There's a big difference from a fan of hip hop and the actual participants/emcees and dj's, chronic is a classic💯
Respect Crook 🫡 For always pushing change and giving us food for thought 💭
#COB 🏴🏳🏴
Appreciate you Crook. You a rap superhero bro. Salute
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 seven signs of the apocalypse.
The Chronic is a CLASSIC!!!
Anyone who thinks The Chronic doesn't qualify as a classic needs their head examined.
I’m gonna have to dive into this on the ride home, but I’m looking forward to it! ✊🏽
Hey now... I play the flute! 😊 I played flute & piccolo from 6th grade to now. Thats some bad ass music. Now it sounds good to me but it does need someone to rap on that first joint. 😉😉
No need for apologies! We love you!
I never heard of you not speaking your mind or even thought I seen it, do your thing Crook I'm lovin it(knock knock...)
Glad to hear you’re safe… sad that such a beautiful ceremony was shot up!!
Salute ! Agree with your take on Umar's statement. Hip Hop is flawed, the economics might be a mess. But everything needs to be taken in perspective, Hip-Hop has done a lot of good things
You should make a sweepstakes. Call it “a day with crook” let us all pay to enter and draw a name. You make bank and we get a chance at a day chilling with you.
Everyone has brightness and dimensions of dimness within them but it's what whom chooses to drive themselves throughout that matters
Reality rap isn't going anywhere. People will always rap about what they know or where they come from. For me, conscious rap it's where it's at. I'd rather see Locksmith getting love than just about any mainstream emcee today.
I heard a DJ sampling 3stacks new album and it was fire.
Loving this Crook.. this is grade A cigar content 🔥
Yessir! Saying "the buck stops here" will break the chain of what you were taught by the OG's & then maybe some things will change to a positive light. Its their demons that they are letting in their life. I love seeing the love! 💜💜 Just sayin 🤷🏼♀️
Thanks for defending Hip Hop. BOTH THE Chronic and 2001 are classics. Still play them back 2 back
Check out Bizzle- Poppin . He’s another Christian rapper who has been talking about similar things. It’s pretty deep! Your song Bandana is a masterpiece which had a great message. Although I like toxic music sometimes too though. Biggie - Gimmie the Loot is still one of my favorites all time lol
Thanks for the upload Crooked!❤
Can you interview kottonmouth kings
I think I might like this weekly, last time I saw this u were Barin Niggas to death, I'll love to see you start speaking them into Life 🫡💪(GANG) oh yeah shouts out to the SHOE 👏👏👏👏

Uncle Ruckus 😂
I appreciate your perspective Crook! Thanks for pointing out the positive aspects of Hip Hop. It’s important to point out both, not just the bad. 🫶
Salute 2 the Kobe MC.....Peace and abundance on the journey my nigga ...hip hop weekly 2024 we waitn mr 🐐 Mc lol
Man everyone was bumpin the chronic album in the 90s
Perfect title! 😂
Yes!! Good morning Hells!! 🫡👊🏼💜
These conspiracies are created to find some type of logic in the illogical…so a lot of times, for as believable as they may sound, you gotta simply ask “For what??” when certain so-called “theories” surface.
I'm sorry Crook. I agree with Dr Umar. There are always exceptions to the rule, but overall it's been more negative than positive. We don't have any more Tupac Shakur's or rappers on a main stream level that make constructive music. Most of these label will not allow you to disrespect certain groups of people. They will allow blacks to say n word all day but will black ball you like Kanye if you even think of disrespecting their group.
Exactly.Umar with all due respect wasn’t talking about Crook who’s irrelevant to the bottom line of hip hop. He’s talking about Drake,Kendrick,Cole and guys at that level.
Andre gave us a flute album with no bars 😂 idk why Crook bit the opening of this episode made me chuckle 😂
I call out Meek Mill & Rick Ross over that phony $50,000 sweepstakes...
I believe that the great awakening is going to cure hip hop
Fun rap was dope!! That new Vulture's album is actually pretty fun!! Kanye said fuck it and is having fun with it.
Collegrove 2 is fire
I agree with you King some rap artist do extend the reality rap too long it’s time to bring back fun hip hop music and consciousness in rap educational rap and yes some political rap to inspire the purpose why we love this music keep doing the good work king S/0 to Joel Ortiz and Royce da 5’9 you guys are the best in the game peace 👑
Uk have centres now for medical 4 cannabis
Chronic ultimate, sadly the trespassers nicked that original copy I finally bought at record store Marlborough uk
I love you. Your amazing I'm not sure what all your referring to but what I do know your just💯
💜😈💜
So many questions about this, that can't be asked on a public forum without raising some individual's dander. The sincerity of which are what many people want to know, but because of the sensitive nature, won't be asked. Being an elder to almost everyone on here, I too have my personals, I would really like to discuss off the podium. As far as the genre of Hip-hop goes. It is just like all others with the exception of the vernacular used. Nobody is going to make any music that everyone will like.. That's just a given. Gonna be honest here.. Chronic is and always will be a classic, no 2 ways about it.
Shout out the chronic album and Deez Nutz with Warren G! Banger
Dope ass hat!
Music was language before what anyone spoke was possible
Let’s talk about fun rap. Talk about Joey Valence and Brae. They even stated in an interview that they want to create fun rap and we need fun rap. They are great, plus they keeping that Beastie Boy sound alive.
YUKMOUTH PUFFIN LAH

Snoop didn't give up smoking. He was promoting smokeless fire pits.

