Who's your Player of the Season so far? Tell us in the comments!
Vvd obviously
Rory is pure nonsense
1.Rodri
2.Foden
3.Salah
4.Saka
5.Gabriel(Saliba has also been great, but i think Gabriel has been better then Saliba this season)
6.Rice
the longer the video went on the more os a stinker Turkish had.
Either Phil or rice
He missed a portion of the season
It’s perfectly fine to argue that Foden is better than Saka or even that he’s been better this season, but it’s just not true to say that Saka is nowhere near him. People are so blinded by aesthetics it’s like they lose their mind when they see a good central player
Actually that segment when Steve called Rice a ‘work man like’ midfielder and thought it was ridiculous that a fancy technical player wasn’t the best player in the league proves this
Foden has also been better than Saka in every other season.
@@TP-pq9xxno he hasn’t 😂 particularly last season, Saka was definitely better than Foden. I’m not going to bash Foden for playing in a better team but it is an objective fact that Saka is more important to Arsenal than Foden is to city, especially in previous seasons.
@@hamzaafc06 (non penalty) g/a per 90 22/23 PL season :
Foden - 0.83
Saka - 0.65
It wasn't even close last season. Foden is so clear.
He is nowhere near him Saka has know skill or creativity wotsoever he's a pace merchant
Foden isn’t even an aesthetically pleasing player to watch. He doesn’t even dribble that much when you compare him to other attacking midfielders and forwards. I’m convinced people don’t even watch him play full 90s.
Bukayo Saka had a quiet first half of the season, but still has more goals and assists than Phil Foden... but Saka isn't close to Foden? Mmm right 😕
2018/19 Raheem Sterling had more goals and assist than Ronaldinho in his Ballon d'Or winning season, who's the better player? People who rank players purely off stats like you have 0 ball knowledge, simple.
Not everything is about G/A ffs..
There’s different ways to compare. Strictly just using G/A isn’t it.
@@mariokoschatzky4572Raheem Sterling in 2018/19 was hands down the best player in the league, the fact that you’re downplaying what he’s done for Man City shows how dumb you really are
@@mariokoschatzky4572 Well you're arguing something completely different to everyone else... this video, and my comments are not about who is better between the two players. Personally I believe that Saka is better than Foden anyway, but my arguement is that Rory said this season, Saka hasn't been close to Foden, which is flatly wrong!!! Sure, Foden has been better just this season, but its wrong to say that Saka hasn't been close. Before you write sh*, next time understand the context of what's being talked about 👍🏿
@@hellohi1445 And I agree with you... the reason I wrote that is in response to Rory saying that this season Foden has been far and away better than Saka. I agree that, just this season, Foden has been better but I disagree with saying that Saka hadn't been close.
So Saka is nowhere near foden yet he has better numbers
That makes sense…
Foden's stepped up in KDB's absence and had the bigger match winning moments.
@@areebsiddiqui758what big matches has he won this season?
Foden has run the games as well. It's not just a G+A comparison, football is more than that.
It's more about watching the game than numbers mate
You idiots are obsessed with numbers, I swear, as if that's the only thing that matters.
This foden waffle abt him being the best in the league is getting out of hand now.

Turkish hats off to you for not losing your head. How on earth can anyone think Foden has been consistent ALL season?! Declan has been far more consistent than any of them.
I’m a spurs fan and even I can tell you Rice and Saka have out performed Rodri and foden. Not by much but still.
@@BigClaunch Yet Rodri slaps Rice's stats all over the place despite playing 3 games less
@@othinusz3576 they stats nearly identical. Rodri has more passes. Could argue either way… but I’m not. I would take bissouma first 10 games 😂
Yeah Rodri is unbeaten this season, so how can Rice be more consistent than Rodri
Word myth perpetrated by Saka fans is that Foden hasn’t been smconsistent his whole career . He’s almost never dropped a stinker. Consistently 20 G/As a season for 4 years now and is one of the better city players on the field every time.
Someone in production needs to ban Rory from making intentionally stupid, controversial statements. Just massively devalues the content for marginal engagement.
So true
True. It ends up wasting time cos everyone else inevitably argues against it, taking up time they should be spending on more interesting things. But it puts him at the centre of everything, which is obviously great for Brand Rory.
Exactly, it’s so obvious he just says whatever it takes to be inflammatory and drive rage engagement. It’s so transparent and boring.
Spot on. Been saying this for a minute. The stupidity takes away from the quality of the product

