Love Irish and RP. I’m in the US so I think each accent has its own charm and subtlety so thanks for showing the community many different examples. 🙌

Hi Tom, I must say that I loved this video. I definitely prefer the RP accent to any other, and the main reason for it is because it's easier and clearer for me to understand what people are talking. Thank you

Thanks for the comment! I wonder if it's because RP is the one you've heard the most?

British accent is the best. I dont like American English as well as their accent. Some of the British actors accents are my favourit which are Ray Winstone, Michael caine, Bob Hoskins, Peter O'Toole, Ralph Fiennes and James Mason. I like James Mason accent very much.

The harder to understand, the sexier it sounds to me. So some Irish and Scottish accents.

"Nivver" is "never", "hard" is "heard", "t'reet" is "the right" and "marra" is "friend, pal" or kinda. "Thoo" is supposed to be "thou" and the only thing that i don't understand is why there is "s" with apostrophe.🤔

To answer your question 6:10 The most inspirational teacher in my life was my A level English teacher Afsar Khan Shamim- there was never a dull day in his classes,he always regaled us with witty words and had great knowledge on everything of this universe.I really enjoyed perusing the reading materials as well as tackling the A level English question papers.
Always encouraged his students to step out of their comfort zone and to take challenges of life without fear. This one A level course changed my life drastically and I never had to look back, not only is Shamim sir a great teacher,he also helped me select the best uni to do my undergrad so based on his suggestion I got admitted into the best private university of Bangladesh in 2016 and now an English graduate.
All the credit goes to him and his effective teaching and guidance.I pray for his long life, good health and happiness.

Hi teacher Tom, I don't know which accent is the best, I like scouse maybe because it's so unique and distinctive (...btw I actively support Liverpool, hope they win the league this year!!) even if it's SO HARD to understand.
    Happy easter!

Thanks for the great video. With each of the accents you mentioned, I feel like a kid in a candy store. So intrigued by each.
As far as a heart-pounding, wanting to rip off clothes, sexy accent, it's Cockney, by far.

I agree, the Irish accent deserves first place. In second place, in my opinion, the Welsh one followed by the RP accent. Cheers!

Are these really just "accents" or downright "dialects" already? In German, for instance, there is a clear distinction between the two, not sure about English though ...
