- A short demo video of the Cotton wash program. The laundry load includes 10 T-shirts and 4 Jeans Trousers. The whole video wash program has been trimmed to 5 minutes for keeping the video short. The sound from the machine is not modified in any way. I placed a small pot on the top of the machine to sense vibration. The rubber feet does a great job of keeping the machine in the same position, without allowing it to move.
Note : I have used the wrong type of detergent in the demo. (used a top load detergent instead of front load detergent powder). Front load powder needs to be used for this machine.

Hi! Yes. The time to complete shown on the machine will be longer than actual time. Its because the complete wash cycle is dependent on several inputs like water pressure to fill, heating, load of the clothes etc. And hence the time ticks slowly to adjust as per the progress. soap powder residue is seeming in flesh out water often after washing. what is the reason. I am using LG front door 6 kg machine.
Can we put cotton clothes on denim or other options, because the time for cotyon is 3 hours. With power break down it becomes 7 hours

Just power on the machine. On the touch panel, press the spin button. Press it again to select and cycle thru the different spin speeds. Press start button.

Hi there! Thanks for your kind words! I think there are 2 ways. First one is to put the machine to spin and catch the water from the drain pipe. It can put in only spin mode by powering ON the machine, press the Spin option on touch panel and the start button.
Second way (i have never tried this), is you can try to drain water from the front drain filter compartment. It is located on the front side of the machine (right bottom side). Open the lid and there will be a small pipe with a cork or stopper attached to the end of the pipe. On removing the stopper, water should free flow out of the machine. No need to power on the machine. Make sure you have switched off the machine if you attempt to try this. Water may spill out, so watch out for that!

Hi! Please follow these steps. 1. Press Power on button. 2. Press the spin speed button on the touch panel. Press again to choose the required rpm. 3. Press Start button.

Hi there! Looks like you are waiting for the Amazon sale! My experience so far has been good with the product. No issues so far. Washes good. No vibrations or machine movements or loud noises. Been a year or little more than that I guess. But, I have seen many complaining about vibration and noise problems in the machine. I really don't know what is the cause or extent of vibration and noise and if that was normal or abnormal, as I haven't seen it in person. It could be real flaw or it could be an installation issue. If you see the reviews of any machine(any brand), you will see few customers complaining of problems and few happy with the machine. So you many want to take a call on buying the machine based on your comfort🙂. I can only help by sharing my honest and unbiased experience using the product. I have lost track of the latest models in other brands. I would recommend that you visit few local dealer and get to know the features and new models in person. (thats how i did before buying this machine). Do an analysis back home and then decide on the brand and model, and buying either online or from stores. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching 😊

Can you lower the time being wash?
One doubt. Can i wash comforter in this machine. I dumped my king size comfortable inside my LG washing machine. It occupied full space of the drum. The went on washing more than 2 hours and showed an error code. I had to hard stop my machine. Is comforters cant be used in washing machines ?
Hey there! I dont have comforter to try. But I have put pillows (synthetic...not cotton), fleece blankets, woolen rug. It worked and washed fine. If you put soaked items into the machine, it will run forever as the time is dependent on the initial weight of the clothes as soon as its loaded. Hence, if i put soaked clothes, I put the 1 hr wash in downloaded program and it usually completes in less than 60 to 90 minutes.
Not sure of your error or the long running of the program. Hope this helps!
This machine shakes a lot when the drying stage comes on??? Can u explain. Ive a seperate stand of this machine and when it shakes, it moves away from it original position.
Hi there! You can try these measures. Dont use stand, as it will not keep the machine stable. Keep the machine on the floor and also make sure it is levelled properly. Next, when you load the clothes, put the clothes one by one and make sure its distributed evenly. And we should not overload the machine with too much of heavy or too many clothes. Hope this helps 😊. Hi there! Your video was very helpful as I'm new in using washing machine. My machine sometimes stop or show error message in the middle of a wash programme. This usually happens during rinsing. Pls do you have any idea of what may be the cause?
Hey there! Sometimes water inlet filter at the back side may be clogged with dirt in water. You can unscrew it at the back and clean it.

My mom's washer and dryer plays a tune like that when the cycle is complete. And they play other sounds like that also! But the brand isn't LG, it is Kenmore.

Not manually. We need to connect a pipe provided at the back of the machine to the tap. Water automatically fills into the drum when the machine starts.

