    Bhor Ghat is a mountain pass located between Palasdari and Khandala for railway and between Khopoli and Khandala on the road route in Maharashtra, India, on the crest of the Western Ghats.
    Bhor Ghat, also known as Bor Ghat or Bhore Ghat, is a mountain passage in the Western Ghats of India. It is located in the state of Maharashtra and is a crucial transportation route that connects the Deccan Plateau to the Konkan region and Mumbai. The ghat is an integral part of the Sahyadri mountain range and plays a significant role in the geography and transportation infrastructure of the region.
    Bhor Railway Ghat, an integral part of India's extensive railway network, traverses the challenging Western Ghats terrain, connecting Mumbai and Pune. This historic rail route boasts electrification, gradients, tunnels, and viaducts, showcasing remarkable engineering feats. It remains a lifeline for both commuters and freight, facilitating efficient transportation, while also offering scenic vistas, making it a remarkable testament to the country's railway heritage.

    I can see there's a lot of work that has went into creating this video, it was really well researched video, backed by relevant drone videos, along with old photos and illustrations in order to explain the route. This video has a lot of value in it just like in any other documentary that we see on NatGeo or Discovery. Great job guys, keep it up

    #AskPT Why we don't make standard gauge track instead of broad gauge track

    • @birajde3649
      @birajde3649 Před 7 měsíci +11

      Good question, I think it's primarily because of the population of India. Trains running on broad gauge track can occupy more passengers than trains running on Standard gauge. Also India being a huge country has the capability to establish a railway network of it's own without depending on other countries, so it can make track of any size uniformly across the country and it will still work and used. But a small country like the Europeans cannot do that cause the rail network is related to each other. Would love to learn more from @Powertrain #AskPT
