    I love the reject slot (9:00) it's where I get most of my foreign coins ( euros, pesos, car wash tokens) that I use as ball markers when I play golf.

    That is a nice chunk of Change ! I do the same thing with the smaller change - The Dollar Coins were have here , and Quarters I once and a while organize in different bags then put the bags back into a container. Great Video Bert !

    You must not have a bank account. I would have rolled those coins and turned them in at the Bank for free... Coinstar is a ripoff, unless you get a gift card for no processing fee.

      My bank doesn't do it neither one of them do anymore they took out their machines cuz it was too much of a hassle

      ...... she kept the change😳🤣💰😢
      Hey but there was no charge💰
      No need to roll them up
      Just handed over a large container to the bank teller and she dumped it into a machine
      Instant deposit💰

      10 years ago my wife and I walked into our credit union with 3 small gym bags , the manager jump up . I said I'm cashing coins her answer was I thought you where here to Rob us .we all had a laugh at that .

    We have a 3 gallon water bottle we use for pennies. And today I was counting my silver change that I just throw in a little bowl an it had $50 in it. Keeping change pays off . It's like a gift for yourself

    I filled a five gallon bottle with change ,light on the pennies ...came to around 2200.00...rolled it all ,took awhile...another time I saved all ones and fives for a year...came to little over a thousand. I use cash mostly

    Cashed ours in a few weeks ago. About $150 which is what we used to pay for our new flooring in our kitchen. I always hoard chanve and pick it up off the ground everytime I see it.

    Dam 6mnths, nice haul!! That used to be about a yr for me... Hey try the bank in BM' across from the parts store behind the shell by the entrance to the lakes if you get my location. Last time we were there they had there own machine that did it & we didn't have acct and did bus. Not the machine though, check there next time save you your hard owned money... That area , place you went higher proc., fee due to area!

    I can't believe that you had that much change from 6 months. It would take me many years to get that much change together. I use my debit card to do the bulk of my shopping. Any change I get is used to cover small purchases that I don't want to use the debit card on.

    I got tired of paying the 8% so I started going to casino. They would count it and give me voucher. No 8%. I would have the lunch buffet and come home with the rest of my cash

    Reminds me of when a buddy and me took his paps 5 gal bucket full to the top of penny's to the bank to one of these machines,half way threw the machine stop and made a horrible noise and came to a stop,we thought we broke there machine,well come to find out it filled all the money bags full, 300 some dollars worth of pennys,believe it or not a 5 gal bucket full of penny's weight a shit ton lol

      Credit unions are good for this also
      Do you have credit unions
      I don’t have a bank account myself
      Although I don’t ever use the coin star thing
      It charges 12%
      So that’s like $12 out of every hundred dollars
      You pay for the convenience
      If you choose to take a gift card I don’t think there’s a charge

      @@steelisthemeal I belong to a credit union but they don't have a machine. I like saving change but it is such a hassle getting rid of large amounts of it I don't much anymore. Having said that though I save up a jar during the winter and use it for garage sales in the summer ! 😁😁😁 Most of the items at a garage sale are 5 bucks or less !

    Coinstar screwed you with their outrageous fee. Call around and find a bank or credit union that charges a cheaper processing fee. Coinstar should be against the law.

      @@steelisthemeal True, Coinstar is providing a service. They count your change and convert it into something spendable. On a side note casino's have a machine as well for change but we really don't want to go there.

    I was thinking $300. I was a bit short. But next time, look through your pennies before you put them through. Pull any wheat backs out and look at the year on them. Anything before 1982 the pennies were made of copper. After that they are made of copper plated zinc. The real copper pennies are worth more than the zinc ones. I save mine. Some day I'll try to sell them. Maybe.

    I said $285, didn't think it was that much. I used to save my change and put a dollar or two in a big jar for 3 or 4 months. Would always end up with about 5 bills. Then I'd take a honey to the cusinos. Never had at luck either way, but had a lot of fun. Then I was bad for the next 4 months. Then did it again. Oh we'll!

    HI Bert great video great loose change score how much was the fee coin star charged you . T.D. bank use to have coin sorting machines in there bank lobby branches they got in to trouble not paying out the correct amount the today show on N.B.C. did a story about and T..D. bank and they stopped customers from using them and issued correct refunds to the customers that used them customers with Accounts had free use non customers had to pay a extra fee . history channel did behind the scenes about coin star operations it was very cool try and check it out

      @@ScrapFarm not a big enough piggy bank for that loose change was that a gun case you kept your loose change in ? we keep are loose change in the old glass water bottles we see them @ Columbus flea market and they are very very heavy when they filled up i need my very good friend with his strong young muscles to pick it up and go to the bank and i would buy him breakfast or lunch or dinner he works with me @ shop -rite very nice strong young guy. always helping out customers family friends strangers with moving very very heavy stuff he even goes scrapping and trash picking with me on are days off . we keep are silver in 1 bottle and pennies in the other bottle and deposit all of are loose change in to are Children savings accounts for there future and how they want to spend it very wisely and then we take are loose foreign change to people that still buy it and we find it all of the time from are trash picking and clean outs .

    My credit union takes loose change in their machine for free but if you bring in rolled coins, you have to put your name on each one...some dickhead got caught bringing in electrical box slugs/punch-outs in quarter rolls and got them for big $$$$
