Okay this is going to be a long description! A few of you had asked about doing a trouser video a while back but at the time I didn't feel like there were too many styles to really show and compare that I hadn't already tried on in my past videos. Recently when I started searching for trousers I noticed they had released a bunch and so here we are! Trousers are an essential in my wardrobe and I'm always on the hunt for the perfect pair. In this video we will try on 20 pairs of Aritzia trousers whether you need something for the office, school or just to freshen up your wardrobe this season.
Also note that a lot of the pants/trousers do come in different lengths and materials. Double check the description to make sure you're picking the right ones! Items marked with a * are ones that I liked the most out of the try-on specifically on my frame. However, personally for me I'm looking for high waisted pleated wool/wool blend trousers.

Taupe Beige pair shown in the regular length has a stronger green undertone to it compared to the photos online. I really liked this pair in the wool blend material but like I mentioned depending on where the inner lining hits, it may rub against your knees when you walk. I would personally get the regular length instead even if it means having to alter the length because the lining is longer and doesn't rub as much.*

@@brookeward7047 they don’t have mirror in the dressing room, you need to come out of the dressing room. They have a big communal mirror you have to share with other customers who are also trying out the outfit.

Kudos to being detailed with how the pants fit on the waist, hips & legs. I have a narrow hips and slim legs, and those you mentioned to be tight on your hips are the pairs that I'll be trying on, such a time saver! ❤
Consider this the unofficial petition to stop creating crepe material pants lol. I think there is a time and place for them but they're not as versatile as a pair of wool/wool blend trousers imo especially for fall/winter. Glad you found the video helpful!!

This was a great video. Very helpful. Im curvy around the hips with a smaller waist so I think Vogue, Carrot, Dashwood, Cabaret, Alanya, Pleated, and Dion might be useful in my (new) wardrobe. Looking to sport a more polished professional look going forward. Thanks for your time with this.

So I’ve been really into tweed lately I would style it with a basic t-shirt/bodysuit and a tweed cropped (but not too cropped, but waist ish) alternatively a waist length body cardi but in a thicker material to balance the thickness of the pants.

I’d say the wool blend material is slightly thinner so it has a softer flow to them compared to the poly blend sustainable material. To the touch though they’re both “soft”.

They’re not bad for spring and summer, just ever so slightly on the more delicate side!

Not for me! It depends on where you want the hem to hit. I preferred the regular length on me because the short version was too cropped for my personal preference (made my legs look shorter). That being said it also depends what size you ordered, as you go up in size the length will increase slightly as well.

Girl I feel you.. I wish I could pull off low waisted things but some silhouettes just work better on some than others which is OK. However, curves are beautiful and we need to find ways to embrace them! Wear what makes you feel confident and rock it!
For the pleated pants, which colours are tighter in the waist?
The rich cocoa fit tighter for me but it may not always be the case. I’ve tried on another pair in the same size and they fit tts.
As a short girl, I love low waist and mid rise more than high rise. Even though, the rule says short girls look better in high rise. I feel like high waist SWALLOWS me. 😂
Fair enough, you should def wear what makes you look and feel good! Some rules are also meant to be broken anyway ;)
would you compare any of these to the bea trousers(without the weird crotch drop 😭) from the frankie shop?
Hmm..I would say the carrot, dashwood and effortless are the most similar to Bea trousers because of the pleats. But the material and length of each is the main difference and I prefer the fabric of the Frankie Shop ones over the crepe. I still think the Frankie shop trousers are worth trying if you have a longer torso but they were just overly baggy for me!
Is the brown colour you model Pleated in not available anymore? I don't see that colour choice online just wondering if I am missing something!! TY
The brown pair is in the colour coffee bean, if it's not showing online then it's likely sold out :/ but you can always check in store or sometimes they restock certain colours! I actually exchanged mine for the heather rich cocoa colour and prefer that shade!

You're lucky that you can get away with longer inseams though, I'm also the same height but I always need hemming an inch or two even in the short version for most of these pants 😅
Oh trust me it’s incredibly rare but when brands offer short lengths it does help slightly. I’m still getting majority of my bottoms hemmed!

They’re not completely see through but definitely on the sheer side i.e. you can see the outline of the pockets. You’ll definitely have to wear seamless nude underwear to make them work.

I loathe the crepe fabric. On the light colours, the fact that you can’t get a crisp crease down the centre always makes it look like they were pulled out of a dumpster.
