Its a form of stretching called dynamic stretching. This type of stretching is more preferred prior to sports. You get a decent increase in overall range of motion while activating and preparing your muscles for a training session. Research shows normal kind of stretching (the kind you see people normally see routinely) isn't as efficient and can actually lead to higher chances of injury if you do it before a game. Im not saying normal stretching is bad tho, its effective in its own ways, just not before a game. And you're right in the sense that some of the exercises here are strength based, but if you notice the players don't go into high reps where they're fatigued, its just done to activate certain muscles and movements patterns. @@trikiboyy yes definitely! Great bunch of exercises and stretches here that you can use prior to trainings or jogs. Just make sure you're doing enough of those stretches to get you pumped up, not to the point where you feel fatigued or to 'failure' :)