Hi there! No, I haven't had any problems with water temperature. I usually put cotton program, and the temperature it selects by default for this program is 40 degree Celsius. I have once increased the temperature, and did verify that it was indeed heating as i could feel the heat by touching the drum door. Perhaps something wrong with your heating mechanism in the machine? Thank you for watching!

What is the use of steam option in washing machine. What is the power consumption per wash?
There are 2 steam wash programs called 'Baby Steam Care' and '.Allergy Care' . I have not tried either of these. Will give it a try sometime. However, As per manual, Baby Steam care - it removes solid and protein stains, provides better rinse performance. Suited for lightly soiled baby wear.
Allergy Care removes allergens from clothes, such as house mites, pollen and cat fur. This is suited for fabrics such as cotton, undergarments, pillow covers, bedsheets and baby wear. Hope this helps!! Thanks for watching :)
Can we use quick 30 mode for washing clothes of full load? Will it effect machine?
Hi there! I don't have any 30 min wash on my machine. Instead I see a 15 minute wash program. Haven't tried it. But as per the user manual, its suited for small loads of clothes (less than 2kg) that are lightly soiled. Need tk put less than 20gms of detergent, else it will remain in the clothes. Hi there!! Thanks 😊. Hope you/service engineer removed the mounting bolts, that are attached to the drum. These are attached, to ensure drum does not move during shipping. They need to be removed before using the machine. If this is taken care, then 2nd cause could be due to the use of stand for the washing machine. Its recommended not to use any stand as it will make the machine unstable during spin. (I guess you might not be using the stand as well). Hope you are not overloading the machine too much. I cant think of any other reason for vibration. Could be some other fault in the machine otherwise..Thanks for watching!
Mine too. It'sso noisy and it vibrates a lor. I removed the bolts. I also don't have anything underneath it. I tried to fix the legs numeorus times and i don't overload it. The drum it vibrates so much it's driving me insane😔

Hi. Recently bought a FG 1612h2w. Every time it started to spin it make a short loud noise like wobbly. Did asked technician to come and have a look at it but he said the noise is normal.
Hi there! Not sure whats the extent of vibration and noise. I'm sure you would have checked my video and seen how my machine performed. Its still operating with the same behaviour. No problem with my machine. If you have kept any stand, try removing it. And also ensure the washing machine feet is levelled on the floor surface. Also, there are few bolts that support the drum during shipping. They need to be removed before using the machine. Hope the installation guy removed it for your machine. Please check the user manual. Nope. Unfortunately We can't set any timer. You can try the 1 hr wash program available in the downloaded program. (using app). This program will usually finish the wash in 1 hour. It almost resembles the cotton program cycle.
Was also wondering on the time.. because it takes a lot of time
Run a Mix cycle with Time Save option without cloths then pause and press add cloth, open door, put cloths (within 4 or 14 minutes before machine get off depends on model), close door and press play/pause button, now the time will be shorter.
U can try save time mode it wash only 45mins
Hello Sir, I have bought the same LG washing machine for 3 years so far. Yesterday my wife, put the selecting knob on " mixed" which is supossed to take 1.23 hours to complete the washing cycle It started doing its job but as there is yet 39 minutes left, it did not continue any more If you can Sir, please tell me what is the problem might be. As I told you before it is a brand new LG washing machine

Hello Sir, The wash time may vary as per the load of clothes. Regarding the machine stopping with 39 mins left, could it be due to no water in the overhead tank? Or if the inlet hose filter is clogged with dirt, water may not fill in, and it may stop during rinse cycle due to no water. Perhaps if it showed any error code when it was stopped, you can check the manual for error code. I cant think of any other factors that could have caused the stoppage. Yes. Thats true. I sometimes use 1 hr wash (downloaded program using the app). But for a good wash, i think 1 hr may be necessary. It has to heat the water as well while washing. Hence it may consume more time.

Please, I would like to know the programs that you use, i.e. for white, light and dark colors, and winter clothes such as wool, silk, kitchen and bathroom towels, and the appropriate temperatures for each type of washing, how many rinses, and how strong the squeeze is.

Thank you for the demo! But does it spray water when it is rinsing? Because that's the only way to remove soap completely from clothes, unlike the top loading machines they don't have this option.
From my observation, i think only if the turbo wash option is selected in the wash program, then the spray happens during rinse cycle. Thanks for watching!!

