Forget about the camo type, they all do just about the same thing. What deer notice most is movement! That’s what there brain reacts to instantly! Time your movement to only when he faces away or eyes are blocked by something.

And the best camouflage is....blaze orange!😅

I think a 30% blaze orange would work well. Something with a large leaf pattern.

Wild turkeys have amazing vision, hunters know that. Their vision is so outstanding scientists still don't know exactly how good it is. But what they do know and what most hunters don't know is, they see in ultra violet as well as normal color hues we see.

I would like to see this demo with a ASAT 3d suit or a snow pattern. When i get busted wearing mine the deer will almost seem to look thru you, doing that head bob thing trying to figure it out.

Valo seems really versatile especially as brown as most of my seasons in Texas are. Have some bow hunting in evergreens coming up next month and been trying to avoid adding some verde pieces. Seems like valo can hold its own in all green environments but verde seems to edge it out in some specific situations.

My father in law wore a complete blaze orange camouflage suit religiously when hunting. He had deer step over his legs when sitting on the ground under a tree. Crazy!

Low bright colors. And don’t move around. Camo is really not even needed.

Deer see movement easily due to shades of grey they see, color has zero effect. Second as mentioned in another comment, they know the area and if one thing is not normal they know it.

Man, i think that I need to invest in some Orange camo. The Orange vest by far blended in with the foliage the best.

Meanwhile our uncle's , grandfather's , older friends and Fred Bear wore an old plaid flannel shirt and some woolen pants , leather work boots ..all stuff they already had and harvested their game without spending hundreds on all the latest Gucci flauge ! You can spend all that cash , thousands on gear , you're being harvested by the manufacturers who know more about hunting you than you know about hunting deer !!

have you ever or would you if you havent, do a woodlands snow camo in a video like this in the tree stand?

A couple of things stand out, first is that some patterns are totally inappropriate for a forest environment, and second, some of the classics like Mossey oak and World War II are still very good.

You stuck out like a sore thumb.i try to find a tree inside the woodline with other trees behind me to help hide my body more.the higher you get the less the deer will spot you.and yes it depends on certain things as to just how high you can get and still see good.if its open enough ill get as high as 40 feet.thats with a climber of course.

The thing that stands out is the hunter from the tree. Looks very unnatural I can see why saddle hunting could be a better option as you’re up against the tree or even behind it somewhat as well

Snow camo works well if there's not much back cover.

I wish they made camo with alot bigger spots. Seems the camo just looks more like a solid blotch.

I wear camo cause i like it and it looks good in the field. My best friend wears blue jeans and usually a brown hoody unless its cold then he wears a camo scent blocker camo suit just for warmth and we both kill deer. It doesnt matter. I also got a buddy that turkey hunts in blue jeans and always tags out. So it doesnt matter.

Funny thing is that deer know every tree, stump bush and Rock in their territory and if something is out of place they see it so without something to break up your silhouette they can peg you, not as much from elevation but on the ground.

You look as if you could be part of the tree, until you moved. Also maybe camo the edges of the stand with branches or leaves as that really sticks out.

I bet the natural gear blaze orange camp looks almost looks invisible in deer vision

Camo is overated and its more for the hunter than the deer ... the industry capitalize on profits from promoting all these different camos for deer hunting and the camo is not functional in regards to deer vision ... you can kill deer in brown carhart suit or green/ brown pants & flannel shirt !

Please do vintage duck camo !

I've found that VINTAGE DUCK 🦆 CAMO is the best camo in every setting and it fools ducks eyes very well and it also fools a deers vision aswell, it blends and breaks up your outline and makes deer look right through you from my 30years experience wearing vintage duck camo ... it blends , spring , summer, fall & winter ! Im sure it will work well for turkey hunting or anything you hunt if you want concealment & camouflage...

I got the vias… I’m gonna stick out a little, but damn if don’t look good while sticking out lol.

Ive been standing 10 foot from 4 deer wearing strata in open small pines with no undergrowth and they didnt see me.

In my experience is this pattern does very well in sage country I've hunted in Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico. I have also found it does reasonably well in PJ country in mid to late season hunts. I do think the most important thing to do is avoid silhouetting yourself regards of camo.

I'd argue that they're pretty similar in most of the woods ones except there was one where realtree kinda beat out the strata. However the strata seemed to be more versatile because it seemed to kinda beat out the realtree in the more mountainy areas. Realtree blends extremely well in woods, but strata isn't far behind and seems more versatile. So I think it just depends on if you want a camo that is really good at being versatile and good in the woods, or a camo that is really good in the woods and good at being versatile

On the tailgate side legs, you could bolt a round steel pipe between them and then carve out a half round groove in the bottom of each side of the frame where they fold back up. Then you would have more stability and be able to pull the back legs down as one piece.

Wait until you find out deer are color blind and even the best camo still ain’t gonna hide a poor set up with no back drop
