Good vid about the Vararam intake system. Less of a "How-To" and more of a "Why-Not". I still hadn't pulled the trigger on this set-up for my '04 C5 base. But instead opted for a cheaper aluminum dual filter set-up. Why? Because in physics when you take two columns of air and combine them into one column, the air in the single column has to speed up for the two columns of air behind to flow. This is in effect how water pipes work and water pressure is created; large water pipe outside the house flows into a small water pipe inside the house, and the water in the small pipe has to speed up to flow. It's just physics. So in effect I like to think it causes a small supercharging effect during full throttle acceleration. For anyone wondering what that black box with the orange sticker is by the intake tube, it's a Lingenfelter "97-13 DUAL ADJUSTABLE LAUNCH CONTROLLER ; RPM LIMITER.
