    This test was conducted in the UK on 23 January 2022 on my personal BMW 525d. It is no way connected to, endorsed or sponsored by Autoglym. They did not know about this test.
    Our Tim loves a bit of snow foam, especially some snowfoam slow mo action! And the autoglym polar series certainly delivered on that.
    The autoglym polar blaster produces some quality snow foam, lovely thick foam and works wonders with the polar series products.
    As for the autoglym polar blast snow foam review - its an amazing product that removed 90% of the winter grime of my car in minutes.
    I wanted to do a video of detailing the dirtiest car, and after six weeks an 3000 miles of winter driving, my BMW 5-Series needed a good bath! Let the autoglym polar review and autoglym polar blast review begin!
    In this video, I test the entire autoglym polar range, including the polar blast, polar wash and polar seal for its snow foam and cleaning action.
    This video is also useful as a ‘how to detail a car for beginners’. The results speak for themselves. If you want to know how to detail a car at home, this video will show you.

    Hey Tim. Great Video. The Polar Seals say 40ml to 200ml because AutoGlym recommend you using no more than 40ml of the product as unlike the polar blast or wash it wont make any difference on the results. If they put it in a ratio form, then the amount of product and water you use is up to interpretation and can bring a less protected effect. Also one capful is equal to 10ml so it`s easy to put four of them in and then 200ml of water.

    Regarding the lack of markings on the side of the bottle. You could grab a permanent marker pen and mark these yourself after measuring the required amounts and pouring them in the pot. I don't use a squeegee. I used one once and got more streaks than I did from a micro fibre cloth, so I stick with that. I'm wondering whether to buy the Auto Glym foam gun? Is it any better than the Karcher one, bearing in mind you've got to use it on max to get a decent foam?

    I would opt for wheels first, personally. The Polar Blast and Wash require no more than half the Polar Snow Blaster capacity and even the 40 ml Polar Seal/200 ml water is more than enough. This is based on a two-seat sports car and (separately) a 4X4. It's worth mentioning that, even with the benfefits of the Polar Blast, there is no substitute for elbow grease during the wash stage. Terrific products, great video, Tim.

    Τhe reason Autoglym says 40ml to 200ml water for the Polar Seal on the Polar Blaster is that on the bottle of Polar Seal, Autoglym says that there is no benefit to use any more than 40ml (or four coupfuls) of Polar Seal on your car. So, you can use as much as Polar Blast and Polar Wash as you need for your car but 40ml to 200ml water for the Polar Seal is just enough for every car. Nice video by the way...!

    @vivianhughes9347 Před rokem

    Hi Tim, a very informative video. Thanks for posting.
    I just bought the Polar Blast recently and mixed it per instructions and tried using my Karcher with it's bottle - ie not a Polar Blaster. The results are very poor and the foam doesn't shift any dirt. Just wondering, before I go out and buy the Polar Blaster, does yours swing so that the bottle stays downwards? Your comment at 10:20 on the video suggests it does. Mine doesn't. So I'm wondering if my mixture is being further diluted when I'm moving the bottle at different angles when I'm spraying? Any advice you could give would be much appreciated. Many thanks, and best regards. Vivian

    • @OurTim
      @OurTim  Před rokem +1

      My pleasure Vivian, hope you enjoyed it.
      Yes, the polar blaster is designed to swing on the quick release adapter (I believe the blaster comes with a Karcher adapter in the box), keeping the bottle and mixture upright.
      What is likely happening with yours is as you move around the car and the mixture is being used, the pipe inside the bottle is being exposed to the air inside the bottle and it is not sucking up mixture, meaning you are effectively spraying water on the car.
      The Blaster is very good, not only does it have a mixture adjustment on top, but the nozzle end can be adjusted to change the spray pattern.
      AG's customer service is v good too. My bottle had an issue where it would effectively fall off if it was over tightened. I contacted them and they sent a replacement bottle out in a couple of days. Never had an issue since.
      I've also tried the blaster with other snow foams and found it always produces a good mix and great coverage.
      Hope that helps and you consider subscribing to the channel! 👍

    • @OurTim
      @OurTim  Před 2 lety

      100% Polar Blast is working, you can see it getting into the dirt at 3:35 in the video. That dirt was a mix of 8 weeks worth of mud, water, salt and winter grime on UK roads. Washed plenty of cars in the winter over the years and an initial spray down only really wets this mix, doesn't remove much at all.
      I've used Magma too, awesome product, can imagine its great for getting brake dust off the wheels from 6pots!

      Yes you can but I would still wash the mit out regularly as you go over the car. One piece of grit can do a lot a damage. If you are washing it out regularly, you should be ok, but then the mit is getting more charged as you effectively collect the shampoo off the car initially. I have done this method before when in a rush, and it was fine 👍

    Interested to know how long that bead action lasts after application? Any insight anyone?

    • @OurTim
      @OurTim  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Yes. Found it depends on conditions.
      I’ve found if dirt builds up, it tends to lose some bead action, as the layer of dirt is preventing it from beading but it’s still there in places. If it’s really wet, it lasts 6-8 weeks. It’s still beading but not as strong.
      Giving the car a quick once over, I’ve seen the bead remain after a wash with AG shampoo, not as strong when first applied but still there.
      On the whole, 8-12 weeks or 3-5 washes in my experience.

      Beads sitting still on a car are not great for the paint, but when you move, they'll soon fall off. Also make it easier to clean in future.
