As a 62 year old woman, I didn't think I would enjoy it but I wanted to give it a chance as it has a black cast, but to my surprise I really enjoyed it.
It is very well written and the acting is superb. I love the way it has been shot- very cinematic. London looked beautiful, even the rough areas. I am very much looking forward to season 2

I was just scrolling on Netflix and came across this show. I'd only planned to watch the first episode...6 hours later, I'm still sitting in the recliner 😮 This show is a Keeper❤
it's 4am here in dallas tx and i just finished binge watching the 6 episodes. I had to see who Rapman was to give props. I can't think of a more well written and thought out super hero series. I don't know how this interviewer didn't ask when we can expect season 2 though...
Exactly! It was so incredibly well written...and believable! Not corny discoveries or popped out womb sprouting wings. Nothing wrong with that, but this was a super fresh take on superheros from a common sickness among black people....I loved it!
Just binge watched all 6 episodes, now taking a break while making another round of popcorn before start watching them from beginning. No sleeping tonight! This is worthy .

I didn't realize the cat was almost completely black until the 3rd episode. It's a really well written show with fleshed out characters. Reggies background reveal showed why he moved the way he did and it was understandable.
Binging through episodes right now! Amazing to see an all black case and even better is seeing and recognising all the places the show was shot in. Burgess Park and Camberwell, Bermondsey Flats that are just a short walk from me. Really cool to see on screen.
Only 2&1/2 episodes in and I'm HOOKED! Came looking for an interview as I had not previously heard of the series, but SO glad I found it. Immensly entertaining and completely relevant to some important social issues that need more awareness. Already hoping for a season 2.

This show was amazing couldn’t stop watching! It really resonated with me. And interesting to see how we have a shared black experience.
I think whats good about Taze, is he's not just some random lex luthor villain who comes out of nowhere, he was made, and he wasnt made by bad parents , thats a lazy conceit, he was made by society and hustling to survive as a young afro-english man in a society that doesnt care about him, leads him to the path he's on. I feel like theres a redemption arc starting up, excited to see where this leads.

He said it took 4 years to make this show, which is only 6 episodes. That's why the quality is so high. My hope is "Hurry up with season 2!!!!!" outcry and any pressure from Netflix itself are ignored so we get another quality season.
A good example would be Mad Max Fury Road, then Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga releasing 9 years later. If another MM film had been churned out 1-2 years after Fury Road we wouldn't have gotten such a beautiful film this year.
A really well done stuff. Well written characters, well written story. The whole thing is consistent, well acted out and plot-driven. This is how you write tv shows.
I also liked attention to detail, especially where it comes to linguistic side of it.
Lastly, I appreciate the fact there is no bend towards virtue signaling in this show.
Bruh i sat and watched the show all the way through i couldnt even take a break between episodes. The show is excellent and its great that its so relatable even being from america i can still relate to the cast its awful that we are all going rheough the same things in life no matter where in tge world we are but its dope that we know we arent alone and we have brothers and sisters that can relate to us thousands if miles across the ocean

The first black super hero I saw in a film was Hancock back in ‘08. I was disappointed because he was drunk and homeless (not surprisingly). But a black Avengers show? I’ve never seen anything like this. Also, Rapman didn’t butcher the narrative that blacks are gangbangers. Sure, he included it, but he also offered the alternative black lifestyles which aren’t too different from whites (just less opportunities). This is the perspective that other black shows don’t offer. I look forward to season 2.

The wind woman when they brought them in and the other one was white, spud is white and he’s on the good side. The movie portrays both good and bad sides of humans whether black or white.
Rapman used those around him, the others working behind the scenes to even produce the movie are mostly white from behind the scenes clips. If they had shown black people with all the technology, it would still have been a problem.
So, let’s leave race baiting aside and enjoy a beautiful movie. Would it have been better if the boss was black? People and the media are already labelling the movie as a black people movie just because of the main characters, some are even mixed race, spud is 100% white. They should all be ashamed of themselves for race baiting. Please get off your high horse and enjoy the movie.

The show is amazing, I binge watched all 6 episodes. One question though, why Micheal didn't go back in time to save his girlfriend when she was shot, when he saved all the others just minutes before?
He tried to prevent it happening, but it still happened. After she was shot, he tried to use his power, his eyes flickered, that’s why he ran instead
