      Chad Mees Care to share the modification required? And how are the Godspeeds holding up? I’m looking to drop my Fusion a bit, so I was looking at these or just going with a set of Eibachs.

      The Louvers you have to remove the center section on the bottom and trim slightly the bottom edge because the mustang window is slightly longer than the fusion. As for the Godspeeds, they drop the car nicely but they ride pretty harsh through neighborhoods or bumps on the highway. Personally I’m ok with it but I could have saved a lot of money and ride quality by swapping springs only. Smooth roads or most surface streets the ride is pretty good though

      Check their website. They should have something that will fit your car.

    What's you front coilovers preload?

    • @ChadMees
      @ChadMees  Před 4 lety

      10mm. Rides decent on the highway but anything else is pretty jarring even with the struts on the softest setting. It doesn’t feel like the springs are doing much at all

      @@ChadMees okay, thanks I'm running through the same problem I can say. On highway and new roads I run smooth as butter, but on the city bumpy roads, they don't do so good. My next step its to probably adjust the preload to 5mm and how that works for me.

      I live in Pennsylvania, so you know roads are not the best.

    • @ChadMees
      @ChadMees  Před 4 lety

      Rychardson that’s my next step as well it’s not terrible but I Uber out of my car and I can tell some bumps are a bit harsh for my passengers

    • @Richards0n1
      @Richards0n1 Před 4 lety

      @@ChadMees I stop doing uber after I installed the coilovers, worst thing was hitting a pothole. The rear is good, but although the car has a small engine it has all the weight on the front, I wish the coilovers came preadjusted from factory, it's just hard trying to do it your self when you don't have lots of time and jacking your car every 20 minutes. Tomorrow I might be doing the 5mm preload i let you know, how it is working for me.

    You did it the hard way. Those springs aren't under that much tension. Especially is you aren't driving and have another jack handy with a simple prybar. My experience is springs are not as important as good shocks, like the blue and yellow ones. I'm seriously gonna try just measuring my old springs and putting them on the bandsaw before i buy shorter springs again for hundreds and hundreds of $. I'm more concerned with cast and camber and all that when I'm done. Don't be afraid to mark your bolts and take pictures. Cheers
