Utilities and the Urban Watershed - Turtle Bay Exploration Park and Ideum

Turtle Bay Exploration Park, the City of Redding, and Ideum worked together to create an engaging digital exhibit about city utilities and the urban watershed.

The project team created a fun and robust digital exploration of a watershed and the city utilities that depend on it. Starting with an interactive map, a visitor can toggle utility infrastructure on and off, search, and call up more information about points of interest. Media viewers present images, videos, and text about city services and the local watershed. Custom animated scenes present problems to be fixed in and around a home. Finally, visitors may make pledges to protect the watershed and utility systems.
