Great vid. But living comfortably in NYC on 2,500-3,500/mth is still hard, even in outer boroughs. Unless you live with roommates (still hard to find rent under $1000) , live in bad neighborhood, or have long ass commute-you will compromise dearly in some area. And cannot eat out hardly ever. That’s not very comfortable. But you can survive.
I’d say eating out once a week is plenty enough personally, and if you’re married or have roommates $1200 for rent is pretty easy to find
@@thomasstefaniuk I guess everybody’s comfort is not the same. When you add groceries, utilities, transport, living necessities, savings, emergencies, and other life things, you will live a pretty tight existence of trying to not spend a cent otherwise. That is NOT comfortable to me. I guess the Park will be your friend for entertainment.

It’s not what it was before covid, but nowhere is
It's true about people leaving, especially conservatives/Republicans. No doubt gone to Republican ran states where they know them and their property/businesses will be safe from the burn loot murder crowd. It's just like people in California leaving in the tens of thousands to go texas or Florida for the same reasons. Must be sad for them to go, but you don't wanna see the place you love getting run into the ground. I can sympathise with that, and the downfall for places like new York and California is that the money goes with the rich. No investment and no taxes will hit the coffers hard. Real shame because I love New York, but I couldn't give a crap about commiefornia.

newyork expenses are so expensive u have to sacrifice the space of ur apt ambience location based on ur salary u just get to experience the nyc life but u wont be able to save much unless ur u literally successful income wise

New York is so beautiful for a modern city. I live in Nottingham England which is equally as beautiful but very very old, and the difference is obviously night and day between the two. But I can appreciate the history of any city. Hopefully I'll get to new York one day soon. Great vid tom! Educational and inspiring. 🙏🏻👊

If you love the smell of hot shit in the summer the borough of Manhattan is for you. I’ve grown up in Ny my whole life (30 years). I live in Astoria queens 15 minutes outside city. I guess it all depends on what you want but I could never live in Manhattan especially since I’m there everyday for work. Anyone who hasn’t grown up in or near Manhattan thinks it’s the best place to live 😂.
