Despite the Samsung having the (supposed) advantage of 5nm process vs 7nm of the Motorola. And the (supposed) advantage of amoled vs LCD. Offsetting this is the fact that the Samsung has 120 hz display. However, I think it was at 120 hz for only a small part of the test. Actually, Anandtech has shown that the Samsung 5nm fab is only on par with tsmc 7nm for efficiency / performance per watt. Also, performance gains of 888 only come at expense of huge power draw, around 8 watts, causing excess heat and throttling of chip to more realistic frequency. Takeaway is sd870 will represent better value than 888. It's a really good read if ur interested in mobile cpu's / soc's.

Pls avoid benchmarks in your drain test and replace it with standby drain test. That would be a fair comparison. You may do the benchmark test in a separate video
Xiaomi's MIUI really doesn't have the best optimization. My old Samsung phone with 4000mAh lasts longer than my Xiaomi phone with 5000mAh. I hope the upcoming MIUI 12.5 would really fix the battery drain.
Yes miui itself has issue with battery optimization. My poco x3 gives me only 6-7hrs of screen on time whereas before software update I used to get 9-10 hrs of screen on time, and yes it is very noticeable , I mean come on xiaomi wtf are you doing?
I think the difference is small because Dimensity 1000+ isn't as powerful as SD888, smaller display and 90hz refresh rate while Moto had IPS display which consume more battery.

Though it's battery is big I am surprised to see mototrola holding up this much even though it has a lcd screen.
Mi 11 and Motorola Edge S are heating up a lot ... The Mi11 is worse because the battery lasts little longer than that.
That can be addressed later with a bigger cooling system!

iqoo has a much smaller battery so that should be pretty good. It also has 120W charger so battery is not quite a problem

Mi 11 has video memc and upscaler enabled by default. Saw a review that this cause the cpu to use more power while watching video.
mi 11 really has a serious problem with the SD 888. We can confirm that it's not the problem of the chip.

Mi 11 is good on paper but MIUI doesn't do the hardware inside justice.
Xiaomi phones tend to be unoptimized and have battery drain issues quite commonly and sometimes performance issues too
