    You are the best. Authorized Ford service center couldn't fix start/stop system since one year. Your way managed to do this. Start-stop is now working well! I didn't switch battery, previous owner only ride a car in short distances.
    Thank you!
    Maybe you or others could help on another challenge? How should eco mode work on mk8 st 2019 (switching to 2 cylinders) any icon on the dashboard should show? How I should know if it's on or off?

    • @DansDiagnostics
      @DansDiagnostics  Před rokem

      Thank you. Is it the ST Line 1.0l ecoboost you're talking about? The car doesn't let you know that it has entered/exited cylinder deactivation mode

      @@DansDiagnostics I'm satisfied user of 2019 Mk8 St3 1.5l 200KM with performance package. Driving on normal mode I can't recognize when car runs on 2 cylinders. Previous owner mentioned that somewhere on dash "eco" icon was visible after cylinder deactivation. That is why I'm looking for more details.

      Park your vehicle and do not use or start the vehicle for 4 hours then all is good. Only have to do once.

    Hi, is it possible to completely remove the battery without first taking off the air filter? Thanx in advance.

    • @DansDiagnostics
      @DansDiagnostics  Před 10 měsíci +1

      Hey, thank you for your comment. If I remember correctly the battery can be removed on the MK8 Ford Fiesta without the need to remove the air filter housing but it is very tight and it is easier/safer to remove the air filter housing first. Attempting to remove the battery without first removing the air filter housing can result in damaged parts or personal injury so I would advise against it. Hope this helps

    Hi Dans, thanks for sharing. I have fiesta 1.5 S AT 2014 is it possible to use the same method on resetting BMS after changing the battery as you shows in the video?

    • @DansDiagnostics
      @DansDiagnostics  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi, thanks for watching and commenting.
      This method works on most Ford vehicles that I have tried it on, however there is another reset procedure that usually works when this one doesn't.
      Ignition on
      Rear Fog pressed 5 times
      Hazard switch pressed 3 times
      You should see the battery light flash on the cluster if it has worked.
      Hope this helps

    My car is like 6 months old. All works but Ford pass keeps throwing deep sleep mode warnings. Battery voltage is 12,2 and the car is used daily.
    Even after doing 90km of highway at speeds of 120-130km/h, throws the same issue of deep sleep.
    You think this reset may help?

  • @duncanvizor6704

    Having problems with 2018 Smax, the dealer recalled and changed something on the BMS and the stop/start and the heated windscreen stopped working. No error codes were showing but it still didn't work. I think they possibly forgot to reset the BMS so when I get it back I will do it. One question, should I disconnect the battery before charging or charge it in-situ and then reset BMS. Also, does the stop/start take its information from the BMS level because I have read that if you reset the BNS with a used and slightly depleted battery it will work because of the the new lower threshold level. The stop/start does not bother me too much but the non-working heated screen is a real PITA.

    I have a 2 year old mk8 ST. It shows "turn off ignition or start engine". Is it OK to try the rest procedure without changing battery? Few months backs I didn't use the car for many weeks after that it's in regular use. I notice the message frequently these days

    Hi Dan, thanks for this. I have a MK3 Focus Tit X, are there 2 ways to reset this? Some videos suggest pressing rear fog x5 and then hazard x5

    • @DansDiagnostics
      @DansDiagnostics  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi, yes, this method works on the newer cars and on older ones without a rear fog button. Yours will need the ignition on, press the rear fog 5 times then the hazard switch 3 times and you should see the battery symbol flash on your cluster. Hope this helps.

    Hey man in worked !
    Question, we’ve got a ford st line 2019
    But both of the front window bounce automatically back when we want to close them, we cant fix the problem, do you got any idea how to fix this?

    • @DansDiagnostics
      @DansDiagnostics  Před 3 lety +1

      It most likely needs a software update or reset on the Drivers Door Module (DDM). Theres a manual reset procedure but this doesn't tend to work too well when the windows bounce back like they do. IF I remember correctly you start with the window down and hold the window switch up until it reaches the top, then hold down till it goes all the way down, release the switch then press it down and hold for one second, then hold up till it gets to the top. IF it doesn't bounce back press and hold up for one second then try the one touch down and up and hopefully it'll reset. If not I'm either not remembering it correctly or it most likely needs the DDM update/reset. It is under warranty tho so you could get it sorted at your local Ford dealership 😁

      Yesterday i installed the New update!
      But i didnt worked, ive readed On internet that its a safety option for when something come in between it automatically bounce back, hands of little childeren as example
      Can’t you make a video for the manual procedure? I’d really appreciate it!

      The reset for your vehicle should be…. Ignition on, press rear fog light 5 times, then hazard warning lights 3 times.
      Battery light should then flash 3 times to indicate it’s reset.
