    I’ve been on 52 bikes over the last year (bike photographer) and I traded my Indian Scout in for a GSX-S 1000F, which is the predecessor to this bike. It’s one of the best handling bikes I’ve ever ridden, and crazy comfortable. It easily plays in the same room as the BMW S1000 and Aprilia Tuono if you want to be naughty but at £2500-5000 cheaper. Would love to try the GT! I wish it had more grunt down low, but at 8-10k it’s an animal hahaha

      @jordanjoestar8839 Před 2 lety +3

      That's funny, I'm also a photographer for Indian, and riding hundreds of bikes I still prefer my GSX650F over almost anything! Love the Scout and especially the new Chief. Still sticking with my Suzuki.
      Needless to say I'm very excited that this new one has hit the market. Might just be the best available at its price point, just like it's predecessors.

    I have to say this is the BEST Suzuki GSX S1000GT+ review I have seen. I am considering this bike, ok I have already placed an order and your review just confirmed it's a great deal. You didn't just ride around you actually rode the bike like a real person. You were even cut off by that van dude- damn! anyway, thanks so much for this review. Thx for doing the review. I was up in Liphook to see family, but didn't have a chance to drop in to the shop, now kicking myself !! Question for you, I had a GSXS1000F (one of the originals), and like the naked version, the engine sounded burblingly wonderful. Have they muted it more for the GT, or do you think it is the same ? I know you've tested the naked recently and the faired some time ago (I think). Currently am seriously thinking of going back to this one as they have fixed the looks which is the one big gripe I had (whale-looking at the front). Only negative that stands out to me, is it is totally daft that they don't have easy to adjust preload on the back as they are aiming for pillions - I guess they may sort this in a future update. Not a deal breaker for me. Oh, one other question, is it still has flickable as the previous model and naked one ?

    It's ok but lower geared in top than a 5 speed 47 BHP Suzuki T500 two stroke twin from 1975, which did 80 MPH at 5,000 RPM in top gear. This bike has gearing that's too busy for a tourer, enough to get on ones nerves. I expect a drop of two teeth on the back sprocket would help greatly, albeit perhaps mess up the speedo reading.

    Nice review, thanks. My only outward criticism: It's not a 1200. I currently own an engine-modified Bandit 1200 and a stock FJR1300, and no 1000cc bike I've ridden can produce the same grunt. PS- Gearing: 70 mph at 5 Grand is a bit "busy" for Touring. Still, I like this bike. Too bad you can't test ride bikes in the US East.

      5k seems reasonable on a silky inline 4 such as this. Remember its a 1000 so tinier pistons and redlines @ 12k.

      I normally ride an FJR1300 and took the Suzuki for a test ride today. Whilst the FJR has more torque on paper it doesn't feel that way on the road. The Suzuki feels just as torquey as the FJR

    On several occasions in this video you used the adjective "leery" (?) to describe something about the character of the bike. Being a 'murican from Florida I'm not entirely knowledgeable of English/ UK jargon, but the dictionary I referenced defines that word as "wary or suspicious, usually followed by of." What did you mean when you used that description? I've heard Al Fagan from 44 teeth also use it in his videos. I'm puzzled.

    This wins over the Ninja1000SX for me because this is a lovely looking thing and Kawasaki's current design is..... well..... um...... the Z900RS is nice but the rest of their stuff looks like a genital wart made sweet love to Optimus Prime.

    Parts of the GT look nice but others not, like the back end where panniers go not so much, switch gear still looks Suzuki cheap, no adjustable screen, add ons rather than pack upgrades like Kawasaki do with the 1000sx, small tank and that engine in the GSXS was thirsty, totally love my 21 plate ninja 1000sx performance sports tourer, but then it has had a few versions to get it to its current model so maybe the GT in a few years will be a fair comparison. Suzuki sadly seems to have gone to the cheap side of the 4 Japanese bikes and in past few years the Kawasaki seems to have risen to the premium of the 4. always had the other 3 for many years but my 1st Kawasaki ever is just head and shoulders above, not quite Ducati finish but not far away. Great review, you must have been freezing ..

      Not sure what I am supposed to say to that? I review bikes for how I find them, other people's opinions are kinda irrelevant. Also clearly ergonomics is dependent on each rider, are these "others" the same height as me? Because I am taller than 95% of the country so I experience bikes differently from other riders.

    • @korazon3spinado
      @korazon3spinado Před 7 měsíci
