Experimenting with some more realistic texturing and lighting. I'm moving away from keva planks that are orange, and towards them being more real keva / kapla plank coloured.
I used textured and volumetric lighting to make the scene more interesting, as well as HDR ambient lighting.

At 4:37, there are 2 sets of information in a row without a clip for the first one. The 6048 plank building that took 18 days to render is the one at 4:57. Unfortunately I didn't notice this until after I uploaded it.

For this I didn't use my own GPU because the only one I had was a 630m on a laptop. But I recently got a GTX 970 which should make things much faster!

Guardian Derp While I was watching that I thought the same and that unity could probably handle that in RT (or near RT) ;) I've been using both Blender and Unity now for over a year and I'm impressed on how much faster Unity is in physics simulation and rendering while achieving same results

its not hard at all LOL. You dont move them frame by frame, I dont think you know that blender, or whatever he's using, has physics.

Really amazing, can't tell you how good it made me feel to see these structures and how detailed the collapse was. I'm in architecture student and i amreally struggling with renders on Archicad. And when i see what you have done and how dedicated your work must be, i feel inspired. Very good job!