As far as I can see. You’ve loaded the whole machine with your clothes and there’s seems not enough room for the clothes to get mixed and cleaned. Don’t you think overloading the machine with huge sim will effect the results since the clothes doesn’t have enough space to rinse properly. It’s just occurred to my mind.
Hey there! That was a good observation. Yes, I think i loaded more clothes into the machine. Perhaps a little less would have been good, as it gives some room inside the drum for the clothes to tumble and wash properly.

Water supply should be on during full wash cycle or we have to switch off after sometime.
Water tap should be kept turned on during the full wash cycle, till the machine completes the full cycle.
Does these Washing machine need to be fixed on ground? Also do we need machine to increase water pressure? Does it really give visibly good wash compared to top load?
It has to placed on the ground, on its feet. Use of stand is not advised as it will lead to more vibrations as it may be unstable. I use an over head tank and it is placed 30 feet above the ground. Washing machine placed in ground floor. Its working fine and I dont see any issues. I dont use any pressure boosters. Regarding wash quality, yes. It is much better than top load. Time taken to complete the wash is a bit longer. But does the job goos. I have an LG top load machine as well. It consumes more water as well than front load. Hope this helps!

Hi there!! Thank you. Its been a little more than 2 years, since I bought this machine. So far so good. I did not see any problems so far. The vibrations and performance has been the same as before. I still have not yet done tub cleaning/descaling. I need to do it before anything goes wrong :). I think repair costs should be reasonable. I have got my microwave repaired last week from LG. Switch problem in the door. They only charged labor fee for around Rs.350, as nothing was replaced. Parts differ in prices, so difficult to comment if its expensive or cheap. Honestly, I have not explored much in terms of options, after I bought my machine. So, I am not sure of the latest models, and how good they are. Perhaps, you could check out other brand review videos in terms of the features and performance.
I mainly went for this because of the direct drive. I also saw a demo in the stores. Washing is dead silent. I had IFB Senator also in my mind, before buying this. But, I just went with LG as I got good deal, and also I liked the direct drive and the Wi-Fi connectivity features. Honestly, the Wi-Fi feature is not not really worth. I dont use it. Just for notification of the wash completion on mobile is good., so that you can go and take out the clothes. With LG, they have extended service/warranty contracts, beyond 2 years, for additional 3 years, for a price. Also, for senior citizens the extended warranty contract price is even lower. Not sure if they have these contracts even today. You can check with them when the guy comes for installation. I have heard from other viewers complaining of lots of vibrations and sound, and machine moving sideways as well. But, I dont have any problem in my machine. Its rock solid in its place. Expected levels of vibration and sound during spin, not too much. Hope this helps.

Hello Sir. I have also seen it showing 3.5 hrs. If you put soaked clothes and then start, it will take the soaked cloths weight and increase the washtime. In such cases use "Download cycle" option and download "1 hour wash" using app. This is similar to cotton program and washes clothes good. It will complete in 1 to 1.5 hours max. Hope this helps!

Very well explained..nice video.. I bought same model recently. I'm facing lot of white lint on my clothes and the colour fades off in two three washes.. There is a white kind of residue on clothes after wash.. especially t-shirts and soft type cloths.. using cotton mode and liquid detergent only.. do u face this kind of issue?
Hi there! It could be because of hard water or usage of too much detergent or overloading clothes. I haven't had this problem anytime. Perhaps you may want to check the hardness of your water once.

I see that in your video from 5.37 to 5.55, the washing machine is making noise during the rinse cycle as well as during spin cycle. Is this normal? Or an issue ?

Hi!! I believe, that is normal sound. Infact, my earlier washing machine used to move slowly around 3 inches. This does not even move a millimeter.
Even today, it is performing the same way, shown in the video. During wash, it is dead silent. Only during the spin you can hear the motor spinning and the vibration sound. The best way to avoid unnecessary slippage is to use double side tape below the rubber pads (if you don't intend to screw them in floor, which is not recommended). I have the same issue of machine moving due to vibrations. It helped a lot.

