I wonder how you manage to keep all your fingers with your style of treating the saw
I like this guy, he seems honest and cheerful 😉
Thanks for sharing! It is what it is, so just don't push it too hard and it will live for many years.
It sure is small...lol
Just a baby, but it makes saw dust, and that is the idea.
I'm new to woodworking but I heard it's a no no to back the wood out while the machine is on as it can catch the blade and pull it off the wheels exactly like what happened to you?
have a look at some band saw set up vids. I run my blade so the the teeth are just out over the rubber on the wheel. Then you have blade guides inside the bottom casing and in the bit that goes up and down blade guard. the ones left and right must just kiss the blade and also the ones at the back. If you dont set it up you will get the sparks. My boy played around with mine it wouldnt cut straight and I got sparks lol..
Oh the spanner is probably to tighten the drive belt. I think it will be alright when set up. Yeah shitty push stick I got one with mine.. For that money its great man.
Thanks, I did get it running good, cut a bunch of very thin strips and they were all straight as a line, it small and limited, but for the price....
I need to get a bandsaw. Especially a small one. Thanks.
Me too. For my wife.... (I'm writing a crime novel :))
A nice little toy, but should not be used to reenact a crime novel...
lmao..
Congratulations! That ting is perfect for cutting pork ribs :)
I like the way you think. lol
Sounds like a good idea. :-)
Exactly what I was thinking
Big like!👍👍👍👍👍✅💪Felicitări! Great video 👍
Thanks.
think the spanner is for the nuts on the fence..And i have been thinking about getting one only to cut meat,, eg,, cuts of meat and bones,, do they sell bigger ones ? and can you get more blades for them ? Great vlog by the way,, helped alot for what i am thinking of doing,,
I am sure you can get bigger, blades should not be hard to find, these are used all over the world.
From what I see I agree but good to play with. It seems most manuals are junk these days. Best wishes Bob.
There are pages of cover your ass in that manual, and no real information.
I also live in Thailand and was considering the saw. It seemed somewhat better than the junk they sell on Lazada. I want to cut 1” up to 3 “ hardwood. Primarily for cutting curves in the hardwood. Would you recommend it for that? How do you like it one year later?
IMO this saw is a piece of junk, I don't even use it anymore. The motor is way to under powered to do what you want. If I were you I would be looking for something with a lot more power.
@@workshoplife3740 do you wanna sell it? Must be better than my jig saw
Curious how long it lasts.....let us know how your projects turn out!
If I don't use it, it will last a long time...lol
Workshop Life : lmbo 😂
I'm really surprised that the fence locks at a proper right angle so well and quickly!
Yell me too, seems to work good now I have the hang of things. cutting free hand is still a bit of an adventure though.
German name but not necessarily made there. It's a cool toy for the price if you're doing little craft projects maybe.
Let us know how it lasts.
I am sure it was made in China for the price, that doesn't mean it is not a German company, Made in China doesn't always mean crap. This thing does seem very cheaply made though...lol
Nice saw, but your pushing to fast and laminated wood is not ideal as the glue will dull the blade. I am glad you found out how to adjust the blade guard, it needs to be just slightly above the thickness of the wood you are cutting. There are or should be bearings or bearing blocks behind and to the sides of the blade to help with blade flex, flexing the blade is dangerous. If the blade is flexing you are feeding too fast. Ply wood is hard on band saw's but you can cut PVC pipe and soft woods best. I have two bandsaw's and i would not be without one, they are great for quick small cuts. PS don't over-tighten the blade just adjust your feed rate, the blade sounded tight enough. Ply woods and hard woods will dull a blade quickly, so you will need some spare blades. They have limitations but are very useful if you don't expect to much from them. Cheers.
Thanks Kevin, appreciate that. It did not feel like I was going to fast once I got the hang of it but something to keep in mind.
the germans used to make some high quality stuff that seems to have changed over the years hmmmm.
I have a German Engineered, made in Italy, stove, and oven, Both junk, and there were the most expensive around at the time with very good reviews...junk...lol
@@workshoplife3740 I have a Mercedes ML. Bought it new and thinking I was baying a German car... but no. It was Made in The USA, deep south Tuscaloosa, Alabama. If I know this I would rather bought a 14 foot alligator. It's a pc of sh...
The funniest part 9:58 :)
No where near setup correctly and you should always try and exit a cut not reverse out of one. As someone commented below I suggest watching some bandsaw advice videos.
That was an accident waiting to happen!!
i need a band saw to cut up moose meat.
There you go...lol
I have this saw I must say it’s junk
