Exhausting 🤣🤣🤣🤣 but I agree, I wouldn't want to sit in someone's foot jam when i take a bath 🤣
Makes sense until you realize they all share the same water. 💀
@@andrewtol8756 they do clean themselves before entering the bath but still I personally won't share anyone's water lol
洗ってあげるの偉い!!
我が家では、毎日掃除当番を決めて交代で掃除していました笑
I was always taught to clean the bath when you get out so that it is ready for the next person to use. Are they saying that they leave it dirty until the next time or that they do both? Both seems excessive.
As an Another Asian from another country, I'd fail in Japan
@@selenachan4230 Korean ? xD
They do both, dust and hair can get into the bath between uses.
I really enjoy your “snapshots of ordinary Japanese life. They are a window on Japanese culture from a different aspect. And the producer, director, and narrator comes through the screen as a REALY nice guy. I have especially enjoyed watching his son grow from an infant to a 2 year old.
I clean mine down after its been used and then once a week deep clean. Honestly never thought of washing it before i get in.
めんどくさいのでシャワーだけです、笑
American here. I was raised to wash bath after each use/person. Is the problem with him not washing after he showers knowing others will come behind them? If so, then I totally agree with her. Lol
I think it depends on each families. I'm Canadian... I don't remember my parents washing the bath before I take one. But we started taking showers only when we were old enough.
Exactly, no one is leaving the tub dirty after use. 😂
Good man!
We have Always washed the bathtub before bathing the kids or taking a bath myself 😅. Doesn't everyone?
No. 😅 We wash it, when it’s dirty. Or once a week. (To be fair, the tub itself is only used 2-3 times a week)
I always wash the bathtub before bathing the kids, but not before showers.
If it looks dirty, yes. But now my kid is older and everyone only take showers. If we want to take a bath, we was it..
This is simply a perception of cleanliness. Humans in general have so many of these superstitions in their lives. My wife covers all of our in-use cups with lids because she doesn't want to "drink" dust... I keep telling her she is breathing it in all day!
I thought it was normal to clean the bath before taking one 😂
Yeah but rinse it. Don't use chemicals on a bath you about to use.
I cant stand how people waste water like this. It is not about money, it is the waste of resources. Water is NOT free, but people are treating it as it is free.
Define “waste”. If it’s being used it’s not waste. You don’t own water as a resource and can’t dictate how other people use it. Do you play sports and take a shower after? Then you are wasting water. Don’t play sports so you don’t get sweaty.
@@JnoPrds my profession happens to be environmental engineering. I worked at wastewater plants and water treatment pants for years. I do not need to argue with you because your opinion doesn't mean much to me or the environment. You can educate yourself a little bit about wastewater and water treatment on CZcams, the next generation will appreciate your effort.
I live with 5 people and we haven’t clean the bath in years
Bath life is the best 😭 in America I hardly take baths because I just feel gross but in Japan I know the bathtub is squeaky clean 🫶🏻
I do this too. Especially a bath with jetstream nozzles. Rinsing every day the system with water and once a week with st. Marc cleaner.
Solution = remove the tub
Impossible. Japanese houses always come with a bathtub.
That's like getting rid of the rice. Not happening.
nah, standing shower room still requires cleaning frequently
Mmm yeah the bath cleaning. Not only Japanese, I'm from Texas, and to tell you the amount of times as a kid i got reprimanded for not cleaning out the tub after a bath. It's here too. Lol now as an adult i know better.
When I was an exchange student in Japan, the most shocking thing I saw was that they shared the bath water with family. From elder to young, go into the tub and warm up their body and NOT drain out the water, but leave it as it is for the next family member.
They say they take a quick shower before going into the tub, but I still see the dead skin and pubic hairs floating on tubs, so I managed to take a shower until the end of my stay.
I do respect their culture, but that one thing I just couldn't adopt.
The problem is that while taking a bath you are already swimming in a pool of the bacteria from your own body. A clean bathing experience requires that you shower both before and after you have been stewing in bathwater.
I deep clean before bathing then shower and give it an additional scrub while I shower 😊
But then they share the bath water with the whole family?😳 That seems even more unhygienic than „only“ washing the tub every 3-4 days. Especially, if you already showered before entering the tub.
We Japanese take a shower outside the bathtub first and take a bath. Paulo probably never goes inside the bathtub himself.
We also use the water for laundry afterwards. Almost all washing machines are equipped with an electric hose that sucks water into it so we don’t waste water.
@@phoebs7801 totally makes sense to use the water again! 😊 But why is this considered more hygienic than sitting in a tub that has been used by an already fully cleaned person to sit in? My German brain just doesn‘t get it. 😥
@@stefaniehase2448 i actually find it disgusting to use the bathwater for washing the clothes, i bath in HOT water, so i sweat when taking a bath, and then i use this sweat wwater for my clothes? hell no!
@@bobobaba-fr6hj so no public baths in Japan for you, I guess?😅
@@stefaniehase2448 why? do i wash my clothes in public bathes?
And thats why the Japanese use ~3 times the water an average German would use.
I wash bath before I wash in bath, then wash it again when I am finished.
