My baby had two favourite songs in utero. I felt her move three weeks earlier than is usual, and it was in response to one of those songs. Later on when we were tracking movement frequency, and it had been too long, we would play one of her favourite songs and she would start spinning to the rhythm without fail!

Not only from records or the radio, but my mother is a classically trained pianist. My love of this beautiful music resonates with me every day! I listened to classical music while I was pregnant and still played it after he was born. He was and still is fond of the Nutcracker Suite. He is 26 now and still listens to clasical music at times.
same here!! my mom used to play the same Mozart cassette since pregnant with me, and I loved that cassette to bits... it used to calm me when I was having night terrors, and to this day (I'm 36), the overture to The Magic Flute is one of my most favorite and nostalgic music pieces ever :')

Once you have kids, you'll forever miss the time they were a baby. It's so surreal how those little beings exist. How fleeting their state is. Those little precious miracles. You come home, you pick them up and take care of them. It's the best thing in the world.
I grew up with my Dad playing/practising the piano after putting me and my sisters to bed. (I never fell asleep right away so I always paid attention to what he was playing.) Best memories, and best way to go to sleep. Your baby will absolutely remember what you play!! Even when I don’t remember who composed it, I remember the music. I recognise many of those pieces even today. They’re as familiar as a sunset. ☺️
My father played the guitar so for me, it was listening to him play and sing.

I appreciate that you subtly have covered your child’s face. You struck a fantastic balance between showing a beautiful moment to the rest of the world and keeping your kid safe from creeps, something many struggle to do.
Having done my share of baby wearing, I didn't even notice that particular part (but you are right - good move). While they are young, you start with the sling material supporting the head (obscuring their faces, too, I guess).
Baby faces are unrecognizable in a few years. What can creeps do with a newborn's face. Take a loan? What is this nonsense I keep reading?

That’s adorable! You are training his musical ear despite that he’s a newborn. Playing to baby like that will engage the musical section of the brain. Sing to baby too that will also develop his musical brain. Even singing or playing to a baby in utero can develop their musical brain. Congratulations on the new baby!
