It was the little girl who played Selena as a kid (Rebecca Lee Meza) who made the rest of the movie so good. She really done a good job. I hate that she didn't pursue acting further. She had such a huge future ahead of her.
i think it's because at some point she started receiving death threats after getting the role (which is horrible because she was just a little kid), but that most likely turned her away from pursuing her career.

I have this movie. I also have The special edition one deleted scenes that where not on the movie when it was released. But I never heard of selena until the movie. Since then I'm.a massive fan.
