I’d love to speak to that one armed officer. As someone with a disability no matter what job you choose to do it’s awesome to know that having a limitation doesn’t limit you to what you want to do
There is a limit though. Law enforcement is a demanding job, some things just cannot be "accepted" even if it is a disability. I have a disability that will prevent me from joining a law enforcement agency, which is something I always wanted to do. But I understand that because of the nature of the job, not everyone who has a disability can do that kind of work. But kudos to the officer with one arm, really inspiring.

A police officer with one arm, that's incredible! Props for those around him that gave him a chance to his job despite only having one arm, sadly most cases with people having disabilities like this they are flat out denied a position like that due to their disability when it comes to law enforcement or the military, in many cases its not even limbs, just having slightly lesser hearing or sight in one ear or eye might be enough for them to flat out reject you to even try out.

Looking at the one-armed police officer, I was confused at first why their taser was still holstered on their left side (of which no hand to wield it), but then I realized that it's reverse holstered, so they're able to effectively grab it with their right hand if need be. That's very smart and allows the policeman to perform their duty effectively regardless of impairment. I believe a lot of the police officers wear them that way, because that’s how they’re sure they’re pulling out their taser, not their firearm.
But I understand that because of the nature of the job, not everyone who has a disability can do that kind of work. But kudos to the officer with one arm, really inspiring.

Nah bro i hate how guys like this good man destroys every excuse i can make in order to say "im not good enough" or "it is what it is"
Looking at the one-armed police officer, I was confused at first why their taser was still holstered on their left side (of which no hand to wield it), but then I realized that it's reverse holstered, so they're able to effectively grab it with their right hand if need be. That's very smart and allows the policeman to perform their duty effectively regardless of impairment.
Massive respect to all involved, both officers who ran in that strong heat after a suspect, the security guy who assisted the fatigued officer with a ride, and the one-armed man who succeeded in catching and subduing the suspect. All of these awesome and deserve all the praise and respect they're given.
I believe a lot of the police officers wear them that way, because that’s how they’re sure they’re pulling out their taser, not their firearm. Mistakes have happened before, and making someone reach across their body breaks the instinct of reaching for their gun. Tons of respect for the officer, working hard with what he’s got.
