Yeah. Yesterday customer brought me a beard trimmer to fix. They managed to plug it to 230V grid instead 5V USB. Battery and motor survived but all the electronics is gone, just evaporated. :))
So i had to reinvent on-off circuit with a single push button and a charging circuit i replaced with PT4056 module. Nice creative job, you always rewarded with huge satisfaction after its done and device that should go to trash working again.

14:14 USB port is shorting to the cathode of the protective diode, one more leg need to be cut.
Yup. I was going to "thumbs down" it for that, but, hopefully that side of the diode is grounded anyway.
@@yeahright9014 It is not grounded, it goes to fuse and Vcc of the USB, if someone connect this toy to PC USB where shield of the cable is ground, it will blow up the USB PORT, it short before fuse so very bad things will happend.
Sorin did say in the video he checked it and it has 1mm gap but i agree it looks very close.

I'm always amazed how people can be so careless. I've gone through several cell phones, laptops, and other rechargeable devices over the past dozen or so years. I've never once messed up a charging port, or USB port. Thankfully, they have you to go to.
Great job, but With similar pin damage on both connectors, did you advise the customer to check if the plug on the charger is ok?

What the heck do people do to these ports, phones, consoles, hand held games,metal detectors, ipads, etc etc , my two girls from a very young age we're tought how to use and look after ports and cables ( what a fun dad I was ) never had any problems on any of their devices.

I have seen the security guards using this type of detector at the places where you're not allowed to carry mobile phone , video camera , microphone etc.

Hello, My WS6 headphones do not turn on, I never used them except the day I bought them and they taught me how to use them after that, I never used them for a year and a half. Hello friend. My screen went blank. I bought it on ebay and it came from Lithuania to Brazil. I don't have technical assistance here. If I could get a new display I would change it myself, but I don't know where to buy it. Is there any solution to recover the screen?
