My theory: The reason the orca carries a toy ducky, is because it's meant to imply that the orca is still a baby, and it is possible that its parents and family had already been caught by the poachers, since orcas travel by pods and the orca in the video is seen to be alone, could also be the reason why it stays in the same area as the poachers as it is the last location it has been with the rest of its family and it no longer has anywhere else to go.

An Iceberg and an Orca, what a crazy combination, the Animation is really stunning, thank you for showing this.
the animation is stylized . . but it still incorporates a suprising ammount if realistic textures and lighting
so it allmost looks real
yet it still works quite well with oddly shaped characters and unrealistic settings
Such a tragic ending but darn that scene when Icebergy smashed that poachers' ship was awesome! Also, both the animation & lighting were gorgeous & that's the squishiest-looking orca ever!
Appreciate the efforts made for this.. Each and every shots are stunning. Especially lighting. Being an animation student i keep watching this with wonder

I love the visuals, the colors, and the fluidity of the movements. This is some beautiful animation.
I have an obsession for snow and ice. I was happy in the beginning. But when glacé sacrificed himself. I cried 😭😭😭
This is why I keep watching these types of films. To find the Special One out of a 💯 not so special ones. This film is that needle in a haystack I search for!

I came for 6 minutes of a cartoon, not a rollercoaster of emotions!!! 😂 This was amazing animation!!! Great story telling and achieved so much in so short time!!! Wow! I am crying, but happy to been experienced that! Thank you!

Oh it is really Dumb , killing whales is prohibited by UN . The japanese whaling industry use a loop hole in the law . It permits the killing of whales for research purposes.

I like that in the part where the iceberg shoots out of the water, the harpoon gun slowly raises as if it was looking in horror at imminent doom. Little details like that make it all the more easy for the viewer to give emotions to inanimate objects. Very good job, guys.
The moment the orca started seeking for the iceberg, tears came out, the moment the iceberg shut it's eyes, the tears fell

What a beautiful feeling this movie presents, not only the environment but helping the one in need, great movie
I remember when I first watched The Wall by Pink Floyd, it spoke volumes and you understood immediately the subject and an emotion behind it. I see that here and it's under ten minutes. I think this piece is very profound in such a short time period. How wonderful that you had thanked so many people and kudos to those that started this journey. A well earned award you have there. The water is stunning, you have it dead on :D

Gotta love those Chinese *research* vessels. And for those of you who don’t know China sends out vessels under the guise of research and they hunt tons of whales even in protected places where whaling is illegal. It’s pretty messed up.
And for those who don’t know China actually has strict laws against it and that those ships are actually from Korea and japna

hahaha XD Yes and no its can also mean ''ice in water" cause "glace" mean ice, but in some place its a way they call ice cream too. Where I am from we say ''crème glacée'' more for ice cream cause it's mean iced cream and not only ice and I think it's more accurate. By the way "Water based ice cream" is just a sorbet XD...... Anyway, I just wanted to say I think the title is probably more ''ice in water" than "Water based ice cream" cause it make more sense but the two translations are technically correct and it's making me smile. ^w^
