In this challenge video, I tried sports betting for 1 week as a complete beginner, figured out if it was a good way to make money online. I found a betting guru who uses sports betting strategies as a side hustle. I was trying to see how to make money with sports betting, so I paid for his premium tips, and tested the 2023 strategy out for myself, to see if I could make money online by sports betting as an investment. In this 1 week sports betting challenge, where I found the guru from a TikTok side hustle video, it was a rollercoaster of profit and losses, so you can see for yourself whether paid sports betting professional tips are a good investment!

Yes. This was pretty entertaining especially for someone who is looking into getting into the hobby for fun. I used to gables csgo skins and realized it was kinda a problem and stoped immediately when I was still in the green and then went further by renting the skins out for some passive income and that’s also fun to look at the graphs and earnings on a day-to-day basis.

I love sports betting, the key is singles, a large bankroll, living below your means, and having no bills! I moved to Brazil and I make majority of my money from sports betting, if I put 1k on a single the payout is enough to live comfortable for the month in Brazil

First time I bet 1k, the team I didn't picked made the craziest comeback in history of sports and I was winning like 95% of all my previous bets... lost 1k with 1 game... since then I lost around 3k and I recently lost my job and I don't know what to do now to win again like before

I started betting in September, 2023. I bet on the MLB only and picked 7 hits per game. I started with 150. By the middle of October, I was up to 18k. It can happen!!! I did a ton of research prior to placing my bets and of course, some of it came down to pure luck. It's a pure blast and I can not wait until 2/22/24!!! I've tried basketball over the past two weeks and have had zero wins. Baseball is where it's at for me. Nice video!!!

I might be a minority here, I’m not addicted to betting but I’m quite good at it (I only bet on rugby as it’s what I know and understand). I’d say I’m addicted to winning tho 😂 and I don’t stake much, my standard unit is $15, I started with $5 units like 7 years ago but I’m profitable to the point that I’ve got the confidence in my strategy to increase stake. So I don’t bet much money, and I’m disciplined with my money, even though I’m winning long term against the bookies I don’t think they mind losing to me as I’m not taking big money from them. It’s just a bit of fun for me, however I still do it to win, I hate losing!

guys I hope u realise that this is not a good reliable and stable flow of income. Always to treat gambling as a hobby and don't try to make it your main source of income, and remember if u are going to gamble only gamble what u can afford to lose and prioritise having fun from doing it if it doesn't bring you job or satisfaction don't do it.

Straight bets pay the bills, parlays boost the bankroll. Stay dedicated to appropriate unit betting and you will slowly grow your bankroll over time

Here’s a tip, you should have place like a smaller amount of money on the parlays and place the exact same bets but in straight bets that way you get money on some of the bets that hit in the parlay
Parlays are awful, usually just put the change on it, if i do happen to put a large sum of money on a parlay it wouldn’t be more than a 2 leg

It’s important to know that sports betting is not a reliable get rich quick scheme although you can get lucky.. that being said the real successful bettors are committed to the daily grind & stick to their betting principles which include minimal parlays & utilizing boosts & bonuses. Straight bets are generally the way to go & you need to be finding the best value on odds. You should never be laying more than -115 on any bet. There’s a lot more that you learn only from experience. Only bet what you can afford & stick to your regular unit sizes.

Pretty well said. When I first started I was guilty of those sicko multis just adding a bunch of head to heads and naturally lost most of them. But I got back on track by just betting handicaps and lines on my sport. I don’t bet big money, but if I did I’d say I’d be limited by Bet365 pretty quick. I’ve been doing it for 7 years or so and I’ve made probably $3k from it in profit (it’s not much but this is starting from $5 stakes, and now I’m at $15 stakes). But it’s definitely something you need a lot of financial discipline to be successful. If you have good knowledge of a sport you can definitely be profitable as long as you don’t let greed get in the way
Saying never laying more than -115 is silly. What if you project a team to win 70% of the time and their ML odds are -150? You'd be throwing money away to not bet them.

