- The New Bomb Blitz Shoots SUPER Fast Now! BTD6 / Bloons TD 6 - new to update 42 is a supposed small rework to this bottom path bomb: reduced in damage heavily but in exchange is much cheaper and shoots much faster! Here's how it fares as a main DPS option now...

Blitz actually had +5 fortified damage so it went from 11 fd to 3 fd
So it pretty much ignored the fortified property
@@justaplayer8629 With enough buffs it does better against fortifieds than normal bloons because many buffs increase damage to fortifieds (like alchemist for example)
Blitz got nerfed overall and it's weaker in CHIMPS now. My favorite strategy with it + Overclock doesn't even really beat round 98 on Dark Castle CHIMPS anymore, when previously it did without trouble.
Blitz is now an early game tower with that price buff, but there are better early game towers than Blitz. so yeah, this is a quite heavy nerf to blitz

Actually, it depends. Base Bomb Blitz is worst, but buffed it's better. The new Bomb Blitz mixed with an Alchemist and debufs (brittle, cripple and gluestorm) it's much better than the old one, since it's trade of damage per projectile for more attack speed makes it combo well with damage buffs
@@tpfoxCastro Factually wrong. The 1.5x attack speed does not make up for its huge loss in damage per hit even with buffs (Overclock, Alch, Jones, Village), and needing to buy entire tier 5 debuff towers to make up for the damage nerf is not remotely a viable option & is just burning a ton more of your monkey despite the Blitz price buff.
The Bomb Blitz actually scales pretty well late game with this change. Even the lost fortified bonus damage becomes pretty insignificant with every damage buff combined with the higher attack speed. Might be worth adding to Ultra late game runs now.
If bomb blitz is so "good" it won't need any other towers buff to increase the damage

@@Lol-zc1vd That's... not the point. He's pointing out that the buff scaling is much better now, and if I remember correctly, it's because higher attack speed towers benefit the most from buff scaling (think of towers like tack zone).
If you're gonna ultrabuff all your towers in the lategame anyways, might as well pay attention to the towers with highest potential for growth.

@Lol-zc1vd and it does. When you buff it. It destroys them even better when you buff it now than when you buffed it before. You are complaining about a problem that is not there.
Now think about a support tsg primary expertise permabrew ten times ultraboost/overclock and homeland defense with striker jones.

Engi paragon only overclocks itself.
Overclock doesn't stack with Ultraboost (not including 10x stack). And I'm pretty sure that Ultraboost now has full uptime on tier 5 towers if you have an engergizer sub on the screen.

Could you next talk about the unsubmerged energizer buff for its dart damage went from 1-5 and airburst damage from 1-5 so a massive single target dps increase

Blitz is so hard to properly balance because of that on-damage ability. The thing is SUPER strong if you play it right, which makes its best place in Impoppable. But with Chimps that ability is useless which drastically limits its effectiveness, and makes the balance really weird between game modes.

idk if it would be overpowered, but it would be cool if bomb blitz passive ability triggered when bloons are like, 95% of the way through the track. Probably decrease the damage and increase the cooldown a lot to compensate though
u should try a icicle impale 2mp in honor of that 004 ice u got at the end

lategame runs aren't very enjoyable to play nor watch. the game gets so laggy no matter what specs your pc has
Idk how fun or interesting it would be, but a CHIMPS run with only money making towers sounds cool. Ex. - Bottom path boat, Bottom path alch bottom path village, etc.

42.0 had a lot of changes! When I read the bomb blitz patch notes at first I thought it was a nerf overall, I guess not!

another part of the update is that advanced intel dosnt give the sub full map range and know the sub is so much worse

Advanced Intel doesn't outright give range. It only lets the sub attack in the range of other towers (granted there is no sightline blocker in the way)
It worked like that from the very beginning, so I don't get where you are getting that from
Challenge: 2m pops with no buffs, no glue gunners, no ice, no support to the main tower at all. Allow Bloon sabotage, knockback of any sorts or blow back.

This change resumed: Base Bomb Blitz is much worst, buffed Bomb Blitz is much better. Now 025 with Alchemist (and some debuffs like brittle and sniper) is stronger.
So, if you are doing a special challenge with explosives only and you have nothing to increase your damage, it's a big nerf, but if you can buff it's damage in some waay (debuffs also count), it's amazing.
Still, the price reduction is good either way. Makes comboing it with buffs not THAT expensive
Buffed Bomb Blitz is much worse still. Even with buffs it's worse than the previous update. The price reduction does not make up for it either.
honestly I feel like the half damage buff for only 7k off is kinda ridiculous. personally think it should be 4 instead of 3
I don't like a lot of "balance updates" nowadays because they are just filler to make people think they changed smth, like cutting a price by 50$ and raising it on another tier again.
But this patch we at least got some changes that actually felt like they had an influence on the gameplay of the towers.
Changing prices on upgrades and moving them somewhere else _does_ make a difference. It might be small but you cant take balance too quickly.
@@daniiii888 unless it's actually big numbers it never really matters because it's impossible to take every used $ in a chimps run into account. it would only make a difference if you couldn't afford a certain tower by round 40 for example but that so far with maybe 1-2 exceptions never was the case
@@leodavinci9682every dollar matters in chimps. Sure the community at large has gotten a lot better but the sentiment does still hold true, especially earlier on in runs.
@@leodavinci9682 that has happened like twice. The real balance changes, like the ones related to damage, literally happen every update and have balanced towers like Mauler, impale, Bloon crush, permaspike, elite defender, and countless others. If you actually checked the patch notes you would know this.
It literally takes one Google search to see that pretty much every t5 and most towers have received some change since launch.
@@brandonbombplays9304 if you would read my comment you would know I said "nowadays". The recent updates rarely ever bring real balance changes anymore unlike in the first few years when towers got changed and balanced quite heavily
