In my experience sporesplatta fanatics have been great w trolls. Generating extra attacks with these guys and Shepherd’s of Destruction on Rockguts/Dankholds, or using the above two with Sneaky Snufflers on something like Trugg creates a super juiced monster that no one wants to bother. Ran that in a game against coalesced Seraphon and had a great time!
Hard disagree regarding the Megamob. The increased regeneration (4 times per battle round instead of 2) does not do a ton when we lose a model ever 4 wounds. King's Gitz is better even if you run your Rockguts in packs of 6 (as you should).

Bear in mind, Trugg doesn't need to roll on his table every turn if he is only affecting himself