Yeah if you do it again over a months span try and find someone who does straight bets only instead of parlays it will be much more consistent over time rather than one leg ruining a whole parlay and a days worth of profit
The $280 profit doesn't count the 2 bets you failed to play for $70 and $100+. Still, this is way more than what you should expect. A good pro makes 1-2 units a week. Theoretically, a winning parlay player would have much higher variance.. so your 10+ unit win in a week is reasonable.
You sound like you know what you're talking about, so I have a question. I am sure I am not the first person to have thought of this, but wouldn't it be a consistent way to make money by betting on both teams on games that have ability to draw?
I've been betting on the team more likely to win as the means of profit and since the other team has a higher payout rate since less people bet on it I can bet a smaller amount so if my initial bet loses I can break even, rinse, repeat.
I know there's a chance of a draw and both bets will lose but if you bet on teams that aren't super close in skill it's not very likely correct? So is this a good way to bet as long as you're not using a large % of your accounts funds correct?

Try reverse line movement. That really works. Especially if it doesn’t make any sense why the line has moved. If a percent of people are betting on one side and the books shift the line. They know something because they always make a profit
so bet under the line always?

@@bemci1975reverse line just means when everyone bets for a favorite and the book has a difference opinion on that outcome, they change the odds right before the game. Like if the yankees were to be favored by 3 to win which everyone bets, but the sportsbook moves that number to 2, you bet the 2 not the 3.
Or lets say your parlay guru guy says "take steph curry to get 3 rebounds" you would take him to get 2. It's a way of trying to lessen the odds against you.
@@Sabinistic If everyone was betting the yankees and they were favored by three (And this would never be the case in baseball, but in basketball or football it would) they would move the line to three and a half. Are you saying you would try to buy points down to two or two and a half, or are you saying you would bet the other team and take the three and a half? Either way, the books don't know anything about the outcome, they just know they need money bet on the other team, that is the main reason lines get moved.

I’m slightly profitable each month sports betting. There’s been a few strategies I use to stay slightly profitable. Set a limit of loss per week. Don’t emotionally gamble. Rely on your statistics and keep track of all of your bets. Look at why you lost your bet. Use the promos as much as you can. Sports betting is kinda hard to get into and is challenging to see profit with. Learn the basics of sports and get good at math and you might be lucky.

Player props is where it's at. Better chance in parlays with em too. Money line bets with Baseball and Hockey can kill ya. Better if take the puck line in Hockey on close games as about 30% of games are upsets not to mention others that stay within 1.5pts. Otherwise player props best as the player can get his Stat even when the team loses.

Baxter matey, what about learning the market yourself? It takes a while, and you'd do well to specialise (e.g. I focus on heavyweight boxing).
If you did all of those bets as single bets versus parlays you’d be up a bunch!
there are a lot of free discord groups, obviously at the end of the day no-one really knows the outcome but this isn't about sports it's about stats and chance but like everything you need to do it in moderation
Withdraw any decent profit as you win, just leave your bankroll in there.
And you'll continue to deposit once ur balance runs dry, doesn't really matter much.

TBH I would never EVER bet on a sport you don't have intimate statistical knowledge and resources on, AND also want to watch to get a "feel" for team and individual performances.

Last year (2023), I made $6600 just in profit from UFC/MMA betting & absolutely 0 loses, from Golf betting $1780 0 loses, and boxing I made $1000 profit 0 loses. I think betting is not for everyone, specially if you are not a OG fan or actually play that sports.

There's a ton of professional sports analysts on TV that can't pick games against the spread to save their life, let alone winners with no point spread involved. Many of those even played the sport at a hall of fame level for a decade or more.
A lot of sports wagering is just pure math and statistics. Also, I don't know a ton of basketball but I do slightly more than break even. I know plenty about baseball and even more about hockey but it's way harder to make money at all, especially with player props (which are those parlays he was showing). Football is most people's go-to but the season is too short, so they have to supplement it by putting money on other things the rest of the year.
