Look at the prices as a percentage of the average American salary. Converting them straight to rupees would make them seem very expensive. An average American salary after taxes per month would be $3k and the average middle class (yes, I said middle class that can afford to come to the US) Indian salary would be 30k rupees per month. So a conversion factor of 30k/3k = 10 should be more accurate. By that measure, a toothpaste worth $3 in the US feels like you're spending 30 rupees while making an average salary of 30k per month in India. If you look at it this way, most of the prices of consumer goods in America are actually way cheaper than in India.
S D yeah most of them are tax less
50% of the US don't make $30k USD a year, so no its expensive for most people poor or on minimum wage. An hours worth of work can get you a tomato, a head of lettuce and a onion. The US most people who are not wealthy need multiple jobs to live.....
Exactly I dont know why indians keep comparing food price with INR in many videos...it shows how much lack of Common Sense this Indians have...are they earning in INR in USA ? No...then why the hell they convert price per item in INR...foolish thing...
Right! Very true.
I think he is a student and most people watching these videos are also students. Hence obviously they will and need to convert to rupees before splurging...stop comparing salaried people with everyone
US cheaper than India? My God!
Your video is supposed to go viral in India..
Iâm a purdue student and this popped up in my recommended! Itâs cool to see things from another studentâs perspective.
parle-g in USA !!!!God Bless America!!!

Not in Pennsylvania either; I am a Texas ex-pat.
Eggs are cheaper in US than india

No need of it.Sala India me to logo ko Chutiya bana raha he à€à€° à€à€čà€Ÿà€ à€à€čà€Ÿà€ chutiya à€Źà€šà€Ÿà€à€à€Ÿ?
Reliance Jio Patanjali has good products. Stop being a political moron and appreciate something which may actually be good.
We get patanjali products in the Indian stores in US.
Amulya Sri most of the patanjali products are bad tho
They have very strict cosmetics regulations. So patanjali will be banned there. All sane countries require to list every ingredient in a product. Patanjali/ himalaya list only 10% of their contents and call themselves 100% natural and fool consumers. Plus consumers in US are not ignorant as Indians
Some products are pretty cheap than in India đš
+Bhavya Talwar hahaha yeah true
Gd
Knowledge Bank see clearly it's 641 ...
I don't think anything was cheaper than india. Apart from coke
I couldnât disagree. Milk or eggs are pretty cheap.
Egg is also cheaper
Hey..go to Aldi for grocery if you have that around. Walmart has huge stock of different products and you will always end up with unnecessary shopping. But Aldi is a good deal for students :)
Great job parth. To be honest I am surprised to find haldiram aloo bhoojia over theređ đ.
Your videos are really helpful. Keep making them. đ
For a moment I thought it's Indian Wal-Mart....đđđđđđđđđ đ
Nowadays all the American grocery shops carry some Indian products depending on the Indian population in that area. You can find them in international food section. It's pretty good.!!
Aditya Vaishampayan haldiram is an international product man. Where are you even living?
Me 2 surprise
@@sreelakshmi6307 Yeah, they have some common things and also things that Americans use, like naan, some curry mixes and some basic Indian spices. âșïž

The craziest part that I have never expected is the "ammunition" section in departmental store or AMERICAN supermarket. #WALMART
Do a thorough video on vegetables and fruits man!
I cant wait till I can visit an American supermarket thanks for the upload đ„đŻđđŒđđŒđđŒ
The sight of Parle-G filled me with pure happiness! God Bless America.
Look for Aldi stores. They are smaller, have fewer choices of the same product but are usually cheaper for most things.
Nice video! You made something as common as Walmart interesting for me to see through different eyes. There must be a large Indian community around Purdue because I've not seen a Walmart with that authentic of an Indian food section.
He's different from others.
He gives the insight of student life in abroad.
That's what best about him.

Apart from the ammunition shelf everything else is just like it is in India.
BRown bread and banana costs too much âč98 and âč54/kg...Expensive.In my city brown bread costs âč25 and banana costs âč25/12 pcs(depends upon season and variety).
your videos are good but i would like to suggest try to keep camera in stable position. do not move constantly. It affects video quality. video accha ho kar bhi camera hilnese video dekhte samay i feel headache.
+monali mhetre hey monali, thanks for the suggestion. Noted for next time :)
monali mhetre you spoke my mind...
Same here...I had to shut off the video halfway

