    Hi thanks for the info. What do I do if the rear valves don’t close or worst bent?

    • @BrickHouseBuilds
      @BrickHouseBuilds  Před 2 lety

      That would require further investigation. Probably cylinder head removal

    Trying to get mine to start, I crank it with no start but when I out some fuel into the carbs it fires a bit but doesn't idle any tips?

    • @BrickHouseBuilds

      Has it sat for a while? Does it try to pop off with the choke on?

    • @Theninjadeathhawk
      @Theninjadeathhawk Před 3 lety

      @@BrickHouseBuilds its sat for two years, so I took apart the carbs and cleaned them, drained the old fuel and put new fuel in mixed with carb cleaner and with the choke on it'll fire up a little bit if I put a tiny bit of fuel in the carb

    • @BrickHouseBuilds
      @BrickHouseBuilds  Před 3 lety

      @@Theninjadeathhawk Unfortunately it still sounds like your carbs are dirty. Specifically the pilot jets/emulsion tube and mixture passages. Unless you had them ultrasonic cleaned its almost impossible to get them clean enough. Also, mixing the fuel with cleaners like that is not likely a good idea.

    • @Theninjadeathhawk
      @Theninjadeathhawk Před 3 lety

      @@BrickHouseBuilds okay any suggestions? Should I take to a shop to get done because I don't have an ultrasonic cleaner, or is there another way to clean them

    • @BrickHouseBuilds
      @BrickHouseBuilds  Před 3 lety

      @@Theninjadeathhawk First can you confirm that you are getting fuel to the carbs? Be sure its actually flowing past the petcock as in 2 years the inlet filter could be clogged. Confirm fuel to the carbs and if there is, then start thinking about getting the carbs professionally cleaned

    So what did you end up doing about the ignition switch? I have just picked one up and the ignition is a little finicky. Seems to be old OEM. I see those kids on eBay and Amazon for like 35 bucks. Is that the kind you grabbed? If so, and it didn't work, where would you suggest I find a good replacement?

    • @BrickHouseBuilds
      @BrickHouseBuilds  Před 2 lety +1

      I apologize if I didn't cover it clearly in this video as it was probably the 4th video I ever made. I did use a basic kit from amazon/ebay with no troubles. I believe the one in here was from the wrong bike but I ended up getting the correct set

    • @fairplayer916
      @fairplayer916 Před 2 lety

      @@BrickHouseBuilds oh cool. Yeah 8 most likely just misunderstood. I came from the ignition switch video straight to this one and though you were refering to the one installed in that video as being bad.
      But yeah that's good to hear. I just picked up a 2005 sv650 that needs alittle work. Among other things, the ignition switch is finicky. So I figured if those $30 kits worked well, I'd just swap it all out instead of trying to rebuild the oem one.

    What did you do to get the new ignition to work

    • @BrickHouseBuilds
      @BrickHouseBuilds  Před 4 lety +1

      The switch that I tried ended up being for a different Suzuki model. I had to order another switch for the correct model.

      @@raymondmejia5972 The ignition is straightforward as in my video. Tamper proof bit, move the headlight, unscrew, unplug, reinstall. The rear seat latch is not bad beyond just fishing your hand in there
