      Those brush tutorials tend to confuse you a lot.They make art look something very technical.

    Wow, thank you. I used to always use one color and then a darker one for shading, but I see how much better it looks when you layer colors rather than pressing hard.

      Emmy Kalia I have neither the experience, nor the variety of colors you possess. May I ask how to make skin tone with ... this is embarassing, with pink and yellow and orange and red, one shade each? Btw you are a pro. My applause.

    Thank you very much for this tutorial, and for the variety of skin colours, and tones. A lot of people when they do a "how to" on skin colour and tone usually only colour white people, or light complected people, the variety here is nice thank you very much for this, Emmy Kalia!!

    Thank you for this informative tutorial. I began watching this thinking that I would learn some good color "formulas" for each of these skin tones. The most important thing I learned was to take a lot of time to closely observe all the colors within different parts of the face or skin, and that it takes lots of practice to do well. Everyone is unique, and so is their skin tone. I appreciate the time and effort you put into making this to help others. It is very much appreciated.

    Great video especially showing the colors written and highlighted as you use them. This is the most helpful thing I have seen in any tutorial as the speed drawings are sometimes difficult to figure out otherwise. Thank you so much for this as I am just getting into faces.     One day I hope to buy the more expensive tools but currently I have regular faber castells classics and not polychromos and only a 23 set of prismas but when i used them I ended up getting a pretty good result. This was very helpful.
