Another fabulous video Patrick. I was camped just down the valley around Jaggers Clough myself two weeks ago. I'll be happy when my videos are as entertaining as yours and I'd love to have the same knowledge of the local area. some of your photos are stunning. Keep up the great work.

Hi Paul and thanks for comments I suppose the more videos you do the better we all get, been into photography since was a boy photographing wildlife etc on basic manual camera so made you learn about how camera works. The bit that causes me problems is the computer side of it due to my age probably, but learning all the time thanks again Pat

Hi there.....I enjoy your wee videos and glimpses of the lovely English countryside... I am from Stockton on Tees in County Durham, but have lived in the USA for many years..
Presently based in Southern California where it’s a desert...so it’s grand to see all the nice greenery......reminds me of my days as a young lad, going rambling through the woods and in the summer meadows with my wee dog...
Really enjoyed the pub crawl vid as well.. (might try making one myself)...
    Thanks a lot sir..
    Cheers

Hi Patrick just did this the opposite way around on Wednesday. Went up Crowden clough scrambled near the waterfalls. I camped up past Seal edge. The weather was great and not too hot. I came down Ringing Rodger. This is my 6th wild camp this year and I have been impressed by your routes and even inspired to do this at 52. Well into the camping now thanks and atb Dave.

Wonderful, did Kinder last week. 3days up the mountain carrying 3 days rations. I'm used to flat east anglia so a bit of a shock and bloody hard work but oh so worth it. Going from mermaids pool upto the downfall was the heaviest going. Much steeper than anticipated!

Nice one pat. Great to see familiar landscapes. I've camped at crowden tower (wet) and walked from edale to grindslow knoll. I think we walked up to ringing Rodger on our camp too. Do I know how steep it is. Your right about getting familiar with landmarks. Very useful good tip there. I too prefer the autumn winter camps for the same reasons. I'm off up to Scotland next week. Midge and rain hell. Gotta love this wildcamping. Lol. Thanks for taking us along . look forward to more adventures from you. Atb Andy.

Hi Andy must be my favorite place in the Peak District as so wild, although in summer you can be saying hello, hello, hello to dozens of people up there. Winters great as you get the place to yourself and I sometimes wonder were every body has gone, not complaining though. Once the initial climb is out the way the walking round the edge is easy, stray off the path and venture into the central area and and its another world, I ,ve got disorientated many a time. Enjoy your trip to Scotland, may the sun beat down on you, all the best Pat

Having just been on my first wild camp - which was up Crookstone knoll - I've definitely got the bug to be up there again soon. Nothing like waking up to such a morning. I hope to put my video together soon of my own camp adventure. I have to work out the water situation too as so heavy to carry up so thanks for the sawyer filter heads up. Great video and very interesting history. I was with the Canadian Airforce in Germany 1978 to 1993 after Desert Storm. Now the Canadian F86 was built or modified in Canada also had 4 20m/m cannon instead of the 6 50 Caliber machineguns. Also these were probably from the Canadian Airforce Base's in France since De gaul kicked Nato out of France in Early 1960's.I believe Canada had a large amount of F86's in Europe probably 50 or more. PS,US F86 needed big seviceing about every 6 weeks many Stateside. There is a good book written by a Canadian F86 vet, called Into the Wild Blue .Great read and you will get a view into the many pranks which went on in Nato between ourselves. Enjoy the Read.PS. Spec wise the Canadian version did better for the pilots flying in them. Yhey were not sea versions

But it is Ok to camp all year round, winter bring solitude, a bit more of a challenge but worth it for the feeling of adventure. Hi Terry, just had a quick look back at that point I was using my Sony mobile phone on a selfie stick, the phone takes good video and photos and being light easy to hold at arms length on selfie stick, the problem with the mobile is that if its windy its not worth using for video because on wind noise and after a meter the audio drops off. Most of the time it is windy so I use my Sony DSLR with microphone and sock which gives great video and audio but is so heavy especially on selfie stick. I,am still working on different methods, good video and sound means carrying such a lot of heavy gear and I,am supposed to be lightweight camping, hope useful all the best Pat