Hi there! Water is added via a hose pipe, connected to a tap. Hose pipe attaches at the back of the machine (top portion) . Water draining is also via a drain outlet pipe, at the back. A drain pump, pumps water out thru the pipe. The end of the drain pipe can be let into a sink or into the bathroom chamber. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching 👍🙂

You are using wrong detergent already,its surfexcel top load detergent it produce lot of suds and unable to rinse properly in this machine,use surfexcel front load liquid (purple bottle)
Hey! Thanks for the info. After reading articles on the internet I understood that, for front loading washing machine, we need to use high efficiency low suds formula detergent. Hi there! I usually use the cotton program. However I think vibration may be due to many reasons. If the load is too much or if you have not levelled the machine properly, it may cause vibrations. Also we should not use any stand at the bottom for keeping the washing machine. It should be kept on the ground. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

Hi I am using this lg machine from 7 yrs it was already sent for service due to rat bites . Now, some days cloths after it gets dried completely in sunlight it smells very badly. I consulted my local service person he suggests me to use descale powder .After doing this also some times smell will be there.i use surf excel matix f and comfort liquid and also from past 15 days music is also not coming .pl suggest me what to do..
I bought same Machine with 7 kg capacity,don't use stand to avoid vibration,it's very good machine and clothes get try almost 60-70 Percent, vibration is less as compared to other brands

Dear Sir, I was checking the differences between the model that you mentioned and my machine. I found that, the wash program "SPEED14" is missing in your model. Also, Wi-Fi feature is not present. You need to use NFC to communicate with the machine directly, if you want to use the "Download" feature or perform some diagnosis. And it is 7kg machine, and mine is 8kg. Other than these, features are most likely the same. Regarding the pricing, I dont have much idea. From my experience, company showrooms are a bit expensive. Local dealer showrooms can give you a better price. I tried searching for this model on amazon and flipkart. But i think this model is not listed. I only see the other model FHT1207SWL. Hi bro.. I am not using stand. The installation guy told not to use as it will not be stable and might cause vibration.
You can try levelling the stand if it is not levelled properly. If still vibration, then try removing stand and see. Make sure the ground is even.. no slope etc. And the machine stand on all the legs without any gap between floor and leg.

Hi there. About the error codes, it is basically used to diagnose a problem if it happens. I have not seen any error codes so far. I think it will appear only if there is a problem. Hopefully it should have some description to understand the error.
Regarding the problems faced - so far i have not experienced any problems. Only thing i have noticed is if i put already wet clothes for wash, then it will sometimes show 3 hrs completion time in the display. This is due to the weight of clothes soaked in water. One workaround I have discovered is to use the download cycle and select 1 hr wash. This program completes with in 90 mins and has same wash features as the cotton cycle. I'm getting problem that all powder detergent doesn't goes down, some portion still remains in that dispenser tray. So, what can i do??
hi there!! May be, the tray needs some cleaning? so that the powder can slide off, when water falls over it?
I hope you are putting the detergent in the right compartment. May be you can try put the detergent a little deeper inside, away from you. I use liquid detergent. Dont see any remains after wash. Yes, we can turn on only spin feature. Press Power button on the machine, press the spin button on the touch panel. Press repeatedly to select the spin speed. Once spin speed is selected, press the start button. It will initiate only spin cycle. Hope this helps!

Hi there! That's right. That is the drain pump filter. Lots of dirt and small particles from the wash gets collected here. You can clean it and screw the cap back. The residual water comes out. You can keep a tray or something to let it out. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching 🙂👍

Yes. Even i get that some time. I usually get it if i add already soaked clothes. Since it has water content already, during the initially weighing process, (before the wash starts) , it considers the load to be high and estimates higher time for completion.
Hence if i have to put soaked clothes, i put the 1hr wash (downloaded) program. This completes the wash in 60 to 70 mins. And this washes same as cotton program (same spin speed, hotness of water etc). Hope this helps! Thanks for watching 🙂

Hi! There is an option called "Pre-wash" that allows loads to be pre-treated prior to actual wash cycle. This may add some time to the overall time of the cycle, as it may perform a short wash, rinse and drain cycle. The detergent dispenser has a compartment to add detergent for a pre-wash setting. There is another option called 'Delay End", which actually starts the wash cycle after a certain period of time. For this option, I am not sure, if the machine will draw water and soak it during the delayed time, or it just waits for the delay time to get over and then fill in water. I have not tried both these options yet on my machine yet, and got the above info from user manual and LG website. Hope this helps!! Its pretty heavy to lift. I am not using any stool beneath. The guy who came in for installation told me not to use any stand, as it may not be stable when kept and may cause the machine to vibrate more. Not using a stool or stand means difficult to clean beneath 😑.

Hi! There is a pipe from the machine connected to a tap or to an angle cock. The tap is kept always on. When we start the machine, the valve inside the machine opens and water flows inside the drum. When done, the valve is closed. Hope this answers your question. Thank you for watching this video 🙂👍
