
I was sort of impressed by the LS6 when I saw it. Apparently these are going to be MGs in other markets.
IM is going to be MG's Luxury brand like Lexus of Toyota
*in a whisper voice* why does it feel like we are stealing a review from the guy's voice.
Finally a car where the screen is not sticking out the dashboard like it's on with super glue
I actually disagree, I prefer the softer styling of this and the LS models to the L7's styling. Excited for these to come to Europe as IM is gonna come to my native market of Finland soon, too. SAIC did it right by introducing budget and volume models of all shapes and sizes first before attempting the premium market, unlike Dongfeng who brought Voyah first before anything else and Voyah is flopping hard.
Xiaomi is the next BYD
Such a gorgeous and more practical car than a Tesla… they went overboard with the infotainment screens though. 😂
Send them to Canada please.
will you cover Xiaomi su7?
Done already
I NEED that car to be manufactured in RHD and imported/distributed in the UK/Irish market........my wish list is a 350-400hp RWD long range model (650km WLTP range).........is my wish list remotely possible do you think?????? (that is a beautiful car)
you want 650km real life range :) WLTP feels more like a finger in the air estimate :/
@@AndrewTSq true....but 650kms would be at the upper end of the WLTP charts. Maybe 750kms WLTP.
BYD Seal LR is 570kms......so I reckon an extra 100-150kms would keep me covered for nearly all of my work day scenarios.
This car already confirmed will be released in UK along with the other one from Lizhi

We western people are now the third world. No kidding. We even don't have the minimal infrastructure needed to see this wonder circulate
hey wheelsboy, xiaomi Su7 when?

The BYD seal, Xiaomi Su7 and this car, they all look the same. Why?
Is WillIAm back making cars again?
No ‘DeLorean doors’ here😂!
The only car EV I'd purchase from China is RC cars. Lmao

That car has the same silhouette of the Xiaomi SU7 🤔
Coz it's a future crime scene when it all goes tits up

All the wheels are ugly - including the steering "wheel" and the interior needs actual knobs and buttons instead of the touch screen crap. Performance figures are impressive and it looks pretty good - especially the Aston Martin back!
Looks so good.

We want an electric car that does not explode, does not burn, and is cheap

Then you come to the right place.
I really miss the chrome touches on the exterior of these new EVs flooding the market. I dnt know but they all seem to have something missing in their design.
Su7 plz
Majority of world population's are in urban areas just want to get to A2B. reading sceptics here are the once never got of their bottom and travelled to China yet, they sound like a worlds experts.
People need a a reliable low cost vehicle to get around the city and Chinese car makers are listening. Here we are waiting our politicians to allow us buying these cars.
I am personally sick of getting robbed by legacy car repairs and service centres. Just replace the Oil pump on my Merc, which they had to pull the engine out to replace it, Great design from German engineering cost me $4200.
Is that an aircon vent on the wireless charger? Such a simple thing yet super useful for keeping your phone cool while wireless charging.
yes
Good to see more valuable new brands come to the market, it is time to educate those arrogant car Giants
Do skywell Skyhome review.
SAIC, please rebrand it with MG, bring it to globe.
I only want cars built with passion.
No confidence if perceived as opportunist.
Why do you say you're 175 cm/5"9 inches tall, when they aren't equivalent?
Genuinely interested in this as an alternative to the Tesla Model 3 Ludicrous I'm considering buying later this year.
That says a lot about you if you're buying a Tesla. There's plenty of spam sites you can bring that crap too.

It may very well be. I've heard from people 'in the know', that this will be coming to Europe as an MG, I guess likely the same for Australia (at least I'm assuming that's where you're from with your name)so should have an extensive dealer network, warranty and competitive prices.
Does it still have the weird barely operable window and door lock controls? Couldn’t tell from the video.
When u compared this car to the other "IM" cars, wouldve been nice to cut to some B-rolls to show what those other cars actually looked like since I have never seen them, nor did 90% of ur viewers I'd presume.
Beatiful design.....if this had a Japanese or a European badge it would cost $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$...too bad for China though.... not allowed to sell in NA.
only problem is that the "cheap" ev's from China cost a lot in Europe :) BYD is more expensive than Tesla for example
@@AndrewTSq Governments add huge Tariffs ( tax ) on these cars so they won't under sell the local ones. Yeah especially when they add solar and cheap and long lasting batteries.
New day new Chinese EV vehicle, wondering how many will be here in 5 years 🤔
This is made by IM Motors, a sub brand of SAIC which is China's largest state owned car company
They’d have to do it without the taxi cab LIDAR roof hump for export markets.
It looks like the xiaomi or the xiaomi looks like this one.
It's going to kill Mercedes-Benz if it's sold in Germany.
133kWh, 1000km, 3 seconds on math, 13.3kWh/100km. Haha. At 60 km/h for 15 hours.
the design language is Porche
A little bit of competition that would wake Tesla up. How did Tesla progress the last 8 years? about 5Okm more in autonomy? 200km autonomy on highway is too little.
EV should be imported without any taxes to Europe, environment is more important.
Random ahh chinese car enters the competition 📈📈
