Jim masters a dark role just like he masters slapstick comedy. This man is far more than just funny faces, he's a real talent. never stopped surprising me through his entire career, always had me saying to people he is the reason i was into acting since the age of 5. big respect to mr. jim carrey, he was born for doing what he does best

This one's based on that case in Poland, right? About a wanna-be writer who killed the man who was involved with his wife or gf, or they were connected in some other way, and then described it to the last detail in the book he was writing, right? The one, which was shown as a documentary in so many true crime American shows, right? But from what I can remember, the writer and the murderer wasn't very clever and got caught by the cops quite fast! And when it comes to the prosecutor, it was open and shut case!
So, I guess they made the story a little bit more intriguing!

Watched this movie last night, and was stunned at how good the movie, Carrey and Czonkas were. Jim Carrey as a dramatic actor is vastly more interesting than his slapstick roles, good as they were. Rotten Tomatoes giving the film a ' 0 ' rating is all to the good, IMO.
