Ohhhh I adored watching everything about this!!! The beautiful, super smart, focused, happy & utterly efficient doggies, PLUS how much the players loved it! I adore that they played & loved on those little babies afterwards & that they were given their treats! All dogs need loving & reward, no matter how professional 😍😭

I’m imagining the commentary between Chrissy Everett and John McEnroe at Wimbledon. And how dog saliva on the balls effects the physics as it strikes the grass versus standard paved courts. Then they heatedly discuss the banning of the use of ball-dogs at the French Open due to the clay courts turning the sticky wet balls into dirt clods not to mention the dogs having to constantly wash their mouths which just exacerbate the wet ball problem...

@@andrewlambert7464 Lol, true but consider the earliest days of the sport and how accumulated grass, mud and wet would have naturally occured and skewed the play. Ball-dogs could be seen as returning to the sport's roots. Not that I'm advocating it just playing the logic out.✌🤣
Chris Everett didn't have to play anyone ellse we did eighteen consecutive matches with contenders and won the majority of the games under different assumed names here in blue. It was all filmed

They need to make this a new K9 sport but with dog owners!!! I absolutely love this concept!!!! Definitely more entertaining than regular tennis. But even the athletes enjoyed this.

sound like it could be true because you know what is true, back then rich people bred dogs as a hobby to see who can come up with new cool looking dogs. fucked up part about when they found a look of a dog they like they interbred the dogs to keep those traits going eventually becoming a breed. so basically all dogs of certain breeds are related.

In fairness the video is poorly shot. Too many close shots with few wide or framing shots. Often felt like the dogs were staged and not actually picking up balls on proper cue. So either it's fake or, even worse, so poorly shot it looked fake. Needed angles where, from wide, Venus would miss a shot and then the dogs did their thing. Also never showed where the balls go after they pick them up.
This would definitely improve on viewership and ratings.

Very sweet. My first dog was a Cocker Spaniel named "Buddy". He loved to play ball in our back yard. He would bring you his tennis ball and the game was on.

Haha, I mean you’re really not wrong. Dogs and us were chilling together when we’re both still hunter gatherers, chasing after the same game. (Where and when this happened is up to debate, apparently there might’ve been two separate domestications one in Europe and one in asia) When we settled down, they settled down with us. Livestock animals like pigs, sheep, cows were all domesticated later by some thousands of years. If not for dogs, we wouldn’t have had the luxury to make permanent homes, and we wouldn’t have thought about domesticating other species.
