This was a real highlight. Tanote bay is the best place for snorkeling on Koh Tao we have seen to so far. Beats even Koh Nang Yuan in our opinion. Enjoy this little video.
Great video and glad I came upon it. Would love to know what time of year you were here as we are going to be in Tanote Bay in end of June/early July 2025 and someone said the water can be too choppy to snorkel. We are bringing our 8 and 11 year old for that very reason so would be great to know.

June/july is hard to tell, we have never been in that period, it is light rain season but there is still a lot of sunny days from what we hear so we hope you have great weather. We are going back in october (worst monsoon month) so we will see how that looks then :) Tanote bay though is the most family friendly of them all, apart from Sairee Beach of course. Not al lot of sharp corals immediately, lots of fish and great food!
