A Muslim debates: The Role of Women & The Nature of Evil

  • A Muslim named "Keksi" joined our last stream, telling Mary she was violating the Bible by teaching men. After that discussion, we were informed that Islam is "logical" because Allah creates evil and the Christian God does not. Unfortunately, Keksi didn't have a microphone, so it was a text-only discussion on their end, but out minds were still blown by their attempts to defend their god.

@@keksi6844 it is true that, chronologically that it was Eve who sinned first before Adam. Eve was tempted, picked up the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil and ate. After that Eve gave the fruit to her husband Adam and he ate (see Genesis 3:1-4). And yet the bible places the blame on Adam as the one who is responsible for the fall of mankind
In Romans 5, Adam is held accountable with no mentioning of Eve:
"Sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people (see verse 12).
"Death reigned from the time of Adam...even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam (see verse 14)
"Many died by the trespass of one man (see verse 15)
"By the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man (see verse 17)
"Through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners (see verse 19)
This "one man" Paul refers to Adam, as Romans 5:14 makes clear. Scripture makes it clear that it was Adam and not Eve who sinned against God and brought division from God and death to all mankind. Adam tried to blame his wife Eve, indirectly (see Genesis 3:12) however Adam is the one credited with sin entering into the world.
There are actually several reasons why it is Adam who is to blame for the fall of humanity:
Adam was created first and his wife Eve was created to be a "suitable helper" (see Genesis 2:18). God held Adam responsible for his family as seen that God sought out Adam specifically (see Genesis 3:9). Also in his conversation with Adam and Eve, God questioned Adam first (see Genesis 3:9-13), even though Eve sinned before Adam. Adam as the leader was the one held responsible for what happened to his family.
Also God's original command to not eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil was given to Adam even before Eve was created (see Genesis 2:17). Eve knew of the restriction (see Genesis 3:2-3) - Adam obviously informed her but it was Adam who heard it first from God.
In 1 Timothy 2:14, Paul makes a distinction between the sin of Adam from the sin of Eve. Eve fell into sin because of a deception, however Adam was not deceived meaning he made a choice to sin. When Adam took the fruit from his wife Eve he knew full well what he was doing Adam was not mislead or misinformed he simply decided to rebel against God's command. Adam made a choice to listen to his wife instead of listening to God (see Genesis 3:17)
So although Eve was the first to sin, the solution to sin came through "her seed" (see Genesis 3:15). The seed, Jesus Christ was born of a virgin named Mary (see Matthew 1:18-25). He paid the price for sin and will redeem those who receive the salvation he offers (see John 3:16). Just as sin and death came through one man (Adam) it is also through one man Jesus Christ that grace and righteousness are given as free gifts to believing sinners. Through Adam we received a curse but through Jesus we received a blessing

Meanwhile, there are even Arab teachers who successfully compare Islam with the mafia. With English subtitles I can follow that..... for me that is no longer very important WHERE now WHICH lie stands!
What is important for me is to help people in their everyday lives, who for example have great fears of life. And if you look around the world, this is not unfounded.
I do not go to any official church, for me they have all failed in the C-crisis, these are wellness Christians....
Well, yesterday I was talking to an Turkish amazon employee and he couldn't get enough of it. I said: look, you can talk to "Isa ben Hazerethlere" (and I must have pronounced it wrong...he was amused) HE is the great worry bearer, he walks by your side...You can be his friend, he is there.