@@msimrxn Great I'm happy for you! :)
Not expensive man
Almost same Price most of products
And here in Northeast India is more expensive then USA
raghu karthik
Yha i know bro
I was in Bangalore for 4 Months
Wal- Mart sells cheap quality food and products..
@raghu karthik don't convert the money you must look from their side the usa salary are do good so the prices are cheap to them ans if anyone of us will work their in usa it woulden't ne really exepensive
Please do more videos like this one
UK is the best in the western world for best food prices. No were else can compare
what was the point of the video?
US dollar is strong and americans earn in dollars so the conversion in rupee means nothing to them so the expensive tag is gone.
wallmart is not in India.
We earn in rupee and rupee is weaker so we feel products in america are expensive because they're priced in dollars.
what good did this american price to indian price conversion do?
Damn, I was surprised to hear you were in Indiana! I am as well in Indianapolis, though originally from here. Purdue is a good school: I hope you enjoy it for the rest of your time here! Indiana has too many cornfields and flat areas, but I recommend going to Southern Indiana (such as Brown County) for a more wilderness experience.
Egg,milk, Oreo big pack and cheese was cheaper than India and Americans earn in dollars. The minimum wage people earns 2.5 - 3k a month. No wonder why even people with low wages job have house and car. In India, an engineers salary will take more than 10 years for a house and car.
You the MVP sir!! Keep up the good work. We're all very grateful over here
Wow, never seen an aisle of Indian foodstuffs at a Wal-Mart before! Must be due to all the students from the Subcontinent in that area, eh? Over here (Washington, DC area) we have several Indian/Asian groceries so no need for Wal-Mart to stock it, I guess.
Exactly I am wondering.
I live in a country where people take 1500 to a maximum 2500$ tax free monthly but a 2L Pepsi cost 11$ 1k of sugar cost 14$
Can u make a video helping out students who aspire to do their undergraduate in the US as well?!
Sparsh Bohra paisa hai or jaldi logo se ghul mil sakta hai, or pehechan k caring log rehete hai toh he jana. Nahi toh gand mar jaegi akele.
Parth, this video will helpful for many viewer who are planning a trip or studies in USA.
A SMALL REQUEST,
plz let me know whether there is plus size clothes in Walmart because I'm a fat guy and will need to buy clothes there in us
I got admit for CSULA for spring 2018
Hey Shankar, I have a group on whatsapp, send me a message on facebook and I will add you to the group. you can easily buy big clothes at any store in US. don't worry about it.
Parth Vijayvergiya thank you soo much:)
Seriously, everything here is made larger, you will love it.
Can we apply for spring too?
Yo your videos are of good quality than any other international students video... Love your talk
Will u make part 2 ;)
I wanna know the value of protein shake.
vivek sharma about 10$ a six pack.
It's very expensive, even if a person earns 4k per month. Its very expensive for him to shop in Walmart. In India if you earn 1lakh per month. Aaaram se at 5k you will get loads and loads and left out Groceries per month.
I notice some things end up being quite cheap as compared to India, if you buy a larger amount. For eg 18 eggs for 82 Rs is VERY CHEAP in comparison!
Not bad especially, when per capita income and minimum wage is so much higher.
really appreciate the work parth.
i found that almost around double 0r 2 times value of money compared to INDIA in USA...dont compare in term of money try to compare in term of affortabality of consumer
like if i have 90 ruppes then in INDIA i could buy 1kg oil.....but that approxe in usa you may...will pay 180 rupees for 1kg oil.
PERCAPITA GDP in USA is around 60k USD.....and INDIA 7K USD ....big difference
Where is this Walmart located? We dont get Indian grocery at Walmart here in Nebraska.
sir plzzz make such type of shopping vlogs .we loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeddddd it. we love shopping and roaming vlogs.if u agree with then plzzz drop a reply so that we can know u will make. love u sir.
Milk eggs red label tea olive oil all these stuff are cheap
Before watching this vedio i was expecting the products would be costly. ..but after watching this i must say its quit affordable đ thank you
18 egg 82 rupees america, 15 egg 80 rupees India(west bengal,shantipur).
The purchasing power is almost as same as like how in India and I really enjoyed u r video đđ
Here In USA itâs much cheaper then Australia and Canada. For example you can buy nice pair of Nike puma shoes from $20 to 70 and branded clothes like banana republic American eagle true religion disel I have bought pants of these brands for $30 to 49
It is not that expensive. Vegetable and stuffs is cheap compared to India. Milk is cheap too. Just more than the prices in Mumbai
Nice video bro. Stay blessed
O my god milk is cheaper than IndiađI think before my nation is biggest milk producer
If we compare the price with India, the income in the US and India is totally different. We get paid hourly and it's weekly or Bi-Weekly but not in India. Else, ask the family to send all the things via Post except liquid stuff, very cheap instead! I am in Canada now I get most of the groceries from No Frills or Freshco.
