Great video! Spectacular view of GOD'S CREATION. Our GOD is an AWESOME GOD.
Your “accents” are what makes your videos great!
What a beautiful place God created!
Thank you!
Great to see y'all. Love your videos.❤🙏👍Devil is INDEED the father of Lies. But I know y'all are victorious in Jesus.👍🙏💕 Kentucky is a lovely state.
Amen....❤❤
You two have so much fun and devil jump is a very beautiful area great video love it and thank you Shane and Melody for sharing this video with us ❤️👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Beautiful scenery!
Melody is so polite and pretty. Both of y’all are lucky to have each other. Thanks for ANOTHER great video guys! I also seen Shane kindly move your hand out of in front of the camera when you were speaking in the car 😂😂 . He was so gentle.🙏
Thank you so much!! We’re grateful to be able to have these adventures with one another and all of you! - Melody
Just beautiful!! Reminds me of some overlooks we had in the PA. Appalachian
Mountains. Your videos, showing all aspects of Appalachia, have taught me
so much !! They are so very well done..thank you from Philadelphia.
You're in my kinda country now. Love it!
Makes me think of the saying I grew up hearing "The Devil in Tar Nation" (Tri Cities ,Tn )
Thank you both for another fun and informative video. Melody you look lovely as always your face looks slimmer here, always beautiful.
Would be breathtaking in the Fall 🍁🍂🎃
Oh absolutely. We’ll want to go back! - Melody
Was that "Fall" pun intended? If so -- "breathtaking" would be the word for it. 😀
@@kesmarn Oh! Good catch 😆 no pun intended
@@samanthab1923 LOL! Just kidding, of course! 😀
That’s a great story!!
Kind of a similar view to Hawks Nest in West Virginia! I'll bet you guys are familiar with that
One of my most my Favorite places. I go at least once a year to hike and the kids love it too
Great job
I had kin who lived in Oil Springs Kentucky.....down the road from Paintsville.
Reminds me of Breaks Interstate Park, also very beautiful place.
Beautiful!
Awesome amazing view, and cool story.
So beautiful. I can't believe I never heard of this place. Great video you two. You both just better and better.
We hadn’t heard of it either, we were blown away! Thank you!
I thought it was devil in a red dress.... What a cool story. Nice video, unbelievable view. Thanks for sharing. I'm gunna visit The Devil's Jump.
Nope, blue.
Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels 1966
Devil with a blue dress.
May be previous version/artist but idk.
@@petegregory517 I agree!
Thanks Melody and Shane. This overlook reminds me of another even more magnificent in Breaks Interstate Park. Perhaps you've been there. Right on the Virginia/Kentucky line.
Yeah our hometowns are pretty close to the Breaks. Very beautiful. This was actually about 4 hours from there! But I definitely see the similarities too. - Melody
Wow! Breath taking. Almost as pretty as ms melody 💙 thanks guys for another awsome one
Aw thank you so much!! - Melody
Syracuse NY nce had a huge salt industry a the area was rich in salt wells. Thus the city grew and became a major town in early America. Eventually other industries moved in and Syrancue became a wealthy city.
I never knew that about Syracuse. I just assumed it was the clay deposits. To make Syracuse China. Visited in late 70’s as possible college but it was to gray for me.
@@samanthab1923 Syracuse had a lot of great industry and jobs at one time, but, same old story, it's mostly gone now although they still have over 140,000 residents.
Cute video and great info
Devil’s Bathtub in Scott County, Virginia is similar, in that it is a very beautiful part of God’s creation but it’s named after the devil, or at least a devil. I need to check this out next time I’m in that country.
If you walked up on something sitting on a hickory stump playing a fiddle hard would yous run?
Probably, yes 🤣
You really captured on video the awesome views of this overlook. It is absolutely spectacular! It is one of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen!
Thank you! It really was for us too! We were in awe! - Melody
The story was very cool also.
Devil’s jump is the name of the rapid
Shane and melody I know a overlook for you all to see here in Morgan county TN lilly bluff overlook after all you been to Morgan county before aka brushy mountain state prison
We’ll have to remember that! Love that part of TN!
@@realappalachia it's a part of Nemo witch in Latin means nothing but it's a nice place to sit and relax or look at the water down below
👍👍👍
How far were you all from Breaks Interstate Park. The bend of that river looks exactly like an overlook in there
It’s actually about 4 hours from there! But I agree the terrain looks similar. Absolutely breaktaking. - Melody
Gah, I can't handle heights. I'd have to sit down and scoot out there to even get a glimpse. Glad for your video - it still made me antsy but at least I'm not getting stressed out.
I thought I had that problem but it turned out to be 'unguarded edges'. Never knew that condition existed till a lady told me about it while we were on a high bridge, she had it. ❤No guard rail or handrail there's no 'me' there. Even with rail I creep up and test it at arms length and will not lean on it. I don't know how I got it because repelling out of helicopters in the Marines, I was fine, but that was over 50 years ago. May have picked up mild ptsd in Desert Storm (civilian DOD employee, not military).
I’m the same way. If there’s good solid rails or I feel safe it doesn’t bother me nearly as much! - Melody
We’re scared of heights too but felt safe there. As long as I don’t look straight down Im pretty ok! It was definitely worth it here. - Melody
😮I would like to visit it. What where this place at??thanks for sharing God's blessings and safe travels
It’s close to Blue Heron, KY! Southern part of the state. Thank you! - Melody
How did it get its name....I usually try to avoid anything to do with the devil.👹
Why is it called Devils jump? not sure but as long as its not from the devil jumping off that thing while holding his hands out yelling "And Melody !!!"""
I thought the Devil Went Down to Georgia?
Must’ve been after he jumped from these rocks haha - Melody
@@realappalachia Or the hickory stump! lol
How about Shane's "The devil made me do it?"
Sure the dude's real name wasn't Jed? 😄
Goback in the fall and do a video !!!