Foden being the best player in the league right now is an insane take wow
Ua, he's been class, but best, no way
Sorry but he is
What a worthless nothing comment. It's not insane at all is it? It's easily arguable.
Not even the best player in his own team Rodri’s been so much better but because no one really watches city they assume Foden plays well
@@maxm7365so Foden wasn’t actually playing well? Just assumptions?

@@Vlad-zt3rf foden has never had a season better than saka he isnt picked for england because of saka. foden is gifted into playing for the best team with the best players. hes good probably even great but god knows he isnt the best the prem has.
@@Vlad-zt3rf I would agree that Foden is better than Saka this season but there isn't much in it. Rory saying he's miles ahead is just trolling.
@Vlad-zt3rf having amazing talent for football doesn't automatically make you a better player. Foden is a very good player who has played in the best team for the last few seasons, he has only just started playing first team football this season. He's had a good season so far, yet still is on pace to finish behind saka who has supposedly had a poor season. Not saying stats mean everything, but the eye test doesn't either
Saka: P27 G13 A10, 7 games with no G/A.
Foden: P28 G11 A7, 14 games with no G/A.
Stats aren't everything but Foden blanking twice as often as Saka really highlights how wild and uninformed some of the takes on these segments are.
Numbers don’t lie do they.
@BigClaunch Indeed they don't. But I just had a look at Ollie Watkins' numbers and holy sh*t! G16 A15.
He's on course to join Henry's 20-20 club!

The longest Saka has gone this season in the league without a goal or assist is 4 games, is that what we’re referring to when we’re talking about serious doubts about his form?
Not about the numbers he always goes missing when it matters most

Idiot to say Foden is miles above Saka. Saka has a better defensive work rate as well. They are close, but Saka edges him. Not by levels either. Again, they are close.
As far as consistency and importance to team.
1 - Rice - Hasnt missed a game for injury or suspension. 3 yellows.
2 - Rodri - If he wasn't hurt or suspended, he'd probably be #1 seeing as City is such a different team without him. His discipline record drops him down tho. 8 yellows and a red.
3 - Saka - No injuries or suspensions and even with that slow start to the year has better stats than Foden. He is relied on when Arsenal are struggling to break a defense.
4 - Salah - With Afcon and his injuries hes had a quiet GREAT year. If he didnt miss as much time, hed be higher. 22 games, 15g 9a, 19 chances created. Hes statistically better than the other attacking players. Hes just missed games.
5 - Foden - Someone had to be last but hes had a good year. Cities most consistent player this year, puts him in third for me behind Rice and Saka but his importance drops him for me. In that City side, bc of their quality his value gets deminished. Like they kinda said if De Bruyne isnt injury prone at this point in his career. Foden is still coming off the bench. Its hard to get passed. He might be more of a rotational player now if De Bruyne is 100% but he wouldnt be a cant drop player for City imo. Hes getting rotated. No one else on this list you can say that.
Well KDB came back in January. Did Foden get dropped or become a rotational piece at any point from then on? Might be time to reevaluate some opinions
Bukayo Saka in 27 PL Games: 13 Goals, 8 Assists.
Phil Foden in 28 PL Games: 11 Goals, 7 Assists.
If you’re going purely off the stats, Saka has been the better/more productive player in the premier league so far this season.

If Rory is saying saka has been far from foden yet he still has more G/A then that should tell u something
Not really, as Foden has many minutes in the midfield this season and he has been rested more. But "far" is probably not correct though.
If you actually watch the two play foden has a bigger influence on a game than saka does by a mile
Foden is shocking for England average outside of city

Absolutely no chance saka through this season has been better than Salah. Prior to the injury with Egypt Salah was the best player in the league. Recency bias in these debates is insane.

