  • In this episode of Tones & Sounds I am talking about Italian guitars from the 60s - Galanti Grand Prix, Eko 400 Ekomaster and Eko Condor 820/4v.
    Clean tones and old school fuzzy sounds. And some of the coolest guitars ever!
    Gear used
    - Galanti Grand Prix (1965)
    - Eko Condor 820/4V (1967)
    - Eko 400 Ekomaster (1962)
    - Magnatone Twighlighter Amp
    - AKG 414 mic on guitar
    - EarthQuaker Devices Palisades
    - Catalinbread Perseus
    - Dunlop Fuzz Face
    - BBE Wah
    - Avalon V5 preamp
    I completely messed up the focus in this one but who cares about focus when we talking guitars right?
    Let me know which one you like out of the 3 guitars or maybe you have an old Italian guitar from the 60s?

    I love this era of Italian guitars! I have a sunburst semi-hollow, single coil, bigsby type trem that was initially sold in America under a different name but came from the Crucianelli factory in the late 60s. They're all got such a unique feel

      @MaximPalchikov  Před rokem +1

      Yeah man those are unique indeed! Crucianelli is kinda unknown but they produced some amazing guitars. Love that vintage Italian 60's era too! Just added a couple raw jams on Eko 400 if you wanna check it out. Cheers!

    Интересные гитары. Хороший обзор. Приятная душевная игра.
    Галанти, явно была образцом для советской гитары Одесса.

      Спасибо огромное! Да, мне кажется советские гитары вполне могли быть скопированы с более ранних итальянских/немецких моделей. Футуристичные дизайны прямо очень заходили в 60е..

    The Eko Condor is the guitar Jason Stollsteimer from the Von Bondies played to have that 60s garage sound, he has like 5 of them.
    Very cool to see someone aknowledging the existence of Galanti, great instruments from the past, thank you! 🙏

      Thanks! I’ll check Von Bondies thanks for telling me. Yeah those guitars are perfect for some garage sounds. Definitely gonna use my Galanti with some fuzzes in the studio for some new tunes. Cheers! 😉😀😎

    You have a gorgeous collection right there! Gotta late 60s Condor (exactly like yours; red sparkle) that i finally found new tremolo mounts for (my uncle originally got it while grandad was stationed in the Mediterranean in the 60s, and it's been sitting in one attic or another for 30 plus years; recently passed on to me as my mom was downsizing). Can't wait to get the parts and make some noise with it!

    Wow, I’m into Japanese guitars from the sixties, and from that, searching eBay, I found Russian guitars and now this, Italian guitars, all very interesting, fender and Gibson should hand their heads in shame, they are so passé.

    What do you know about the Eko 500/V3? Are these Eko's made with the plastic instead of wood?

    • @MaximPalchikov
      @MaximPalchikov  Před rokem

      Hey man I believe the body can be both wooden and plastic. My 400 is really light so I guess it’s faux wood. My other Eko is definitely wooden body, not so light. Anyways the tone of Eko 500 should be cool. The pickups are a bit on the bright side, my Eko Condor has the same pickups as Eko 500. Anyways you can get some amazing tones put of these guitars.
