If there is leadership like a kingdom, that's how culture is preserved and history is documented

Guys. First: Nice react. Second: Quilombo (Kilombo) dos Palmares or N'gola Janga (Little Angola) last leader is Zumbi (N'Zombi) dos Palmares and your wife Dandara dos Palmares. You need to react a song by Jorge Ben "AFRICA BRASIL (ZUMBI)" the álbum version for the album "AFRICA BRASIL" or Jorge Ben "ZUMBI" the álbum version for the album "A TABUA DAS ESMERALDAS"
    Salute

There was an African descent that was extremely important for the end of slavery in Brazil, his name was André Rebouças, he was 1/2 black and 1/2 white. Most of the African descents were not thought how to read and write, but André Rebouças was an exception because he was son of a rich white man, so he became an engineer and helped in the approval of the Law that ended slavery in Brazil. His brother Antônio Rebouças also helped in this process and there were other people involved, but André Rebouças actions were more influential. There are other African descents that were extremely important in the history of Brazil, for example, the biggest writer in the history of Brazil "Machado de Assis" was an African descent too, he was 1/4 black and 3/4 white. Of course every person is important and helps in the construction of a country, but since most of the African descents were not thought to read in the past, they had limited means to fight for freedom. The Quilombos were local attempts for freedom, but unfortunately, most of the people that lived in these areas ended up caught or even dead. The only successful slave revolution was the one that happened in Haiti and in this country 90% of the population was composed of slaves, way more than the percentage of slaves in Brazil.

His name was Zuma "ganga" is something like king or leader. So, Ganga Zuma is something like King Zuma.
After his death the one who took his place was his nephew Zumbi and the day of his death (November 20th) became the Black conciousness day in Brazil. Actually, Zumbi is more famous then Zuma here. The picture in the end of the video is Zumbi.

It would be nice to see you guys react to some Maracatu vibes from brazil, we have some beautiful displays and amazing bands like "Nação Zumbi"
You can find maracatu corteges all over Brazil, and its truly beautiful!
Another figure that was very important in the abolishion was Dragão do Mar from Ceara, Fortaleza, Ceara was the first province (state) to abolish slavery trade in Brazil. We have a Museum, actually a big apparel of education and recreation called Dragão do Mar =)

Good afternoon. Gangazumba is known in Brazil by the name of Zumbi dos Palmares. The date of his death was established as the day of black consciousness in Brazil.
There are many black heroes in Brazil who unfortunately are not properly recognized, obviously, for the existence of structural racism. In the interest of the white elite to maintain the Status Quo. But, we are changing that little by little. We had a civilizing delay in the previous ultra-right government, which made the reactionaries and bigots gain voice. Fortunately, we have a government that is more humanitarian and concerned about these issues. Gradually, my wonderful country is getting rid of this type of mentality, but it will still take some generations to reach a more egalitarian social system in all senses.
Be at peace. I really like when you guys react to things in Brazil. We Brazilians are very proud of our country despite everything that goes wrong.... We will keep fighting. God bless them.

A runaway slave arrived on the kilombos as a free man... if you were conquered on a raid or sold you would be a Slave. As a slave, you could replace your servitude by bring another slave to take your place. It wasn't cute... our people did in America on the same way they did in Africa. If you want to be real about the diaspora, you have to face the fact that a big chunk of slaves were sold to Europeans by Africans.
