Great video. This video and your 'parts to keep on hand /troubleshooting ' video are both really good. I think this is one of your most informative weeks so far. I know all of the information you put out but sometimes it's really good to just hear it again and reinforce it, regardless of how much experience anyone has. So thank you for that man
SteveCleans thanks for the support bro!
Just wanted to thank you guys for all the great videos and information!
Your welcome!
That is exactly where I'm at with the pump too. Just learned where and to adjust it. Thank you! Also, the blend system ordered is working great! Just washed a large slate roof this week!
Great advice, thank you for doing such a great quick video and not treating us like we are a bunch of idiots who need 10 safety lessons before we can pick up the Allen wrench.
Yep!
Awesome info in 3 minutes. Just what I needed to know but never knew I should know. Much appreciated from Lismore NSW Australia
Great video man!! My pump started doing that a couple days ago. Thought it was because I was getting air in my lines. Now I know. Thanks for the tip!!
I like your sound effects. Great video. It's a keeper!
Thank you!! Mine would come on and off while spraying. About 2 second intervals. I didn't think that was right lol. I greatly appreciate your video!
great vid broski! Always got the good info, you and A A ron are "the" dudes man! Wash the world!
Thanks man!
Nice info. I'm limited on the space in the back of my truck and not having to have an accumulator gives me more space to work with. Thanks!
Super helpful, I had this problem recently....it was weird because it seemed to act up with the soap valve open full but not when it was off....could the viscosity of the water change how the pump reacts?
Thanks, just saved me from buying a new pump. You’ve got a new customer
Thanks for the tip. I'm getting ready to buy a pump and it would be a shock if that happened!
Thank you for this!
Now I find this video..... sheesh. Thanks again Coty!
Pretty sure I messed up my brand new pump today because I didn't know about this.
Dude. You’re a FREAKING GENUIS
Thank you for doing this video, I ruined my first pump because my adjustment must have been over tightened from the factory, building too much pressure and leaking out the sides. I thought I wired it up wrong.
Bro a beast 💪🏾
I adjusted the shut off on my 7 gpm pump, and it really improved the volume and distance I get. With 1/2" chem hose it sprays better than a water hose. I was really impressed.
I have Water hose it won't stop spitting air will 1/2 inch hose help this thanks
Is 1/2inch hose good for 7 GPM pump I was told it can damage pump or blow fuse please let me know
@@ezlimo9454 Mine has been going strong for more than 2 years.
Only thing I've had to do is replace the solenoid on the pump after 2 years. After replacing the solenoid the pump runs like a new one.
The solenoid is the one part that's prone to failure. You'll know it's going bad if the pump runs for few seconds and quits, or sometimes runs when you squeeze the nozzle and sometimes doesn't as if there's a short in the connection.
Good info Cody. I don't run a accumulator , no need. I run the North Star 7GPM 12 volt, very good pump.
Where can I buy a pump like yours from
Thank you!
What spray nozzle are you running on this wand? The green one? Curious. I looked on your site but did not see it. I use a standard Jrod now but i wanted to try some other tips/nozzles and see how they perform. Thanks video.
good breakdown! thanks. I'll start w regular
great video
Hello Cody, if you don't mind me asking how do i make my softwash wand cut my pump off like in the video?
Thank you for the information
I was told never to face the pump up the way that you have it either flat or facing down. What’s your thoughts? I also have a shurflow 60 PSI 4 GPM pump is that adjustable also?
Just ran across this video and need to adjust my pump. I was thinking of going to a 24v system. Does that pump adjust the same also??
Cool video man. I got a question that you might know the answer to. So basically, If I made a wand like you have there, but instead of like a 1ft of Schedule 80 tubing, Do you think if I made it 10ft long it would still work? I'm thinking (and I have no idea if it'll work) if I made the extended tubing it would help me reach area's in which I couldn't reach with just the stream and it would help me not get a ladder out. What are your thoughts on that. Thanks
I have never used the accumulator as I feel it slows the distance output. A buddy of mine decided to take his accumulator off from his 7 gpm fat boy pump and has had better results ever since taking it off.
About to do the same
Are you supposed to put a typical pressure washer filter? Like those sea through ones with the plastic. Between a twelve volt pump
Yep me too, I have taken off my accumulator as I found it not helping at all. But has anyone experimented with larger accumulators, like 2 gallons?
Hey Coty quick question so I’m batch mixing with my 12v I have 200’ of 5/8” flexzilla I just purchased your 12v shooter tip I wasn’t getting the distance I thought. I have 3/4” suction hose with a drop stick to 3/4” inlet to the hose reel, is that 3/4” to big to then drop down to the 5/8” flexzilla maybe try 1/2” suction? I’m getting 30’ thought I would have gotten a little more.
This is good to know. If they have more PSI will it shoot further? I am currently in the market but want a little more distance. The 5.5gpm ever flow is still 60 psi. If so do you have a recommendation to a higher psi 12v bleach pump.
How do I go about making that wand? What are the parts?
Have you had the issue of the pump not turning off after releasing the handle/turning off the wand? I have adjusted the screw both ways and it hasn’t changed.