I struggle listening to Foden better than Saka debates - when you show Saka's stats are better, some subjective argument is made. Saka and Foden don't play the same role. Foden plays a more central role whilst Saka is an attacking winger. Foden's performance for England shows he's effective in MCFC only - except proved otherwise. At most, all of the comments are subjective.
fodens football IQ, spatial awareness, decision-making, makes difficult look easy his becoming more press resistant close control all have been excellent his a joy to watch definitely been above saka when it comes to fulfilling a role and team performances in the team so in the season . in regards to Saka his now in that stage where he puts in numbers even he didnt perform well numbers you can trust saka and salah to deliver but we cant say they had better performing season than foden so far
Sorry someone tell me what I'm missing why is Foden seen as this Messi God type player what has he done for this??? And better than Saka how and why?? Saka has been insane for club and country and consistently he also didn't need someone benched to stake his claim, he also didn't need a system change to be impactful. Foden and Saka are both generational talents. Foden rising up to be a star in the best team in the world over the last 5 years is impressive, but Saka rising in a rising team to be the best player is amazing too.
When Foden doesn't score or assist he is still involved in the game. When Saka doesn't score or assist he can be a bit of a passenger in the game.
I remember watching the Arsenal game at Portos place and when that left back stopped Saka from cutting in. It locked up 99% of Sakas game.

