Looked a great camp and a solid first test for the tent, waterfall looked ace too, will have a bit of a search around for it next time I'm down there. Just got all the gear together I need for wild camping, will be doing my first wild camps in the Mournes soon. Hopefully see you out there at some point!

Great FP drone footage. Looks like a rugged place to camp. I really miss camping, especially in the woods - haven't done that since my early 20s. I can't believe how far behind I am, 3 months worth of videos I still need to watch!

Just back this morning from a solo overnighter in the camper at Bann carpark in the mournes and an over nighter the previous night with the Mrs and buddy in the camper at Ballintoy. No stopping me now the van is done. Great to sit and watch your vids when I'm chilling in the van in the evening. Cheers Stephen.

1 - Americans don’t know what welsh is. When zorro the movie came out, I remember being super excited because I thought there was finally another Latin American actress besides salma Hayek. Until I found out she was welsh. I was the most disappointed I’ve almost ever been, especially since I had no idea where Welsh even was.
It was great to see you joking around with your buddies. For some reason Irish and Scottish people are some of the most naturally funny on earth.
Good on you going to all the lengths to get the drone shots. I raced all weekend with the 2 world champs of multigp and espn. Broke 3 ESCs and 2 flight controllers but at least didn’t have to warm my lipos with my body

I literally done the exact same route you done ere only I went to the waterfall at bottom of Ben crom along dam edge. Hav agood idea now were secret waterfall is. Great vid as usual.

Um why aren’t there any trees? I’ve literally never imagined camping anywhere but in a forest.
There are no trees up in the mountains here. Might have been a long time ago, but not any more. There are some forests, but they are lower down.

Cut down hundreds of years ago, although today I don’t think the soil is very good for trees.

Have you had a chance to test the tent further? I'm looking to buy a lightweight 2 person(for solo use) tent within the next couple of weeks. Right now the Big Agnes Copper Spur UL HV2 and the Telos TR2 are on my list. But there is no place in my country to actually see the tents, so quite interested in hearing more about your experience. Or if you think there are better two person tents to consider?
I really like the tent and have kept it and sold my older 2 man. It’s not ideal for windy conditions in mountains, so will only use in good weather, but it’s very lightweight and has great features and very roomy for solo use.
I’ve actually since purchased a Terra Nova southern cross 1, which is heavier but it’s more solid 4 season tent which will hold up better in the conditions in this video.

Got rained on fairly heavy during this but wasn't for hours at a time. It's highly rated for rain so should hold up well and a deep bucket floor.

this is the regular Telos, not the Telos Plus, Im soon to get one. How did the standard hold up in the colder weather being its not the one rated for colder weather. The colder rated ones are still two months from being on the market.
It held up better than I was expecting. Probably went down to about -1C, I was grand. Although if given the choice, I’d probably take the four season for that weather.

I've seen another review where this tent failed due to moisture/condensation and wet floor.... none of that with you?
So far no, just a bit of damp from where the rain got in when I was pitching but didn’t notice condensation the next day. I need to test it more though!

After 2 years how did it hold up or you only used it once
It’s a great tent for mild weather and loads of space inside. But I’ve only used it a handful of times as most times I’m camping I either am trying to fit onto a small pitch or at camping in windy conditions.
@@StephenJReid ok thats what i hear not great in wind sea to summit want me to test new version bikepacking one basicly the same design just short poles and nicer package fort bikepacking ..i skip it thanks as i need a tent to handle world bikepacking tour
@@Bikepacking I’ve been using the Terra nova laser compact 1 for bikepacking. Better suited overall but quite a small tent

Software bug, since fixed but a couple of videos have had this.

Does my nut! I’ll usually come back down with one or two bits of litter. Usually leave anything organic though and I draw the line at underwear! Wasn’t even my size 😛
