August 2023 Miami, Florida Vacation. Day 1: Arrival Day

On this day, August 3rd, 2023, I began a week-long trip to visit my father, my younger sister Isabella (from my dad’s side of the family when he married someone else after he divorce my mom. Long story, don’t ask), and my older sister (my first sister from when my mom was married to my dad).
I did a bunch of activities with him, went to various restaurants for various meals, went to various places, and just caught up, since I haven’t seen Miami since moving away to Davenport, Florida in August 2019. I will say it was very good to see him again, and this trip was practically flawless.
We only planned back in early July 2023, and since the “Brightline” train was not opened as planned just yet, and it wouldn’t open until late September 2023, my father had to give me plane tickets to fly me from Orlando to Miami and back. But yeah, I’m gonna tell you all about it starting with this day.
Basically, in the morning, I woke up and did my morning routine, had some breakfast, finished packing up my suitcase, laptop bag, and duffle bag, and I took a “Lyft” from my house to “Orlando International Airport”. Then, at the airport, I checked in my big suitcase, went through the TSA security checkpoint with no issues, and took the correct monorail train to my assigned terminal building, Airside 3, and waited at my sign boarding gate for my flight to Miami.
Then, I boarded my flight, buckled up, and then, after a while, we took off into the sky. After only 40 minutes and no refreshments due to it being a short flight, I landed in Miami, Florida. Then, I went to the baggage claim area, and I met up with my father, who was waiting for in a white zone pick-up spot.
We then caught up, talking about our lives together, as he drove me away from the airport, and first, to a local “McDonalds” restaurant for a lemonade for me to drink, and then to a “Publix” grocery store to buy food for me for the week.
After shopping and buying all the foods I needed, we tried and failed to get my shattered screen on my phone fixed at a phone repair shop, but we couldn’t due to a lack of parts available. Then, we finally arrived at the house.
I settled into the small guest bedroom that my dad set up for me, and after unpacking for a bit, I enjoyed a lunch via a custom-made sandwich from “Publix”, and a bag of “Durritos Cool Ranch” tortilla chips. After lunch, I did some more settling in.
At around 5:00pm, dad and I went to a restaurant called “The Big Cheese”, an Italian-American restaurant exclusive to Miami! He had our favorite dinners from there ordered as takeout, and then, we went across the street to an ice cream parlor called “Wall’s Ice Cream”. We ordered our favorite pints of ice cream…cookie dough for me, and mint-chocolate chip for my dad.
We then went back to the house, put the ice cream pints in the freezer, and enjoyed our takeout dinner while we sat the dinning room table, which faced the living room TV set, and we watched an episode of “Kitchen Nightmares” called “Amy’s Baking Company”.
I had the 6 chicken tender and French fries basket with some lemonade, and before that, I enjoyed some fried mozzarella sticks and garlic bread as an appetizer. Finally, after dinner, I had my cookie dough ice cream pint.
After dinner and the episode screening, I did my nighttime routine, and got ready for bed. Tomorrow, we planned to go to the zoo, "Zoo Miami", instead of the beach, and moved the beach to another day, suggested by my older sister.