It's interesting that Foden for the first time has had to step up close to what Saka has had to do his entire career and the manner in which English fans will go to trip over themselves with praise for him is jarring.
Foden is only now shouldering a comparable burden to what Saka has been hefting for several seasons now and the sycophantic adulation for him is all too eager. Saka has been producing incredible numbers in what was a bad to middling to good but naive to now elite Arsenal side; all while moving from left back to right wing for both club and country. Foden has been ensconced in the most pristine footballing environment his entire life while Saka has had to bear the brunt of Arsenal's and England's shortcomings. Not only has Saka risen from each stumbling block but he's actually developed even more as a leader and player while Foden has been handled with kid gloves. There has been no world class midfield maestro to lead the way like KDB or once in a generation talent like Halaand to break records and blaze a trail. Saka has been his own catalyst and mentor while routinely delivering infallible numbers to back up his credentials. Yet Rory with the most shit eating grin gleefully exempts Saka from a list that he most assuredly should be on .
So no Van Dijk.. Man has now set his bar too much to be noticed now I think.
this was just basically a foden vs saka debate
Saka been consistent past few seasons. Foden has shown he can be a part of the the city squad and perform. He has turned up more this season but he was supposed to when de bruyne was injured in the past seasons and hasnt. Saka has just done more for Arsenal than foden has for city. I can agree Foden looks good and is technically a bit better than saka but they both very close than alot making it out to be.
As an Arsenal fan my player of the year at Arsenal is Odegaard.
Not enough stats for Turkish and all the idiots who don’t know ball
Saka and Rice have been better, stop being daft
@@straightshooter8751 We just have different opinions. I watch every Arsenal game and you watch only results and socialmedia.
It's crazy how many players could've actually been there. Any top 5 would be great. Imo there were really only 2 statements that were too extreme. One was Rory saying Saka isn't close to Foden and then Turkish saying the league is in a rough place if Foden is the best player 😂
Also...this England team...needs to win the Euros. It's ridiculous how much talent they have.
Rory is actually insane 🤣
This should be called 888biasedsport
Foden outside the city bubble is bang average at international level
VVD is so clear he’s not included in the vote I see?
They said Saka had a quiet first half of the season. Performance-wise maybe, but during that quiet period Saka still able to produce more G/A than Foden. You can have opinion but to say Foden is clear is ridiculous.
Arsenal fans were talking about teams Doubling up Saka all season being the reason why Saka hasn’t been performing as well as last season, Arsenal score a 100 goals in 5 games and all of a sudden Saka has been amazing all season? Have we forgotten how Arsenal fans wanted Ivan Toney cause the attack wasn’t good enough? 😅😅
From mid September to mid October (5 games) Foden played 424 minutes only getting 1 goal contribution against West Ham, Nottingham Forest, Wolves, Arsenal and Brighton if Saka did that Rory would want him lynched
Big up Turkish is all I'm gonna say 🤜 👊 IF you know, You know..
How Salah and not VVD! Trent is injured but he was their best player until then.
Sakas quite part of the season he was still churning out atleast 1G/A per game
Van dijk🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I usually look forward to listening to rory but today i am disappointed with him.. saka has had a patch in the season where he wasnt on form yet still crucial to arsenal.. foden has had periods of the season where he has been hot and cold also yet as it currently stands saka currently has 2 more goals over foden and 1 more assist. How on earth can you justify foden being the best player in the league when his stats say otherwise. Turkish is right.. putting foden at top is crazy.
It's not often this has been said, but Rory is spot on
There’s a difference between being the best player and who is having the best season. To say Foden is having the best season isn’t a mad take, to say he’s the best player is.
City's players gets so disrespect by opposition fans just because they are a well drilled team and usually doesn't have memorable moments.
I have seen it for years people rating Liverpool players who are all washed now all above city but yet city are the most successful team in Europe along with Real in the past decade.
They literally don’t get disrespected are u serious literally top 2 of all of these except Turkish (since he ‘s an arsenal fan ) has been Man City players it’s arsenal players who gets disrespected despite being good
@101notfound17 Arsenal's players gets the hype they are good but sometimes it's absurd. These city players have been doing it at the highest level for the past 5 years they should be clear of any Arsenal players in my opinion.
@@samkkx they only get hype bcoz of arsenal fans and since arsenal fans are almost everywhere on a huge number whereas city ain’t got that many fans to hype their players but that doesn’t take away the fact that literally every rival fan acknowledges city players brilliance and literally everyone calls em the team with the squad by a mile in the world
Coming from an Arsenal fan; the idea that Rice has any chance of winning the Ballon D'or this year is idiotic. If England win the Euros it will be Bellingham
Playing Devil's advocate; What if Arsenal win UCL and PL, England win Euros, RM lose to City in the quarters. Surely Rice would have a chance in this case?
There are 5 English players that can win the Ballon d’or this year.
Jude, Rice, Saka, Foden & Kane.
It is still possible for 4 of them to win their league and all of them could win the UCL.
If England win the Euros It’ll likely go to one of them.
Jude is definitely the favourite but to say that any of the others winning it is idiotic is an exaggeration. There is still too much to play for.
@@Milnos106 yeah, thats not happening
Why is big Gabi not in the list
vvd is top of this list
Having rice above rodri is the height of stupidity
Foden is easily the best player in the league. Better than Saka by far. He took over the De Bruyne mantle and stepped up and now city are on course to win another treble. without de bruyne for most of the season. madness.
i dont understand where you get your stats guys, you dont even do research i guesss, Foden has 1 goal and 3 assists in the first 9 games, saka has 4 goals and 4 assists and he missed the game vs city and you say he had off patch at the beginning of the season, if you are all not so biased the best player this season so far is ollie watkins but he doesnt play in the big 6, he has 16 goals and 15 assists 29 games and playing in a aston villa side fighting for champions league.
Rodri or foden! Rice or saka don’t even get close sorry! We have an undefeated player here, considering arsenal give “invincible” so much value
Rory is crazy saying 1) Foden has been WITHOUT A DOUBT the best player this season. It can’t be any city player not named Rodri. And 2) that Saka is FAR BELOW Foden, that’s crazy. Foden is a stud, along with Saka, but they are neck and neck while Foden plays in a signifantly better side. His argument is insane.
Rory with shocker after shocker. He probably really wanted to have Bernardo Silva at #1. Rory was chatting the same Foden-type nonsense last season about Rashford when he had 1 month of form 😂
How is no one talking about that Rory put Watkins 3rd over salah, saka and rodri
Probably because he is the the player with the most goal contributions this season?