PS: I would suggest you, buy tomato pastes instead of tomato itself! extended expiry, lol.
Those prices are Excluding Taxes. Be Aware
Stop Footage no taxes on grocery items.
Sush SGG USA is mostly tax free
Samar's Gadgets World tax free??!! Maybe in Alaska! In New York, they charge 8.875% sales tax on everything except groceries.
Sush SGG but he is not buying shoes or clothes lol
Samar's Gadgets World omg! Do u understand english?! The original comment was about taxes on groceries and I said that groceries are tax exempt in the U.S. The U.S imposes high taxes whether it be income tax, federal, property, sales tax, etc. The U.S only exempts basic groceries and food items from tax. It was u who said that the U.S. is mostly tax-free...and I didn't agree with that because we as consumers pay lots of taxes everytime 'except for groceries'. U messed up the whole idea..haha!
Thanks Ran for holding the camera and thanks vijay fir editing until 5:00 AM cherrs
Shop productes in USA online stores and #ShopUSA ship the packages from USA to India wiith lower shipping charges.
Video was so roller coaster. Feel like puking after watching. But information was good. Thanks
Price and selection depend upon the state and area that you are shopping in. The larger the city the more chance of having international groceries. If the community is not diverse then Walmart is all that you have. Thankfully, the area in which I live has had an influx of immigrants so I spend most of my time at the Indian, African, and Asian markets.
Really like the concept, great :)
you are doing a great help. thumbs up for you.
Again awesome one parth.. make more and more videos ..especially Vlogs.. đđ
From your biggest fan dude..đđâ
How much do you earn in indian rupees? It is baseless comparison. The true comparison is $1=âč10. For example you showed bread as 1.53$ means 15âč and we get wheat bread around 25âč. So basically its not at all costly
Eggs and coke is cheaper in the US than here in South Africa đ·.. cool video.. thank you đ
It's an eye opener. In US, people easily earn $2000+ and the cost of day-to-day items are just like India or in fact somewhat cheaper. Hence, they can afford a lot of things. (apart from medical etc.)
Harshajyoti Das that's because he is in Walmart. There are way better shops like whole foods, trader Joe's.
Basic needs items are not taxed, for eg food and clothes..but tax, housing, medical, school is very expensive in the usa
Quite half the price as compared to Sweden. You guys earn a lot too. I am jealous!
Wow.. I did not know prices of most items are same or cheaper in the US. 3 litres milk cost here approx 180 INR. đ Thanks for this video.
I live in canada and sugar is 5dollars and bread is 3.60. And up peanut butter is 6 dollars.
Please tell me . What are the ug degree jobs in USA
Hey Guys! Hey Parth Yijayvergiya! Greetings from me, Rilum Osmanaj. Peace âïž
nice video parth...Just awesome .
Great video, can you please make a video on what all things to carry to US, for students. Will be very helpful
sure man :)
Parth Vijayvergiya Do so now.
Skipped the main section! 10:25
+Vinay Shakyawar lol
There should be something like this in India.
I think other than rent, other living expenses are more or less same. Given that your lifestyle is simple and don't like to pay extra for things. Btw, are vegetable expensive over there?
Thanks Parth. Appreciate all the hardwork you put in.. keep going buddy..!!
very informative for students going to states
Thanks to make this video I am going tomorrow
Nice video Parth.. I was waiting for this video.. Good work Parth..
Hey parth, can u do this kind of tour for best buy too?
Parth good video dude you are great,God bless
what do u think, cosmetics are cheap or Food items r cheap??????
I never found any indian stuff in Wal-Mart. Where you at? I always go to Patel brothers or Lotte Plaza.
Hey I am vijayvergiya too.. you are doing a great job awesome work .

Very informative video keep up the good work
This is really helpful parth .... Thank u soo much đđđ
Yeahhh A good video, keep on making this kind of videosđđ
Please do a price comparison in reference to everage daily income. I think that will give a real picture of how expensive or cheap the basic necessities are....... Looking forward..
The most shocking thing was the bullets that you can buy at the store!!
how much is the minimum wage in usa . but the real not what says the low and the quality of the cheapest foods. For example the milk its not expensive but they say that put in cows a hormone to make more milk and is a big risk for alergy and disease . and the electricity is expensive?the internet telephony ?
Don't get fresh produce from Walmart. Go to whole foods or trader Joe's or even target.
wow bhaiyya very nice video !!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks alot love you
wr is dis wallmart ? i have never seen indi groceries in wallmart....
Awesome video as always.
Vry helpful,grt job:)
I didn't find it so expensive.. It is affordable!
Walmart is one of the cheapest and reasonable stores. You wouldn't believe how inexpensive it is. I feel it's cheaper than Indian store also. âșïž
Can I get wheat flour in walmart?
