Stands to reason! You give some great advice here regarding ambush location vs. pattern. Thank you for enduring the warm temps. Where I live in the mid-west, this would be spring turkey season and maybe early bow season for deer. On bright sun shining days, I try to stay aware of where the sun is, how it is hitting me, and where my shadow is. Another lesson I learned some years ago was to keep an eye on my gun barrel as well. I had a big gobbler dead to rights...until he took off as hard as he could go. I wasn't sure what went on etc. After replaying it over in my head for about 10 minutes, I realized...my gun barrel on my shotgun was reflecting the suns light and he must've saw the movement from it. I started using a shotgun with a matte finish that doesn't reflect and haven't had the problem since. (Or I'm more aware of it.) Again thank you for sharing.
You hit the nail on the head! The ditty I learned for camouflage was COMPSSST - Color, Outline, Movement, Position, Shape, Shadow, Shine, Texture. Positioning yourself in a shadow with something to break up your outline will make almost any camo work as long as it is reasonably colored. Great video!
Thanks for the comment. And i will pass your ditty to the Camo Matrix viewers. And credit you. For the animal world, if you have time to set up for them with that in mind, they will never see you.
great video🙌 I'm not really sure if it is the best time to ask but, I was wondering if I could help you edit your videos and also make highly engaging shorts out of them
Great video and advice about camouflage! I hope people will use our gear but regardless, what matters is people are getting out there to hunt and get up close to wildlife undetected
Sounds like a great idea. From what I can see, they see like an ungulate; not the best clarity and have 300-320ish degree fields of view but see color like we do
Kryptek Altitude is my all around favorite. Any of the original Kryptek patterns, Highlander and Mandrake, seem to blend very well. All I know is Sitka sucks. Sticks out like a turd in fruit bowl.

Great information. It is amazing at how the sun can make you or anything you have on contrast the surroundings and make you look out of place.
I always tell people that the sun can be your ‘frienemy’ for sure

Oh ghuillie my favorite
Can you do a video/review on the Veil Flagship X? I’d among others would greatly appreciate it!
Here is my simulation on that pattern: czcams.com/video/S-BHtB6dvgc/video.html
It is also now in the Camo Matrix tool: CamoMatrix.com
sitka timber works well all over CA for me from big game to waterfowl
Good info. Cali has a huge range of landscapes to work with.
That was Realtree Hardwoods not Mossy Oak 7:55. But the Ghillie suit looks great.
You are correct! Great Eye. That was a glitch in the Camo Matrix. Hard to find now unless it is used.
great video🙌

Field craft is way more important than camo. Plain tan outfit works well in most places. If I could have just one camo, British Army MTP.
Absolutely. Nothing beats knowing the forest, knowing your prey and hunting smart.
for no particular reason, I'm going to research how kanagaroo's vision works, they are very dumb animals lol
