To be fair, the commonwealth mutants seem to be a LOT more intelligent than their capital wateland counterparts (apart from fawkes) and the generation 2 mutants from west coast. Not quite the level of gen 1 west coast mutants, who still possess most of their human intellect, but still enough to hold discussions, change their minds based on the outcome of said discussions and at times even simple forms of philosophy. Hell, one of their fighting voicelines literally is "you humans created us and you will pay for your hubris" (wording may vary, I didn't play it in english)
I guess teaching each other with singalong lines isn't above their intellect

Only to get caught after they got the Shakes. Can't remember if that's what it was just call in Fallout or if that's like the legitimate real world medical term for the disease of when you eat raw human flesh.

@@CrimsonNecron well if someone 'gets the shakes' it's more a description of a symptom than the actual disease name. Although if shaking was a symptom the cause is probably something similar to Kuru or Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (mad cow disease). Those essentially slowly turn your brains and tissue to mush by causing proteins to not work like they should, causing:
Dementia that gets worse quickly over a few weeks or months
Blurred vision (sometimes)
Changes in gait (walking)
Confusion, disorientation
Hallucinations (seeing or hearing things that aren't there)
Lack of coordination (for example, stumbling and falling)
Muscle stiffness, twitching
Feeling nervous, jumpy
Personality changes
Sleepiness
Sudden jerky movements or seizures
Trouble speaking
and muscle spasms and shakes too