Stt run deep. Time to put foot down and dont let the clowns rob us
Mix bread I traced my albinism...Hackett and Frederick Douglass,,,,wtf,,,,
Crook, are u still going to battle Dizaster at GTX or is that never gonna happen anymore?
Im in my 30's and this is by far the worst state ive seen hip hop in
CC20 😂 That’s a 🔥 code though for real haha.
🏴🏳️🏴
Hip Hop has done nothing for the black community yet has mad made billions off of Black community trauma.Umar was absolutely correct and rappers have yet to be able to refute it.
Naw no more weed athems. Devin the Dude got us covered. We need more Hip-Hop Weeklys but with a twist. Mabe a special guest or producer. MORE BARS
Some of these podcasters are only fans of Drake, Future etc and have no intention of delving into the old skool classics, they are just trying to get eyes on them.
I think he was talking about Meek mostly because Meek is all about the prison reform and then talking about killing someone the next minute. It's definitely hypocritical, I mean right?
There is good and bad in every sect group religion culture family etc Anything can be used for good or evil.
1k loc, some of these no clue having mfs need to stop.
Who? What? When? And where said The Chronic is not a classic?.
300

these snitches whistle blowing like 3k thee days, of A-Von an WeeBey are gone an no rebates, gotta go’on seize takes on ya own an keep gates,
drawn concrete made like arms for beef-cakes,…
dr Umar said JEWISH wrong.
Yo hit me up with the flute album ill make u laugh
I feel like Dee-1 has a point, and Hip-Hop does need a balance between conscious and toixc rap. We do need both, if it was just one style then the music would get repetitive.
I use to lisyen to dee 1 a little when i was a hardcore lecrae fan but now i just do NF
@@reefykatu2749 word, NF goes hard. His latest project is dope.
Blk whte supremacy 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Come to find out. Same label owners make over 2 BILLION per year. Same people that own universal and other majors make billions off of streams while paying artist penny's. Distro kid, apple music ect are all owned buy majors l. Damn if you dont damn if you do.
COB4LIFE CROOK
@iSupermanCKi is absolutely right!! He's promoting a new fire pit product that is #Smokeless so yeah... He ain't ever gonna give up smoke 💨💨
Context is key big bro. You started off seeming to get Dee-1. He did go after more vets with this challenge. But your pivot to reality rap and people talking about whats going on in the hood is not what he's saying. He's calling out rappers who have left the hood, got kids in private school, making millions, advocating prison reform still making records acting like they are still flipping birds and saying to roll up on someone and pop pop. He gave the example of lyrics Meek Mills had on new records. So its not about reflective or reality rap, its about acting or promoting a life you don't live no more, which in turn glorifies it. Its not like oh my brother got shot because xyz and my family mourned or yea back in the day we use to xyz. Rappers still portray they are scarface. Jay-z does rap about other gown up things now and so does Ross, but every so often, they act like they still selling bricks. So I love the convo, but we can't change the context of the narrative to provide a counter argument. Just like the whole hip hop is in charities. Ok, that wasn't the point. Rick Ross said the same thing in his retort to Dee-1. The point is the lyrics and the suggestive messages that influence the influencible. Just because you provided some turkeys and bikes to hundreds doesn't take away the messages and mindset that were sent out to millions. I love hip hop but now being older, I look back and realize that in middle school, I was singing Murder Carols. I learned about every drug i would not have ever known about otherwise by my fav artists. The only thing hip hop influenced me to actually do was grow braids. But for others, they went all in. Folks who were just in regular apartments that wasnt the worst conditions acted like and treated their areas like it was the hardest hoods, played the gangstas they saw and heard. So if we are going to have a true convo about it, we who love hip hop have to stop quickly pivotting and defending it without addressing the core issues. I love hip hop and understand there are some good in it, but we have to be man enough to realize there was propaganda in it, there were rappers who were unknowingly used and thinking the execs wanted to hear "their stories" not knowing it was reallying to rewrite everyone elses realities and life choices. We all adopted how they treated women in the videos, folks all wanted to stand on the corners, smoke weed, where baggy jeans, rock hoodies, sell whatever to make a quick buck because school was hard and it wasn't cool to be smart. The radio would have talks of candle light vigils about a kid getting shot, and then the next song will be about killing. Can we please not act like this didnt happen and that there are some serious negative effects from hip hop. You touched on the good, cool, but can you admit the bad. ALL hip hop aint bad, but ALL hip hop aint good.
Oh the Chronic and Chronic 2001 is a classic. Chronic 2000 tho? Naw. Sorry Death Row. Whatever you write off...Don't write off Glasshouse Dummy Co Inc we need it to release a written off record. 😊 #Glashdummies
Supremacy ain't jus white

busta just dropped an album and tbh Im not a fan, especially being a busta fan since the 90s
Problem with it is it takes way more then it gives how many rappers died compared to country singers how many so called real ones went to slid on there oops to Garth brooks? Calm down hip hop has been taken over since the 80s done way more worse the good
Got my words and time. Tool time ⏲️
