What separates City from the rest of the league comes down to Pep and they way he prepares his team. More than any other team, they live in the moment. They don't ever look ahead or allow themselves to think about the game coming up next week. They play that way too. working hard until the final whistle every game no matter the opponent. If a player doesn't work hard until the final whistle, that player will be watching from the bench. They are the standard. If you want to beat City, you have to match that intensity every minute of every match. Arsenal has come close. Liverpool have come close but no one has reached this standard save Manchester City. If it took perfection and playing silky all the time then the great teams of Liverpool,Arsenal ,Chelsea ,United would have done it. That’s why no one won 4 EPL in a row. No one can be perfect through out the season talk less of being perfect for 4 years, what are these guys on about 😓. During this time other teams figure you out and you have to constantly come up with different ideas and solutions. The level of consistency these City side has shown is incredible not only in the EPL but also in the Cup games and Champions league which they go really deep into the tournaments. Arsenal played beautifully this season what do they have to show for it,Klopp ran his players to the ground like he does every year before the league even starts,No wonder Pep always says “let’s do it for ourselves and our people “ .. yh he is right … whatever anyone says fact remains 6 in 7, a treble and 4 in a row 😂.. I tire of the critics that say “yes but if he wasn’t given the best players ….” The bottom line is he still has to put together a squad that can play at a CONSISTENTLY high level and keep them motivated. I recommend anyone that cares take a look at video of his training sessions and you will see WHY he is the best coach in the game. And yes I do think he could take a lesser team and make them competitive. He takes top players and makes them better - he has proven that over many years.

There are 3 things that go in common in football which is death taxes and Manchester City winning the Premier League. It’s what they do these days and no one is surprised that they won the league again. Pep Guardiola is so good of a manager to the point where he’s actually turned the best league in the world into a “farmers league”. When a team has won 6 titles in the last 7 years, that level of competition in any league has diminished. They’re one of if not the greatest team we’ve ever seen in English football. This is the exact sort of dominance we’ve seen from Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga and PSG in Ligue 1, what these guys are doing in a much more tougher league theres no difference. They’ve just become the first team ever to have won 4 consecutive league titles in a row and yes on paper the league is still competitive because some of the league titles have gone down to the last day of the season, but from a long perspective, Manchester City are dominating the league year in year out. Sir Alex Ferguson has never done what Pep has done and imagine if his legendary Manchester United team were competing against Pep’s City team. By the way I’m talking about prime Manchester United not Erik ten Hag Manchester United or any other United team post Ferguson. Even in a season where we had 3 teams competing for the title, they still won the league. You can say that a certain league has a high level of competition when after 38 games are you really surprised that the same team is lifting the trophy. A lot of people say that Ligue 1 is a “farmers league”, but guess what PSG and Manchester City have won the same amount of league titles in the last 7 years which is 6. This is total domination and as long as Pep Guardiola is still coaching Manchester City I don’t see anyone stopping them from winning the league. From the 2017-18 season the Centurions where they accumulated 100 points in the premier league, their treble winning season in 2019 and 2023 to them being the first team ever to win 4 consecutive titles in a row, under Pep, Manchester City are competing against the same versions of the different teams that Pep has assembled.
They show no signs of slowing down and they haven’t lost their hunger at all because 12 months after winning a treble, they won their 4th consecutive league title. This is a team that has the greatest manager of all time with unlimited money and some of the best players in the world you expect them to dominate every year as no team in the premier league can realistically compete with that. There’s a misconception that they’re only successful because they spend a lot of money and it’s just not true. In order to win trophies and strengthen your team you have to spend money the right way. By this logic, Chelsea should’ve won the premier league in the last 2 seasons as during this period they’ve spent more money out of any team in the premier league. They’re just so good they have this inevitably about them and once they peak it’s game over and they do this every single year. From going on these 10-15+ games in a row winning streak to hitting form at the right time, they’re a relentless winning machine and Arsenal despite accumulating 89 points, it wasn’t enough for them to win the league this season. There’s a growing concern about the trajectory of the premier league and it makes sense as a lot of people are tired of seeing City win every year and other teams need to compete with them and Liverpool and Arsenal need to step it up even further because it’s not a great look for the league with the amount of titles they’ve won in the last 7 years.

This line of argument regarding Pep gets a lot of traction. It is mischievous to make it an EITHER / OR kind of argument. There are various facts which can be and are true at the same time.
Fact - Pep is a great Manager. ONE of the greatest and the best right now.
Fact - But outside of the once in a generation Barca team with the likes of once in a generation players like Messi, Xavi, Iniesta and others, he basically did nothing out of the ordinary until he came to a financial doping powerhouse in City.
Fact - He builds great teams and plays a scintillating brand of football most days. No doubt.
Fact - But without that financial doping of City, he would not have the resources to build his team and keep refreshing them at the pace he did/does. He'd have to do it how every other manager in the world has to do it. It would take more time. Which would mean he wouldn't win it as consecutively as he did. There would be trials and errors as every other manager but Pep faced, because he had the luxury to buy players for eye watering sums in same positions and then replace them immediately if they didn't work. Other managers have to live longer with their failed signings, but Pep doesn't.
Fact - Some of the athletes in other sports caught doping were great athletes in themselves too. But in elite sports of thin margins, the significant advantage of doping makes all the difference between winning and losing.
Fact - Just like athletes in other fields, financial doping at City gave Pep - an already great manager - an illegal and insurmountable advantage which was impossible for other great managers to match without the same luxuries as Pep.
FACT - So yes, without financial doping and without the luxuries of the squad bequeathed him by financial doping, they'd still have won the PL title on and off (which City anyway won before him) and maybe the Champions League too. But they'd not have won it consecutively and probably not won THE treble either. He couldn't do it at Bayern of all places.
FACT - He will be considered a managerial great but his trophies at City will always remain tainted. A scandal of this magnitude in sports has never been run in such an organised manner by such a powerful organisation (backed by a state with its monetary and diplomatic might) with such success for as long as I can remember.
FACT - Nobody else would have won the league 4 times in a row other than Pep is like saying 'Yes he might have cheated and had an unfair advantage, but nobody could have won the Tour De France 7 times in a row like Lance Armstrong did.. @Utd Defense

You don't understand the meaning of farmers league
Farmers league implies that only one team is excellent while the rest are mediocre ( i.e farmers that only play on the weekends while working as farmers during the weekdays )
It's not really the case in EPL
      There are many competent teams
City is just better than the other teams that already good
