Good video ...and channa dal is a good healthy staple ....but heating the oil to the extent of exceeding the smoking point is no fun . It breaks the oil and can cause cancer.

It depends on what oil is used. If its ghee then no problems and if its mustard oil then its a must heat it to smoking point to take away the bitterness. And it could be dangerous if you are not confident. I've done it at my home kitchen many times.

@Baba Ramdev I am residing in a city. The water supply from the pipes come with all sediments , so when our water purifier gets serviced we can see all the dirt coming out which is orange in colour. We are also using water purifier with 2 candles in it. We put boiled water in it and the same orange colour dirt will be visible, the candles will have a sticky goo on them which goes after cleaning.
