I mean where do they come from originally? You always hear of people catching them from somewhere but is it actually possible for a room to be so dirty that bed bugs suddenly spawn?
Bed bugs are like lice, you get them from someone who has them and your personal cleanliness doesn't matter since all they want is your blood and a dark place to hide (like under your sheets or in your box spring or a mattress seams.) a dirty living space will attract other insects but usually the kind that'll eat rotting food, not blood suckers. I will say a dirty space would give them more places to hide and harder to kill but that's not why they're there.

As someone who suffers severely from depression and anxiety, my room gets severely worse than these people. I am severely lonely. Last night I threw out, I shit you not, eight full bags of trash. My room still has much to clean up. It gets bad. Someone's room reflects their mental state. Hope they feel better soon with whatever they're going through. Was still a fun watch.

This reminds me of a time, years ago, when I was in a group chat with some gamer friends. The one girl of the group lived with her sister. The sister busted into her room yelling at her. She forgot to mute her mic, and the whole group could hear the argument. The sister yelled at her for her room smelling of piss, because she wasn't cleaning her cat's litter box. The sister also yelled at her for the piles of dirty dishes in the room, with mold growing on them.

Like all the trash within signt. Another time all the dirty dishes. Or laundry. Just cause it causes me anxiety to try to get down to surface level all at once cause thats a bunch of different steps. Like trash, dishes, clothes, move everything that's supposed to be there, scrub with cleaner, vacuum, move everything back...ugh.

most of the time when people's rooms get this bad it's because of depression, depression can REALLY fuck you up and can make people not feel the need to shower, clean their room/house and just generally look after themselves, worst part is that deep down you know you should but you just have no energy to do it and that makes you even more depressed, it just becomes a never ending cycle unfortunately

Depression will do this. I had such a bad depressive episode and my house was disgusting. Then when I asked for help from my exes family they called me gross, lazy, and refused to help because it should be my job. People not having sympathy doesn't help when it comes to depression.

My gaming set up used to be a wooden chair, a laptop, and a mouse thats a couple decades old. Luckily for me my girlfriend bought me a new mouse a bit over a year ago. So now when i use the mouse on the side of my leg due to lack of table, its a functioning mouse

A couple of years ago I broke a gaming addiction (still love games but I’m not terminally online), and finally knuckled down and stripped the room bare. I threw out 22 total black bags of trash, and it was evident I had a mouse infestation. I’m not proud of it, but I acknowledged I was in a terrible spot in life and took steps to change. The change is difficult, but it’s not impossible, to start.

My 15 year old brother is exactly like this, he's gotten better luckily, but at one point I could barely stand to walk past his room to get to my own room, he had dozens of piss bottles and rotten food everywhere, we had fruit flies for months, worst part is he doesn't have a door and my dog was constantly trying to get in his room to eat the food he left sitting around, me and my dad are at our wits end at this point
