This beta is just for that: the devs observe how the players react and use the game's mechanics and make changes for the better (or simetimes for the wors) in the final game.
Putting Tornado in videogame? Battlefield is hardly being original here. Jurassic World Evolution did it before Battlefield. And the Sims has had tornadoes for years.
While a tank was designed to withstand a nuclear blast, it's possible that it could survive a tornado, but an EF5, you don't wanna come across as they're extremely powerful enough to lift heavy vehicles, including airliners. A fighter jet wouldn't likely fly through a tornado either as the wind is too powerful for a plane, designed to glide through the air despite that it would fly fast than the speed of sound, meaning the fighter jet would spin out of control when flying through it, causing it to crash into the ground. Mother Nature is a powerful force mankind can't control no matter how hard you try.
A fighter jet could easily fly though a tornado with winds of 300mph, but debris would most likely say no to that and smash the jet into peices. If the jet is going less than 700mph then no, it would grab the jet and spin it all over the place.
They better make helis MUCH WEAKER to tornadoes, like instant death if you go too close to it. If you try to fly a helicopter directly into a tornado in real life you're not coming out the other side and flying away LMAO

Cool Fact! If you look on the outer edge of the map like manifest, orbital, I think kaleidoscope, you can see tornados 🌪 that are outside of the map. Now there doesn't have to be a tornado on the map to see em. If it is raining hard enough. take a look on the outside of the map. Helicopters would make it easier to spot them. Just thought this was a cool detail that was added to the game!!!!
Seriously it can cause the shuttle to explode yet doesn't really damage the player yes people can survive getting sucked up by a tornado on occasion except most of the time, debris is likely going to hit you at very fast speeds lightning is likely to strike you,again if it's going over a barn for instance that's made of mostly metal and it has you inside of it and those hundreds or possibly thousands of sharp metal shards are flying around good chance your not leaving that tornado with out a peace of sharp metal either lacerating or impaling you so whilst it's cool as hell to see flying around with a wing suit it's unlikely you would casually be able to just fly around in a tornado
I agree. A lot of people are saying that it's just a game, so it doesn't need to be perfect, which is true to an extent, but so many things could be done better that will make them way more intimidating and cool.
I hope i'm not wrong when the full game comes out, but with him coming back to modern warfare, The portal mode where you can play the remake of the olders battlefields customizing your own experience.... I think this time Dice have all the oportunity to bright and make the BF's fans happy.
They should strengthen the tornadoes a bit. Maybe even add an EF intensity scale to have variation in tornadic potential. I would love to see that.

They need to make these tornados stronger. You can stand like 3 inches from it before it sucks you in. Makes them pointless.