Would this work to feed into a 2.0 pressure washer from a 26 Gallon tank?
Cody, what size hose are you using for this setup?
Excellent information brother! I never knew there was an adjustment screw on the pump. I run the north star 5.5 gpm and thought I had to adjust the nozzle when they would bog.
I can’t find which screw to adjust. In the middle
Guessing it’s ok to go from a 7gpm 100psi to a 5.5gpm 60psi. Just because it’s a lot cheaper but am I giving up anything by doing so. Thank you
What hose is that? I was looking at 1/2 compressor hose. Not sure if it's half inch id or ot.
what kind of hose is that? normal garden hose or special poly braided hose
Good video, off subject do you have your sh,soap, water plumbed to draw from the top of the tanks our the bottom through a ballvalve?
Scott Ruch on this truck we went in from the top
Are most 12 V pumps adjustable as you’re doing?
Does it matter what Orientation the pump is mounted?
How do you guys get such a good distance on that?
What brand & model pump are you using?
What happens when it's just spinning but not building pressure?
Hey man, I know you said they don’t run hot, but what could the reason be if they are getting pretty hot to the touch
I can't get mine to shut off. Have to disconnect the power I adjusted the screw didn't change anything so I have to turn the power off and on instead.
Omg thank you man! I thought I got two bad pumps😭😂
Would a 7gpm Delevan shoot further than 5 gpm? Logic tells me yes, but anyone know by how much?
Kody, I just got out of the hospital so I’m trying to make things easier on myself as far as finding correct tools etc. What size Allen wrench for the pump screw? I had to replace my pump on site the day before I went into the hospital and haven’t adjusted it.
It’s a 2mm man
Hope you feeling better brother!
@@southeastsoftwash4020 thank you brother. Extreme heat exhaustion and dehydration caused by four meds that should have never been prescribed together. Doing much better now that three of the meds have been dropped and one reduced.
Hi Cody, I’m using the 2.2gpm pump which has 3/8 inlet and outlet. Do you think the pump would work efficiently if there was three 1/4 hoses going to one 3/8 hose then into the inlet?
Wazim yeah, that should work. But honestly you’d be much happier just upgrading pumps.
150$ for a 5.5gpm ever flow
Southeast Softwash Thanks Cody, I I’m in another country and the houses here are small and close together. Most items on Amazon don’t ship to this country so getting correct parts can be a round around. Decided to go 1/2 inch all around so I can upgrade the pump later. Thanks for your help
What brand and psi is your pump
What tip is that?
What nozzle is that
Can i get the name of that pump plz i need one
Great info Cody. Thanks! Need some assistance from you if possible. These pumps are all supposed to be self-priming up to so many feet. Usually about 12-14. I’m having trouble getting mine to prime and/or to stay primed. Any suggestions? There dont appear to be any flow restrictions, it’s air-tight and I’m not using an accumulator. Frustrated! Thanks for your help.
Michael Stine video coming out today on this topic
Where can I find this video?
What is the max range in height that setup can reach? Thank you
Chris Adams 35-40’
What pump is that?
What process would you recommend for winterizing these pumps
Steven Mendez just run some antifreeze through them.
Southeast Softwash thank you
Coty what do you do if the pump gets hot ? Is as easy as just giving it time to cool off by turning it off or other methods
Old school trick, play a 1 gallon bag of cool water on top of the home. It will act as a heat sink, and draw out heat from the motor
Are you house washing with 12v or just doing roofs.?
Percell Scott both
Where can I get one of those wands from that you have on your setup?
Lagregory Morgan southeastsoftwash.com/product/softwash-wands/
Thank you sir!
Thanks
Do u guys sell just the proportioner
Metro Area Construction southeastsoftwash.com/shop/
How can I purchase one of those wands from ya
Just make one I spent $14 for the soap tip and like $10 on the fittings from lowes
Great info! What pumps are you using? The Everflo or Devalan?
Rey's Exterior Home Services - REHS everflo
@@southeastsoftwash4020 Okay great! Do you include anything else with your manifold proportioner? I'd like to purchase one from you.

Hi can you use Bleach tru that pump ? Thanks
Yes
@@southeastsoftwash4020 thank you for getting back to me im thinking of getting into softwashiingand im trying to learn as much as i can 👍👍👍 super video
Hey man quick question my 5.5 pump the fuse keeps blowing its there any particular reason you can think of it would be very appreciated
Same with me, my #7 fuse kept popping, but I replaced it with a 10 and no issues with it.
Now my pumps are getting super hot I have to constantly shut down and cool it off
Wow great tip I never knew this the pump I bought from northern does this I thought it was just because it was a northern pump because my fatboy pumps never did that great job!!!!
👍👍😎😎
I am struggling to find a nozzle for my 12 volt system,I notice the quick adjustable one you use, blue one !
Could you let me know the name ,type, product #,I need to find one.
Thanks!!
Check out the M5 twist. It’s adjustable for fan or jet stream. No more switching nozzles.
Commenting for algorithm.
2mm Allen key is too big.
No it aint
Thank you for this!!!