Everyday..? That's expensive..
Cost a couple cents at most.
hate? strong words
Calm down
I think I’ve washed a tub maybe 5 times in my life
Doctor's call that OCD
Yep 😂
Thanks!
Welcome! Thank you.
Absolutely not, any Brit would say this is crazy. Do people take cleaning stuff on holiday everywhere with them as well? 😂
I don't have a Japanese wife
I don't have a bath tub
I don't have a shower
Damn
I don't have a life
Cleaning the bath before using it is like wiping before you shit. Cleaning it afterwards serves the same purpose.
Im completely opposite. I rather shower then use bathtub. Because in my mind the bacteria and germs are swimming along side me. If you shower the bacteria and germ are now gone in your body and straight to the sink.
Honestly never even thought of doing that. But also don't take baths I take showers. Baths feel like you're sitting in water filled with your own dead skin, dirt, sweat and filth.😭😂😭😂
Our home is very clean but I think there is a line between cleanliness and madness. We need bacteria as humans and if we don’t come into contact with any we get sick….a lot! I agree if someone has showered in the bath wash it out but there is no need to wash and wash and wash the bath each time it’s used. I give my bathrooms a very good clean once a week. We mostly shower in stand alone showers.
I dont agree, if you wash spon, fork, knife after eating?? Tis is same thing.
didn't do bath for over 35 years, i learn to grow up and use my time another way
I'm f'd 😂
Does it mean, they don't go to swimming pool?
Damn if this is all it takes hello Japanese housewives here I come
This makes sense to me from a cultural standpoint but probably wouldn't have come up until conflict was brewing. Thanks for the heads up!
I’m pretty sure wanting a clean bath isn’t Japanese it’s just called hygiene lol
But you guys dont change water in bath for entire family
But the water from the previous bath washes the bath 😅
Nah, I am not cleaning the bath
Because I don't have one
A husband!!!! You gotta do things out of love a respect! Not just convenience or self righteousness
But fermented sticky beans are normal
Then why do you all love bathhouses in Japan? Ain’t no way they’re cleaning it enough.
I think is weird that they want to clean the ofuro, but at the same time mostly of them bath, cover the ofuro, get back home and reheat the same water and bath again. The same goes with all family members bathing in the same water for relax. But they forget about death skin, herpes, bacteria, vag flora, intestinal flora and things like that.
うわー普通なら奥さんがお風呂を洗ってくれるんだと思いますが。で旦那様(パオロ)の仕事のお帰り全部準備して楽するようにyou need to talk to her about that.
Yo no soy japonesa pero no me baño en una tina sucia 🤮
Will they go into a public pool or waterpark? Do they wash the refrigerator before putting food inside? Seems very silly to me and exposes them to harmful cleaning chemicals.
Does no one here understand how soap works or something
Bacteria, os you just wash yourself with water. You know there's soap involved.
Cleaning the bathroom is my least favourite chore
Why doesn't she wash it herself 😂
It’s a courtesy thing. Like how you would clean any other object, like a pan or cooking utensil before someone else used it.
You're a king. There's so many things in Japan that are just expected that everyone knows. And nobody is gonna tell you, they will just act upset with no explanation. This series is definitely gonna save a lot of dudes butts
nah i’m not cleaning it lol.
BS they dont
i was live in pakistan and i also wash my bathroom everyday too.
Correction mate. Don’t every Gaijin is white.
In Arabia, the Middle East, in Islam, we pray 5 times a day so we are always washing and our hygiene is hyper.
Makes sense. Most in Japan take baths and I get the thinking ehile stting in the tub, dirt and stuff get on the walls of the tub and you are in the tub vs just your feet. I don't know if it's proven the shower water washes the crap down the drsin as you shower, or it's just simply feet vs whole body argument. Add if they take several baths a week.
It is gross all the scum from the last bath is stuck to the bath, always wash bath after i had one uk here
American here. I was taught that you dont leave the bathroom without cleaning the tub after bathing. Anything thing else was considered nasty in my family.
I was taught to clean the bath tub after using it.
sometimes bacteria can strengthen your immune system.
That’s grounds for a divorce. Absolute insanity.
What a waste of drinkable water and chemicals
Why would the person that doesn’t care about arbitrary bacteria need to clean the bath when it should be the germaphobe who cleans the bath?
Waste of water
Not only Japanese value cleanliness. Bath included.
Sharing the load? You wash it, they use it? Neat trick lol
What a stupid thing to say
Huh?
Bro pls stop yapping 😂

@@nesha2333 agree to desagree. I have seen better, right here on this channel.
Who are you to tell someone what they should or shounst do when it still doing numbers?
I like em
Washing it before they use it? WTF they don’t have hands to handle it themselves?? WTF, fvck that!!😂😂
You clean the bath after not before you 🤡
Literally the same, after the bath is before the next bath and before the bath is also after the last bath. If you clean it right before you can clean yourself instead of working up a sweat after, so actually makes sense in this close order.
Tag @neojapan
But is ok to share bathwater with the whole family for a week on said bathtub???? 🥲😆😆
